One of the best decisions we made on our cruise was hiring Winston for our stop at Falmouth. He met us right outside the port and his easy-to-follow directions allowed us to be the first people to leave the parking lot, which in turn allowed us to beat the tour buses to the Blue Hole by at least 45 minutes. Through his contacts at the Blue Hole, he secured us a fantastic guide, Ramon, to take us through the park. We could not have had a better day.
Initially we were supposed to be in Jamaica for 8 hours, but our ship docked late and it ended up having to leave an hour earlier than planned, as well. Winston worked with us to make the most of our shortened schedule, helping us modify our itinerary on the fly. We even worked in lunch at Scotchies! He took all the stress off of us and made sure we go to the boat on time. We are so grateful!
It was just my husband and me in the van, though it had the ability to fit many, many more. We didn't hear of anyone on the ship who got a better price or did more than we did. We give Winston our highest recommendation!

The blue hole and waterfalls was great for those that like the outdoor activities, it is a beautiful area with some fun plunges/ dives into the water areas. Guide at location was very knowledgeable with local plants/trees and energetic. Our tour driver , Winston, was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable about the area and will provide you with history and will answer any questions asked of him. Winston is friendly and reliable, he took us to a local shopping area where locals sell their own crafts and some of the ladies there also do braids. Expect to haggle for prices, it is expected and prices were fair. Winston took us to a local restaurant for Jamaican jerk chicken and it nice clean location and the food was all tasty. We tried chicken and pork and were both very good. We were also taken to a great high spot for a nice photo opportunity of the ocho rios bay with the cruise ship docked in background.
Overall I do recommend jamaicatours and Winston, he is a reliable and flexible. Our cruise had a last minute itinerary change, and he adapted to the different day port stop to provide us the tour and kept in communication with us via text, whatsapp and email.

If you want to see the Blue Hole and surrounding falls I highly recommend you book this trip. The other tour groups visit the more popular areas of the blue hole area which means it is incredibly crowded. A few notes though before you go, if you are arriving from a cruise ship in Ochos Rios...
Walk straight from the port, through all the waiting tour buses and through the main blue gate, you'll see a security person there, keep walking straight from the gate and you'll reach an area where the private tour groups are. You'll know it is then because they will be carrying signs with people's names on them. We located Henry and he told us where to wait while he pulled up the car. We then were off on the tour.
The drive to the Blue Hole takes about 30 min through mostly rural areas. Henry provided us with a lot of information about the Ochos Rios area on our way. When you arrive at the Blue Hole Henry will hand you off to your guide. He will stay with the vehicle the entire time while you are enjoying your tour and he keeps the doors locked so your stuff is safe.
Bring a camera! We brought an old cell phone in a water proof case. Our guide popped it out of the case and took tons of photos of us as he guided us through the blue hole and the falls. You can jump in and use the rope swing if you want. As you are hiking you'll come upon little shacks where people are selling food, beer, etc. Bring cash with you if you want to buy anything during the tour. After the tour our guide took us back to Henry. We weren't sure what was considered a good tip, but we gave the guide $20 and the same to Henry at the conclusion of the trip.
Henry was more than willing to drive us to another spot, but we chose to head back to the cruise ship so he drove us back to the port after. This was an excellent trip, very well managed by Henry. He took very good care of us and made us feel really safe the entire time.

Winston from Tour Jamaica Today drove us to Blue Hole. He picked us up on time, told us cool facts about Jamaica as he drove us, kept an eye on our bags while we explored and was just a cool guy to be around. Blue Hole was super cool! We jumped off of low cliffs, used mounted swings to swing from small waterfalls into the pools below, and then even enjoyed jumping off a higher ledge, farther back into the park. The hike was a little uneven and you will want water shoes, but it was easy enough for us in our mid-forties and our kids in their early 20s to walk through and enjoy. Do this trip and have Winston from Tour Jamaica Today drive you!

My husband and I came to Ocho Rios via Carnival Cruise and booked this private excursion because we wanted a private,
Customized and non-group tour of the island. Winston is an amazing and knowledgeable tour guide. We are still talking about our time in Jamaica. We made some great memories and plan to come back to see some more of the island and we plan to book again with Winston. We highly recommend excursion when in Jamaica. You will not be disappointed.

We had a really great day with Winston. The trip to the Blue Whole was fantastic. We had a great guide on site and even our 9 year old son jumped from every rock into the wonderful blue water. Winston told us a lot about the country and its people so that we could get a good impression of Jamaica. Reliable, nice and funny. Thank you very much. YA MAN

Winston (Masaman) was a pleasure to be around and gave us different options to choose from. It was just my friend and I who were picked up from the resort so we had more flexibility. Masaman drove us to the blue hole and our tour guide took us to the different spots to jump or swing. The falls were really heavy so the water wasn’t as calm as it usually is. If you plan to jump from the 25 foot spot, I would suggest a life jacket unless you’re used to jumping into the water from that high. You pop up much quicker.
After the blue hole, we asked to go to a souvenir shop where we sampled rum, purchased rum cakes and shot glasses. We went to Scotchies after, which had great Jerk chicken. Their sauce is more vinegary but the chicken was so good. We tipped both the tour guide and Masaman. Just keep that in mind it isn’t one person.

Meeting up with Winston outside the Pier and trusting him to select the perfect day of activities, food and relaxation couldn't have gone any better. We were supposed to do both Blue Hole and Konoko but after having the absolute best time at Blue Hole, we decided to change things up and asked Winston what he suggested. We went to Scottie's for great Jerk Chicken, Ribs and Pork and then on to a private beach area where the water was calm, beach almost empty and facilities for food, drinks and bathrooms! Flawless day with Winston, our Blue Hole guide that Winston selected named Omar and the beach!!! All we needed was the boat to give us more time!
Our family has been to Jamaica at least 15 times and have never gone to Blue Hole, now we will be calling Winston and going to Blue Hole EVERY TIME we are in beautiful Jamaica!

Winston was an exceptional tour guide for my girlfriend and I while in Jamaica. He was very courteous and patient and took the time to show us all around Ocho Rios. Winston is very knowledgeable of the area and was a pleasure to spend the day with. He picked us up right from the Cruise port and it wasn't hard finding him at all. I strongly encourage everyone to book privately through Winton's company (Tour Jamaica Today) and deal directly with him versus third party websites. We'll definitely be seeing Winston again when we return to Jamaica!

My friends and I had a wonderful time in Ocho Rios, Jamaica primarily thanks to our tour guide, Winston, who went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. Winston picked us up and got us to and from all of our scheduled excursions, shopping trips and more over several days. This was my second trip to Jamaica and on my next trip, Winston will be my first call. Highly recommend.
