We did the 2.30 pm trip on Monday 16th March which was probably the last week the train was running before lockdown. We got there early so had a good look round. It had been open for c just over a year when we were there and everything was in pristine condition - absolutely

Thank you for riding with us in the Steam Railway. You probably were on one of our last few runs before the Lock Down. We keep positive that we will again be open to the public within a few months. It is uncertain and tough times for everyone right now, but we stay committed. Keep safe and hopefully you will visit with us again sometime.

We arrived at 11:05, unfortunately missing the 11:00 AM train. Not a big deal, we went to the wildlife reserve just down the road. We came back for the 1:00 pm train to be told that they weren’t running it despite having a posted time of 1:00pm. They would run it at 2:30pm.

Thank you for posting this comment. Unfortunately this last few weeks with the virus scare on island and diminishing visitors to our attraction, we have tried to at least offer a reduced schedule depending on demand. Normally the train goes out exactly on time for each scheduled ride. As a family we have been adamant at punctuality on the railway, because one thing we Barbadians are not great at is punctuality!! But these are different times, and whilst we would normally have our rides full with visitors at this time of year, it has now been diminished to the odd walk-in, with the railway now forced to be closed from Monday, 23rd March unfortunately. We do apologize for the disappointment to the children and hope you keep safe and healthy against the virus.

If we'd realized the train was running and had the time to take the scenic tour, the visit would have been perfect, but it was pretty near! The home and grounds are lovely, with a fascinating history that is well covered by the guides. Family film from the 1930's adds to the

Opened for about a year, the railway adds to an already great attraction, especially if one's interested in Barbados history. I agree with all the "good points" made by earlier reviewers. The loco is a genuine steamer - a reconditioned 114-year old loco, originally made in

We had a lovely hours trip on the train. Great views at the top from cherry tree hill . My husband helped turn the train around. The driver was very informative about the history of the railway. It is lovely to see this small part of the railway restored. It is an expensive trip
