These guys opened up during a global pandemic and adjusted their procedures accordingly. Loved the self guided walk through the old grown forest. Very professional. Highly recommend this company. PS.... went with the gal pals, the youngest is 60. Huge fun.

This tour was fantastic. We took the gondola all the way up. We saw bears on the way to the platform. All the staff were very friendly and informative. Then the zipline was amazing. We left grinning ear to ear. We highly recommend this activity.

The people I dealt with were awesome. From booking over the phone, to the final moment starting the ‘ride’.
Professional and friendly. I thought originally it was a lot of money, but the whole experience was definitely worth it! Will come back again!

Amazing and Breathtaking
Aug 2020
My hubby and I wanted something very adventurous and thought the Sasquatch would be the ultimate zipline experience. He had gone on one tiny zipline in Mexico and I didn't have any. We thought it would be great to go on the longest zipline in North America. We did watch a lot of videos on the Sasquatch and knew it was safe but the thought of careening 100 km an hour over 2 km of cable while suspended 600 feet above the ground made us doubt the rationality of our decision to literally take the plunge. Still, we went for it knowing that once we launched ourselves from the last step, there would be no turning back. And we did and it was amazing seeing the mountains, trees, and the valley below and feeling like a bird for the next 90 seconds or so. We're hoping to return for the Falcon Tour next month (September).

I also want to give a shout-out to the Ziptrek Ecotours staff of Whsitler who were all very professional, friendly, helpful, fun and super nice from start to finish. You're 50 percent of the experience and I want to say thanks for making it memorable.

I am now very religious.
Aug 2020
I pooed a little...erm...I spelled a lot wrong. Not exactly for the faint of heart.

The morning began as many in Whistler Village...Canada's escape from reality, and for us, at least, children. Escape from four children.

My wife jumped at the opportunity to do the Sasquatch. I said, "Honey, maybe the other ones would be better for us." Apparently not. She's the experienced 'thrill-seeker' after all.

I watched the YouTube videos beforehand and didn't really think much about it. How bad could it be? Seriously, it's just a little zippy line. Pfft..whatever I thought.

I work in communications so I know video is the best way to get a message to an audience. While the videos are good, they don't really tell the whole story.

After struggling into our harnesses and taking a 20-minute gondola ride up Blackcomb, we laughed at how much fun we were having. No kids, just each other, the mountain, fresh air, many others taking in the splendor that BC has to offer. Little did we realize the unhinged terror we were about to embark upon.

We got to the, shall we say, 'launch site' at 11am. My wife and I were the only ones there. The lone, shall we say, 'ferryman', was waiting patiently to harness us in. Naturally, in Whistler, he was a jovial Aussie (they always make you feel warm and welcome). I think this was a ruse to getting us across the River Styx to complete the transfer of souls.

Let's harken back to the videos and what they don't show. Peering over the edge of the railing we were suddenly aware that we might have made a horrible, horrible mistake. Two other poor souls had just launched and they quickly, and I mean bloody quickly disappeared out of sight and sound.

What lay before us was an open expanse of steep, broken, Pacific Northwest terrain ready to dismember our bodies as they are haplessly strewn at great speed across the forest floor as our ferryman cackles and chugs a Fosters.

My wife was the first to buckle in, I second. The ferryman (keep in mind we hadn't paid him personally) opened the sliding doors to the steps that lead dead people walking to the edge of the abyss.

My wife, the poor thing, said she couldn't do it. Wise choice I thought, and a good time for me to offer copious husbandly support and say, "That's ok I understand, we can go back down together." I secretly relished my ability as both a loving husband and as an opportunist to look like said husband and not the freaked out 48-year old I was at that moment about to wet himself and who believed death was imminent.

Sadly, I did not get that opportunity. Instead the ferryman, in his young enthusiastic, down under sort of way said, "You'll be alright mate."

So, as my wife looked on helplessly as her husband stepped into the abyss never to be seen again, I careened down the side of Blackcomb.

Fortunately, you don't have a lot of time to think about a mistake. It's literally one of those times in life when microseconds after your foot leaves the step, there is no going back. And it that microsecond is an echo of 'what have I done?'

Did I mention this thing is 2 bloody kilometres long and you reach nearly 100km an hour?

2 seconds into the zip and I'm utterly convinced I will die. Did I mention the zip line is 60 stories above the forest floor?

All of my trust and literal life is in the hands of engineers.

A minute and a half later it comes to an end, and I think I actually prayed.

My wife strengthened her nerve and came flying down shortly after. We both admitted to screaming pretty much the whole way. We congratulated ourselves over a pint at how unbelievably awesome we are at being awesome.

Now, onto the laundry problem.

A must.
We took our 6 yo son yesterday. Our guides were Sean and Euan. We had the most spectacular couple of hours. The guys were friendly and engaging and made everyone feel happy and safe. I’m afraid of heights but the experience of being in the forest was so incredible I forgot all about it. An absolute highlight and we will come back next year.

We missed our booking time on the Bear zip line and were offered the chance to do the Sasquatch instead and we're so glad we took it up.

The staff were friendly and helpful from the start. We kitted up and rode the gondola to the top of the mountain before a short bus ride to the zip line. Stepping off the platform and hitting speeds around 120km/h while flying over some of the most spectacular views was an amazing experience which was the highlight of our trip through Vancouver and west coast USA.

If you have the chance to do this zip line just DO IT (even if you're a bit nervous like I was). You won't regret it
