We were so fortunate to have Ivan as our guide, who was friendly, welcoming, and organized. His love for his hometown of Hualien, and deep knowledge of everything that makes the region so special, was clear. Ivan also went out of his way to make sure we got the best photos of the sights in Taroko Gorge. We were especially appreciative of his food recommendations for our remaining time in Hualien. Having visited two of them already (Presotea and a grilled corn vendor), we can confirm that he gave us great advice! One day tour of Taroko national park with Mr Jason Lee was an unforgettable experience. Very well structured and carefully planned. Jason is a local person, knows every nook and corner of the area and has a wealth of knowledge about Taiwan’s complex history. Strongly recommended.

This is my first family vacation to Taiwan. We had for 4 days with Jack who came all the way to Taipei to pick us. We toured to a few cities such as Yilan and Hualien. Jack is a gentleman who is knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Safety is priority to us and Jack drives steadily and safely from place to place. He is always alert to our needs and whereabouts. We went as a group of 4, it was super memorable! Ivan is such a great guide, always made sure we were comfortable. He drives super well, especially up to Hehuanshan, and always shared with us the history of Hualien. He was very accommodating and made sure we had a great time by customising the route for us. My friends also proposed on this trip and he brought us to all the photo worthy spots (he chose the timings when it was less crowded. He was super detailed and we had so much fun! We are very impressed by his love and enthusiasm for the country. Thanks Ivan for the wonderful trip. Will definitely be back and engage Ivan again!

Went on a customised 5 day tour with Ivan covering Hualien, Yilan and Taipei. Overall Ivan was a great guide who was able to adapt to our desire for the tour to be relaxing and fun. Took lots of great pics along the way. Blessed to have a great guide for our trip.

My family of 3 adults, 2 elderly, and 1 toddler toured with Ivan for 4 days - we started in Taitung, and travelled along the east coast (both along the coast, and along the valley), to Hualien. We had such a great time! Ivan is fantastic. Let him know what you want to see if you like (or your interests), but it's not necessary because he knows the east coast so well, and can customise the tour for you & your family to perfection. He also has the best suggestions for food!! We had such a memorable time, thank you Ivan, we will be back!!

I travelled Taiwan for 10 days with my elderly mum and engaged Ivan for 3 days: Tarako Gorge, East Coast and East Valley. Tarako Gorge was a place where I most looked forward to and however most worried for my mum who was having knee joint problem. We managed to cover most parts of Tarako Gorge and my mum enjoyed the spectacular rock formations. Ivan has helped my mum minimize walking without compromise missing too much beautiful scenery. He knows what is the best time to visit the places and avoid crowd; also knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He has also introduced us the local foods and treated us the fried pan cake with egg (炸弹葱油饼) and Taiwan sausage (飞鱼卵香肠)。 I am glad that I had engaged him as our tour guide and highly recommend him. I will still find him should i visit Taiwan again.

We had a perfect 6-day tour with Ivan in October 2019. He catered very well to all our wants and needs. He knew the area incredibly well, took us to eat new/exotic food and took us to see beautiful landscapes (was a great photographer too!). Ivan was very very nice, flexible and a great driver too. Everything was incredibly planned and organized. Would highly recommend and will certainly go to him again if we're in the area.

I almost never leave reviews on Tripadvisor, but this was hands down the best tour guide and driver we've ever experienced. My fiancee and I were travelling to Taiwan for our wedding photoshoot and needed a guide/driver to bring us around the different scenic spots. Out of all the different people I spoke to, I decided on Ivan because 1) He was highly recommended by a friend, 2) He was the only one that was actually FROM Hualien, 3) He spoke very fluent English and communicated through Whatsapp in English too! His rates were also very very reasonable. Two days before our trip, I got a pleasant text from Ivan saying that he had upgraded our transport to a 9-seater instead of the 7-seater we paid for - at no additional charge. Just because he felt that the 9 seater would be more comfortable for us travelling with our wedding gowns and luggages. The tour with Ivan couldn't have gone more smoothly. He was early at the Hualien train station to pick us up, shared with us his deep knowledge about the city and its attractions, recommended scenic spots for photo-taking, and brought us to numerous delicious eateries to taste their local delicacies. Best of all, on our arduous drive to taroko gorge and Hehuanshan, his driving was confident, stable, and very comfortable. He made the narrow and winding roads feel so effortless to drive through. He's so familiar with the roads that he even knows where the rest areas and toilets are by heart. Incredible. Last of all, he has a wonderful personality. Easy to talk to, confident in his skills, and very flexible in accommodating to our needs and requests. Perhaps the best compliment I can give is that our 3 days with him felt like we were travelling with a long-lost friend rather than a tour guide. Even our wedding photographer got his contact for future wedding shoots in Taiwan (he's able to bring you on tours all over Taiwan, not just Hualien). Ivan was such a delight to have for our trip. He made everything easier and more convenient. Was easily one of the best things we did in our 10 days in Taiwan. Dear Ivan, if you're reading this, all the best and we'll see you soon!

We had an enjoyable 7-day Taiwan trip guided by Ivan. He was recommended by my Niece. Before we plan our trip, Ivan had provided us useful information and also helped us to plan the Itinerary. Ivan was very patience, punctual and responsible person. He even helped us to carry our luggage. He also clam and skillful driver and well known the road. He brought us round this 3 destinations exploring beautiful scenaries, eating their local food, telling us the history and happenings to the places we visited. Guide was punctual, friendly and acommodating. The Replies from our enquries before our trip was very prompt and detailed. Overall, it was an awesome trip and will definitely recommend it to my friends and relatives.

We had an amazing time with Vincent for 7 days! We started our trip in Taichung, Cingjing, Hualien and Taipei. He was very accommodating and very helpful throughout the whole trip. We had an amazing 5 day tour guided by Ivan. He created a memorable experience which we will not forget. He was very passionate, knowledgeable and explained in detail about the places we visited.
