    Shin is a great guide!
I had an incredible experience with our Japanese tour guide while exploring Hiroshima and Miyajima. Shin has an extensive knowledge and brought the history and culture to life, and their enthusiasm created an engaging and memorable journey. From the Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima to the iconic floating torii gate in Miyajima, every moment was enriched by their insightful commentary. His attention to detail and genuine passion for sharing the beauty of these places made the tour truly exceptional. I highly recommend Shin for an enlightening and enjoyable exploration of these historic sites.

    Amazing Time
Kiyoko was an incredible tour guide. She picked us up at the port and then took as to take the ferry to Sakurajima Volcano. It was breath taking. After ferrying back to mainland we stopped by a local market to grab some snacks. We then headed to Sengan-en (Japanese Gardens). It was amazing to learn that they used cats in battle to tell time of day with. "Round at six, like an egg at eight and four, like a persimmon seed at ten and two, and a needle at midday." Really really cool place. I wish we had more time to explore it.

    Best Kyoto experience
My son and I had a wonderful tour with Yoshi as our tourguide. He showed us the most amazing places in Kyoto, introduced us to the geico district and thoroughly answered all our questions. Not only did Yoshi provide us with Information about Kyotos Heritage and sightseeings, but he was also an amazing Partner for engaging discussions. It was a wonderful tour that finished off with a delicous traditional japanese lunch at Yoshis „secret“ restaurant. I definitely recommend this tour and especially Yoshi - Yoshinobu Tanizawa!!! Thank you so much!

Half-day tour of Himeji with Chiyuki
We had a wonderful half day tour of Himeji with Chiyuki--who was a fabulous, enthusiastic, informative guide. She was the best guide we had on our entire Japan trip! We loved her energy as she guided us through the city of Himeji, the castle and the beautiful gardens next to the castle. She even led us to a great sushi restaurant near the train station before our trip back to Osaka. You can tell she really loves her city. We strongly recommend Chiyuki and this excellent tour of Himeji!

We had a fantastic tour with Yuji
This was a fantastic tour. Yuji has to be one of the best guides we have had. He is very organised, but flexible. He is very knowledgable about the history of Hiroshima and Miyajima and about the religions associated with the temples on Miyajima. His special additions greatly enhanced the experience. We had well-presented information to read on the train ride. We will remember his flute playing in the forest. We greatly appreciated his good humour and generosity. Thankyou Yuji.

Great customized tour! Sato-san was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and eager to accommodate us. Highly recommend!
Even before our tour day, Sato-san began communicating with us to find out more about our interests to customize our half-day tour together. She then offered to meet us in our hotel lobby when we were uncertain of train usage to meet her in Kurashiki. She was knowledgeable and enthusiastic and brought maps with her to explain history, geography, and context. Although not initially interested in the Ohara Museum, we were glad she encouraged us to visit: it was a treasure trove of Western art and an amazing curated collection of art while also showing artist Kojima’s stylistic evolution. After our time together, she recommended we eat udon at Furuichi Bukkekan, a local noodle specialty. Delicious! We highly recommend Sato-san and would hire her again for any future trips in the area including Naoshima.

    Great tour guide in Hiroshima
Kenji Kasawa was our great guide in Hiroshima. He gave us clear and detailed explanation of the displays, museums and monuments. He guided us into shopping areas and to a typical local Ramen noodle shop for local flavor. I recommend Kenji highly for a tour in Hiroshima.

We had a very enjoyable tour around Mt Fuji Kawaguchiko 5 lakes area with Masako. Even though it was a cloudy day we were able to take some great pictures. She was very courteous and provided recommendations and options for us. Thank you Masako for the great Mt Fuji tour experience!

Junichi was incredible! This tour was our favorite from all over Japan. He tailored it to our exact interests, and we covered a lot of ground while not feeling rushed. He has a great sense of humor and always made sure that we were doing okay and interested in where he was taking us. He's so knowledgable about history and culture, and he took us to an incredible lunch spot! He went above and beyond ensuring that we had a great time. I highly, highly recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you so much, Junichi!

Fabulous Guide for an Amazing Kyoto Tour
We had an amazing tour through Kiyomizu-dera and Gion with our fabulous guide, Yoshi Tanizawa-san. Besides being fluent in English, he was clear, thoughtful and engaging. He was able to cater to the needs of two school going children and two adults. He kept our kids engaged with on-spot “quizzes” so that they are familiar with the sights and history. He was authentic with our kids and was warm in his discussions with them. With us adults, he was clearly knowledgable and patient with our questions, interspersed with his past experiences. He topped the wonderful tour with an unforgettable lunch surprise! You know Yoshi-san did it right when our kids asked to meet him again when we are next in Kyoto! Thank you, Yoshi-san for an amazing experience!

one of the best tour i have taken so far!
This tour was amazing! im traveling alone so i always go to some tours the first day i arrive to a city, and this was the best tour i took in hakata. Sasuke , the guide who took the tour, she has a lot of knowledge of the city, the temples, shrines and fukuoka castle! she was very kind to help me to get a new phone after i broken the old one. we got to see the laying buda, kushida shrine and even the first zen temple of japan. i learned a lot of japan history and also could tied up things i already knew to fukuoka and hakata! im very grateful of all of her patience and good disposition of walking around the city. どうもありがとうございます! Our guide, Hiro Chikata, suggested an itinerary beforehand which we liked, also advising us it was subject to change as we might wish. Hiro was very knowledgeable and was able to answer our many questions. He also knew the transportation systems very well so we were able to maximize our coverage and time. After visiting the Tsukiji Outer Market we proceeded to the Imperial Palace where Hiro knew foreign ambassadors would be arriving by horse drawn carriage to present their credentials to the Emperor and we were able to witness the rare event which had only been announced the previous evening due to security protocols. We also went Asakusa to visit the Shrine and take in the view of the area from the top of the Asakusa Tourist Information Center. Hiro then took us to lunch at a wonderful small sushi restuarant after which we proceeded to Shibuya and the Meiji Jingu Shrine. We then walked down Omotesando Street and through a shopping mall there before parting ways. Hiro actually stayed longer than he was scheduled to and made sure we got back on the correct subway line before leaving us. We never would have experienced and learned about what we did had we done it on our own. We highly recommend Hiro if you want an excellent tour of Tokyo

Delighted to learn that you are satisfied with the Tokyo Full-Day Tour of JGA. You were very lucky to grab an opportunity to see the first horse-drawn credentials dedication ceremony this autumn held in the Imperial Palace. Since the Sushi Bar we went to has only 8 chairs, I have invited very limited guests only. It has well preserved the Edo nigiri tradition. HIRO

My 17 year old son, in Tokyo for two weeks of language school, joined me for a full day private tour with Eriko. Eriko was prompt, organized, approachable and friendly. We let her pick the itinerary and weren’t disappointed as we went from Buddhist shrine, to anime district, to Shinto shrine to a fabulous lunch in a hip shopping district. Eriko shared history with facts - while checking in to adjust her depth of details to our personal liking. Eriko was also willing to share a bit about her own life in Japan when we asked. This made for more interesting conversation about Japanese culture and history. Thank you Eriko and JGA for making our day tour in Tokyo awesome. I am looking forward to the next guides we plan to meet in Nara and Kyoto.

We booked our private full day tour for 0930 the day after we arrived to get an early overview of Tokyo and, as first timers to Japan, learn how to use the Tokyo subway and see some of the major sights early in our stay.
Andy was a great guide and wonderfully patient as we were pretty tired.

He was in touch as soon as we booked the tour before our arrival and met all our sightseeing requests, provided a detailed itinerary prior, met us at our hotel, took snaps during the tour and forwarded them a few hours later.

He gave us an excellent cultural overview and lots of tips to make our holiday ahead much easier in Japan.

It's a great tour, but if you're just after an early orientation on your first day in Tokyo to learn the ropes, we'd recommend taking the half day tour, or take the full day tour on your second day. But the full day tour was fantastic and we slept very well that night.

Thank you for your wonderful review. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, and it rained at the last minute, but I'm glad it didn't turn out to be too bad and we were able to enjoy the tour. Tokyo's subways don't have many escalators or elevators, making changing between subways a chore. sorry. I agree with your opinion because the tour the day after arriving in Japan is very tiring. I had guests who came to Japan early in the morning and then went on tours, which were very surprising. If you have a chance to come to Japan again, I hope you can enjoy the tour at your leisure two days after your arrival. Andy

We booked the full day tour on the second day in Tokyo to learn and see as much as possible about this fascinating City. Seky our guide met us at our hotel at 9am. Seky was excellent and brought us to many of the sites while explaining their history and cultural significance. The six hour tour was exactly what we’d hoped for and could not recommend this enough especially if you’re lucky enough to have Seky as your guide.

Seizo Kaminto and my husband corresponded in email many months ahead of time, till Seizo came up with a very well-planned itinerary taking trains and subways around Tokyo. We landed early at Haneda, he’s been early as well and introduced himself and gave us an overview of the day’s plans. Plans had to change slightly because our young son got very tired walking and we keep requesting to sip cold drinks in cafes due to the July summer heat. We did not anticipate it would be very, very hot. The trains and subways seem complicated for us to take on our own, we could not have figured out how to get around without his help. He was extremely helpful and he patiently explained to us the train stops and how it connects to the next train line. We were able to see the outside of the Imperial Palace, the historic Asakusa and the entrance to the Meiji Shrine… all while explaining Japan’s wonderful history and even extra (making it more fun and relevant to us!). It was important for us to see the Pokemon Cafe, the Anime District, and the Happy Pancake. Seizo gladly and patiently granted our wish despite, moved from store to store to find the specific toys my son was looking for. He is just excellent! We are very lucky to have Seizo as our guide.

It was my pleasure to guide you in Tokyo including Pokemon Cafe and Akihabara and I was very relieved that your son could buy the specific toys he was looking for. I wish you and your family the very best for the future. Best Regards Seizo Kamiuto

My guide Nobuo Kokure was extremely knowledgeable about all of the locations visited from Imperial Palace to Temples, Shrines, markets and shopping streets. His english was excellent and he had a wonderful and welcoming demeanour. I would thouroughly recommend this tour as it can be adapted to suit your own requirements. I have visited Japan many times before but it was amazing to go to places i hadn’t seen before. I have only ever used the Yamanote line which does a giant loop of the city and had never ventured into the Metro subways but with Nobuo’s help I now feel confident to use the Metro solo. Great tour!!

Hakura was simply the best tour guide we have encountered during our two-month Asia visit, which included Việt Nam and Cambodia. She speaks English like an American (she is married to one) and is extremely knowledgeable and well organized. She suggested a great one-day itinerary for us and guided my wife and me (two 70-something Chicagoans) expertly through the mysteries of Tokyo public transit. We loved every minute of her tour, especially a dining experience at a restaurant frequented by locals. We only wish we had scheduled more tour days with Haruka — she’s that good. Hiring Hakura was one of the best decisions of our trip.

We had an amazing two days with our flexible and knowledgeable guide Kazu Hakata. He had excellent communication before the trip and also organised a tea ceremony for us. He changed the itinerary around the typhoon so that we were indoors during the very rainy parts. Kazu could answer our many questions from life in modern Japan and the many historical aspects to this beautiful city. Highly recommend.

Thank you very much for your kind message. Even during typhoon day, we could manage to visit many places without disturbed much. We saw Shinto Marriage Ceremony at Meiji shrine, enjoyed retro area, and very calm Rikugi en park. We think we were very lucky. Hope you will return again to Japan and explore new charmes. Thank you. A wonderful day spent with an exceptional tour guide. I have been fortunate enough to have done a decent amount of travelling, but I have never had an experience like the one with Kazuo! 2 weeks in advance of the booking he started gathering information to create an itinerary with recommended stops and food! He answered all of our questions and ensured we were well prepared before we arrived. On the tour day he was excellent at navigating the crowds and ensuring our time was well spent - he also takes great pictures! Thank you for a wonderful day Kazuo! If you get him as your guide consider yourself very lucky 😊

Thank you very much for the good review of my guide service. Since you were so kind, respectful and considerate from the beginning of our correspondence, I could be enthusiastic about preparing your itinerary and guiding on the tour date. I was also surprised that you and your wife quickly mastered the use of chopsticks at a ramen restaurant. I appreciate you giving a word of prize as to my photo taking technique. You may enjoy exploring Japan not only in Tokyo but also in other major cities. Please have a wonderful day! Kazuo

We had a great day with our guide Kazuo. Kazuo was really well organised. He contacted us well in advance of our visit to Tokyo and came up with an interesting itinerary that took us to places we would not have visited under our own steam. We rode lots of trains which was helpful for getting to grips with the public transport system.
The weather was not great - it poured with rain all day - but Kazuo remained cheerful and professional. He answered our questions without bombarding us with loads of historical and cultural detail, allowing us to get our own feel for Japan.
Kazuo really went above and beyond in every way and I’d happily recommend him to anyone looking for an intelligent, thoughtful person to guide them for a day.

Hi, thank you so much for your good review of my guide service. I’m so glad to hear you are satisfied with the tour. Now I think God showed you what wonderful scenery of historical spots like Temple and Shire are under the rain in Tokyo. You may be lucky in another meaning :D. Since you and your husband were respectful but also inteligente, I enjoyed the tour with you by talking about many kinds of things we have not yet known each other. The time flys on six hours though, I’m sure to say that you have a more fantastic journey in the rest of your days in Japan. Please enjoy! Kazuo
