What to expect
After midmorning pickup, travel with your guide about 24 miles (39 km) south of Ensenada to the Punta Banda Peninsula. En route, enjoy the passing landscapes of mountains and the Pacific Ocean.   Arrive at La Bufadora, the largest sea geyser in North America. Hear from your guide about how air, trapped in a sea cave, causes water to explode upward, often shooting more than 100 feet (31 meters) above sea level, creating a thunderous noise. Depending on the strength of the waves, this phenomenon repeats about every minute, so you are sure to see La Bufadora in action.   Then, your guide takes you to a popular sidewalk market of handicrafts and souvenirs made in Baja California. Find fun home décor items and gifts here, and then relax with food and drinks at one of the nearby restaurants (own expense) offering stunning views of the ocean.   Your 4-hour tour ends with drop-off back at your hotel.   Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.

La Bufadora
Picked up from our hotel, our guide, Jorge, whom is bilingual and knowledgeable about the history of Mexico and brought us to La Bufadora with great recommendations. We enjoyed our trip all the way. Got some great shots of us and ate some amazing food. Highly recommend this tour.

Best tour!

Our guide Eugenia was great. She was so friendly, well-informed, and made the experience perfect. She made sure we got there before the crowds came, gave suggestions for the best places to eat, and the most "authentic" souvenir places. I would recommend this tour to everyone!

Blow Hole of the Pacific - but those Tacos, oh my
Feb 2020
Our first of three visits introduced us to the La Bufadora. The rock formation is unique - so, when a wave comes in and crashes, the blow hole triggers - locals say that getting sprayed is good luck. The shops you pass on the way down have really agressive, but friendly vendors asking you to stop in their shop.
Trust me when I say, go get two tacos from Lydia's ($2 for fish or steak), right next to where the shuttles park. Using the bathroom there will cost $0.50 per person so bring a few one's.
Don't pay $30 for a pinapple colada - tell them "El Magnifico" said they are only $10, WITH a free refill on the way back. Slip him another $1 and tell them to make it "strong"

Jorge & Eugenia are fantastic!
We arrived on a Carnival Cruise ship and booked this trip directly with Eugenia beforehand. Jorge picked us up near the dock and was waiting for us with a clear sign with our name on it. We had a quick two-minute walk to a very nice and very clean, new minivan which sat the 5 of us very comfortably. Jorge was extremely professional and yet personal. La Bufadora was about an hour's drive from the cruise ship and we felt extremely comfortable with Jorge. He gave us a great recommendation for lunch and we felt very confident knowing he had local experience in the marketplace at La Bufadora. The trip was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

Awesome experience
Jul 2019 • Couples
Juan, our tour guide was great! He picked us up from our hotel in his car and offered us water and some snacks. As we were in the road to the bufadora, he showed us around and was pointing out some spots that he recommends us visiting. Once we got to la bufadora, he made recommendations where to eat and told us that he would give us time alone but that he would be around if we have any questions. He also took pictures of us and later sent them to me. It wasn't as crowded when we came (10:20am) but it got really crowded after 1pm. Definitely come early.
Overall our tour guide was just great! I would definitely book this activity again.

Great activity!
Apr 2019 • Family
Our tour guide, Eugenia, was great! She texted us before our scheduled tour. She provided a description of where we were meeting, and we were able to meet up with minimal issues. She had a nice clean van for my family of 5 with water and a snack. It was nice to have a local driver. She was very nice an was able to share insights into the local area. This definitely beats going on a tour bus!

We were able to leave early and arrive before the tour buses showed up. As a result we had La Bufadora with minimal people. It was fun to watch and enjoy. Don't forget a camera!

The walk from the parking to La Bufadora is an easy walk, but the vendors are relentless at times. They want your attention, and you just have to ignore them (unless you want to buy what they have). When buying, the vendors were willing to negotiate the price. There was a huge variety.

We ate at a place the tour guide suggested, and the fish tacos were great, but the views were spectacular. The place was near the end and it has a balcony.

No complaints and would do it again!

Great ocean views
Oct 2018
My 73-year-old mother and I booked this tour as an excursion to our cruise. The ride up the narrow mountain road was a little stressful, but the views were incredible. The ocean blow hole was actively spraying water.
The vendors were relentless in trying to get people to buy their products. We had to look down and keep walking to avoid being harrassed by them. The area where the bus parked was very windy and dusty. Not sure if it's always like this.
