- F9640BYnicoles00A great dayA lovely day out exploring Nikkō. There was so much to see and definitely worth the trip. Yoshi our guide had very good English and made sure our trip ran smoothly and catered to our needs.
- 827hannahd00Great day and great guideWe had a wonderful day exploring Nikko despite it being rainy. We had forgotten umbrellas but Haris out guide had some to lend to us. Haris provided explanations of the different shrines and history and suggested restaurants for us to eat at lunch time. He was a great guide and we organised another tour with him off the back of this tour. He was knowledgeable and gave local context to the different areas we visited. A great day!
- Nescanez00Completa excursión a Nikko!Yoshi was an excellent driver and he wss very careful, sharing with us many things of the japanese culture and traditions. He made that we felt confortable and very confident. He also recommended other places to go and orher traditional mesls to try. Thank you very much Yoshi and tripadvisor!
- adamtQ8393TZ00Efficient and punctual with a very nice driver! We did two day tours to Nikko and Fuji with Live Nippon/Tour Master. They arrange a custom schedule for us for the Fuji tour so that we could go to the Fuji Safari park. Communication was fairly easily despite English being a second language and arrangements were made rapidly. On-the-day communication via WhatsApp was excellent and the people carrier arranged was clear and comfortable. Haris, our driver, was very friendly, punctual and great with our kids! Overall, a very positive experience.
- CaliforniaSunMan00Historical and beautiful family tourShoaib was an excellent driver and guide for a full day tour of Nikko and area from Tokyo for our family of 6. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Japan including of Nikko Toshogu. Live Nippon and Shoaib were very accommodating in customizing the tour for our family, including young children. Nikko is over 2 hours from Tokyo by van, but I would recommend this day trip to get a bit of history and some beautiful views of Japan.
- 225heidip00A nice day trip to NikkoNikko was well worth the side trip for the Toshugu Shrine alone (one of the best we saw across several cities in Japan). Haris made our trip comfortable, with nice local context and driving skills. He offered to move the car for my elderly parents making their journey more enjoyable. Unlike other day tours to Hakone (and maybe this is because the entry to the shrine and falls are not included so the guide did not come with us), this was more of a driver-as-guide and not a true guide where they explain about the sites and history. The description says there is Wifi on the bus and there was not… a minor detail. Overall an enjoyable day with Haris who was accommodating and friendly.
- TMTRIP062300Wonderful Time.My wife and I were lucky to have Sebastian as our tour guide. He’s English and Japanese is superb! He drove us safely around the Kamakura area. Kamakura is so rich with history and Sebastian was remarkable in providing details. He knows its history and we really appreciated how he explained the difference between Shinto Shrine and Buddhist Temple. He gave us enough time to explore the area during lunchtime just to ourselves too! We went to see the The Big Budha in Kotoku-in Temple. We saw hundreds of Small Buddha in Hasa-dera Temple. We walked around the Bamboo Gardens in Hokokuji Shrine, this place is so serene. We also stopped at the High steps of Tsurugaoka Shrine and had pictures with hundreds of empty Barrels of Sake in display at Hachimangu Shrine. Our last stop before heading back to Tokyo is Enoshima Island. On the way there we drove by the coast beach of Inamuragasaki, but it was gloomy that day Mount Fuji can’t be seen but it was still nice to have some breeze from Vitamin Sea of Japan. And with all these sights seeing, Sebastian took beautiful pictures of us. Thanks so much Sebastian for this splendid experience.
- Terri L00Special Tateyama Alpen Route, Murodo Snow WallWe had a special tailored trip to Tateyama Alpen Route to experience the Snow Wall in June! Imagine that, snow in June. It was a learning trip as we have no idea what to expect and what to really do. It was also Live Nippon's first trip of this kind. We are absolutely thrilled to be on this learning journey together. Farroukh is such a patient and gentle giant. He was just like another family member on our journey. We were so blown away by the sights of the Murodo mountain top, the fresh air at Tengudaira. The cozy wonderful hospitality at the Tengudaira Mountain Lodge. All these made come thru with the expertise of Khizar and Farroukh. Special thanks to Farroukh for driving us to and back from tokyo, This was perfect trip and we look forward to trips with these guys.
- Leong P00DisappointedWhen I make the reservation for a one day tour, it should include a driver and a guide. There were 7 of us and we paid $902 and the whole bus to ourselves. To our disappointment we only had a driver who knows nothing about the history or culture of the places of interest. His job is to pick us up bring us to the places we need to visit and that’s about it. Anyone out there beware you could fall into this situation like us,
- Q9751YSbobg00Great time in NikkoWe had a great time today in Nikko. This UNESCO site I and its mountains and waterfall and important shrines are magnificent. Shoaib our driver and guide was knowledgeable, polite and helpful. Nikko is a great day trip from Tokyo and would recommend this Tour to everyone.
- kevinrZ6920UR00Fun dayWe had a great time in the trip to Nikko with our guide Shoaib. The temple was a highlight and so was the lunch. Would recommend this to all tourists visiting Japan
- Dwightcr00Awesome private tour to Nikko with RashikWe enjoyed a private tour to Nikko with our driver guide Rashik. Rashik was professional, friendly, entertaining and informative as he showed us the UNESCO Shinto Shrines, Buddhist temple, Chezunji Lake and more. He adapted the tour to our needs Highly recommend.
- cherie w00Amazing private tour of Tokyo! We just had an amazing private tour with Mukarram. We chose this tour because it is the first time for my elderly mom in Tokyo but a second trip for us. He was very patient, flexible and entertaining. We learned more information about Tokyo during this trip. We appreciate all the expertise and patience.
- JWJMM7300Great Day Trip to Mt FujiGreat day trip to Fuji with Haseeb. He made my son’s birthday extra special by organising a cake and a present of Fuji biscuits. He had excellent English and was knowledgeable as well. Highly recomnended!
- Ellie N00WONDERFUL TOURThe kindest and most gentle driver, I have ever met. 😍 Shoaib deserves 6 x star for the service he gave us. He was knowledgeable about the places he took us, he genuinely enjoyed answering all our questions in detail. 😃 He speaks Japanese, Russian, English, Urdu and Hindi. When we come back again from Australia, we want him. He was also very helpful in helping us get food to satisfy our dietary requirements, even looking up ingredients in the CAFE for us for some food and desserts. 🌹 Will definitely book again and advise family and friends because they will have a wonderful time like us 🥳.

We had the pleasure of having Khizar as our guide for a one day private excursion to Mount Fuji.
He was an excellent guide - very attentive, experienced and knowledgeable and he gladly answered all our questions about both the area and Japanese culture etc. And he was also happy to help us out with recommendations for our upcoming stay in Kyoto.
The tour was completely costumized to our wishes and pace and Khizar was able to show us a number of different locations with great views of Mount Fuji from almost every angle. The tour also including a boat tour on Lake Kawaguchiko with beautiful views of Mount Fuji.
We highly recommend booking a tour with this company as this is the perfect way to experience the beautiful Mount Fuji and its surroundings. And with Khizar you are in very good hands as he will make sure you have an unforgettable day and feel very well taken care off.

We had a fantastic day with our guide and driver, Rehan Ghazi, visiting Mt. Fuji and surrounding areas on Saturday, November 19. Our driver was very punctual and arrived to our hotel lobby 20 min prior to the scheduled time. The car was sparkling clean, there were snacks and water provided for our journey.
A word of advice: if you travel to Mt. Fuji on weekend, if possible, leave as early as you can, because the traffic around Tokyo becomes very congested. Please remember, that on weekends you will be waiting in the long queues to get on the ropeway and the boat ride on the lake - and there are no express lines ;). The entry fee to the mr Fuji is not included in cost of the tour and is 2100 ¥ per car , the ropeway and boat ride is 1600 ¥ per person.
We felt very safe with Rehan: he is a very safe and cautious driver and knows his route very well. He was able to recommend the best plan to utilize the most daylight and visit as many picturesque areas around mt. Fuji and speaks very good English.
Rehan was knowledgeable about the areas we visited, made good recommendations for photo spots and actually took some of the best family photos of visit for us!
Rehan, when asked, shared his observations about living in Japan, cultural and social customs, historical events, and if you would need a recommendation for a good Pakistani food in Tokyo - he could make wonderful suggestions for that :)
We would definitely plan to come back, hire this company again for transportation, visit on weekday and possibly try to climb the mt. Fuji all the way to the top ;)
Thank you, Rehan, for being a part of our unforgettable first visit to Japan.

Our tour was supposed to be on 29th Nov. But after the weather forecast reported that it'll be raining on that day, which meant that Mt Fuji would be hidden, we decided to change the tour date to 30th Nov by contacting the tour operator through the trip advisor app. I was sceptical that they would allow the change since I asked only 1 day before the tour. I was pleasantly surprised when they replied promptly and allowed the change on their end, though the date shown on the app cannot be changed.
Our guide to Mt Fuji was Zia, who was very knowledgeable on the driving routes around Mt Fuji and where the best spots are to get good views of the mountain. We visited Oshino Hakkai, Kita Fuji Hongu Sengen Shrine, Lake Kawaguchi (the Mt Fuji Paranomic ropeway & Oishi Park) and finally the Arakurayama Sengen Park in that order, before sunset at around 4.30pm. It began drizzling on our drive to the first stop. However we were incredibly lucky as the rain stopped and we saw Mt Fuji when we reached Oshini Hakkai, and later at Oishi Park, where we got the best view of the mountain. We couldn't have visited so many places in such a short time without Zia's experience around the place. Hats off to him!
If you're looking for a one day tour to Mt Fuji, you could consider this tour if convenience is your top concern and price isn't an issue. We were a group of 4 Singaporean females and paid about SGD 160 each for the tour, which excludes lunch. A little pricey, but no regrets as everything went smoothly and we didn't have to rush or rack our brains over how to get from one place to another, which seemed quite challenging given how remote the area was (to prove this point, we picked up a hitchhiker at Oishi Park who didn't know how to leave the place. But we weren't inconvenienced in any way).
All in all, a great tour!

Our guide/driver Rehan Ghazi was friendly, extremely helpful, and eager to share his vast knowledge about not only the attractions we visited, but also the country in general. The weather was unfortunately foggy the day of our tour, but Rehan arranged the itinerary to maximize our time there, patiently describing the route he'd propose, and was very receptive to our preferences. The restaurant he brought us to for lunch was also superb - great local fare at a reasonable price. Additionally, Rehan was attentive to one of my friends who became car sick from the windy drive down- which was really appreciated. Overall, it was a comfortable tour during which we felt well taken care of!

Haseeb was our tour guide for this trip and he was super friendly and helpful. The itinerary was highly customisable and when we were speeding through some of the attractions, Haseeb offered to take us to a traditional bathhouse and it was aMAZING. I felt completely spirited away! If you go to the bathhouse, I recommend after paying for your entry, select and pay for a private bath for an hour and you can sit in the onsen and look at Mount Fuji. It is beautiful.
As for the tour, we were unlucky with the weather, and couldn't get up to station 5, and we also could not see most of Mount Fuji but many of the places we went were great anyway.
I would recommend doing this tour with a bigger group to keep the costs down, as it is pretty expensive to split between 2 people.

Our guide Shoaib was in our hotel at the appointed time, he gave us a brief description of the tour, what is included and what are our options. Our group of six has one elderly and a 5 year old kid. We chose the light snd easy option, no need to rush but enjoy each place we chose to go to. Shoaib was very accommodating and he made sure we catch the ferry that goes around the lake, that we don’t waste time waiting for lunch at restaurant and that we are able to catch the great sight of Mt Fuji just before sunset. Overall trip was well worth it, we will surely take another trip like this next time we are in Japan!

This was an excellent tour. A friend and I did this tour on 1/16/23 and the weather was terrible. We didn’t get to see the mountain at all but our guide HASEEB! Was the bright spot in all of it an he went out of his way for us. He was early picking us up. He suggested an alternative it itinerary that was helpful and he was extremely polite and accommodating. It was pouring raining almost the whole time and his driving was perfect the entire way there and back. He just wanted to make sure we enjoyed our time and we did. I would most certainly recommend this tour and give it a 5 Star review 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Most attentive tour guide ever! Rehan treated us like treasured relatives continuously watching out for us on stairs, uneven sidewalks, etc., and making sure that we were very comfortable and well fed. He made sure we saw subtle details throughout the trip. He is an excellent and very patient driver in a very comfortable car. He is also an excellent and prolific photographer, by the end of the day he had taken more photos than we even had for our wedding (many years ago). We appreciated the hotel pick-up and private tour over the large group bus trips and think the added expense was well worth while. Certainly the traffic on the return trip was annoying (we napped) compared to taking the train back, but the personal care was well worth it.

We had an amazing day touring the Mt. Fuji area on Sunday, March 20 with our tour guide/driver, Rehan Ghazi. He was communicative, punctual, knowledgeable, friendly, and a safe driver! There were 7 of us in total and because he knew that we had kids with us, he made sure that the van he selected for the day would be spacious for the kids on the long drive and we really appreciated that. Ghazi created an itinerary that ensured we saw multiple sites with clear views of Mt. Fuji and he always had great suggestions for where to take the best pictures. When he saw perfect spots for pictures, he offered to take photos of our group and the photos he took were fantastic. Ghazi went above and beyond as a guide, including introducing us to kusamochi in Oshino Hakkai, facilitating our purchase of tickets for the cruise on Kawaguchi Lake and not only making lunch reservations for us at a delicious traditional Japanese restaurant, but staying with us until our party was called and we were seated.
Thank you so much Ghazi for making our trip to Japan so memorable! We highly recommend this tour!

Thanks to our thoughtful and friendly guide, Zohaib, our family of 9 managed to spend a wonderful day at around the Mt. Fuji area soaking up the best sights.
The tour was well planned and Zohaib even considered the weather forecast when sequencing the day’s itinerary and exercised a high degree of flexibility as well.
We had a great time and I would recommend this tour to anyone who had limited time and wishes to maximise your day at the Mt. Fuji area.

Yes! At lease with our driver (Haseeb).
He was very happy to pick us up at our hotel and drop us off at Kyoto Tower. The dropoff was closer than our hotel so that actually allowed us time to slip in one more (quick) stop.... an unusual one not on any of the tour agendas.
Haseeb also had no problem with us substituting "Ice Caves" for the second village. The overall feeling he gave us was that he was there for us, and was happy to customize the trip to our liking (as long as the trip ultimately ends at the right time). Hope that helps!

When we went we were picked up in an Alphard, which can normally only comfortably seat seven (7) people. But, I'm sure if you tell them your numbers and breakdown they will probably have a suitable vehicle.

Hi, my husband and I are coming to Japan in April. Is it possible to arrive from Tokyo in the morning and do a Mt Fuji/Owakudani and surrounds tour, then sleep over and do the Snow Monkey Park and Cherry blossoms the next day? Where would be the easiest to spend the night?

We only had time to visit 5 places on the day. We also liked to take our time to enjoy the places visited so didn’t rush from one place to another. If you want to do all 8 places, you should start early, plan your schedule with driver and be strict with your planned time one place 🙂 Hope this helps!
