What to expect
Meet and greet the local tour guide and the rest of the small group near the front entrance of the Village by the Grange in downtown Toronto. There will be a brief introduction to Toronto before beginning the approximately 3.5-hour ride around Toronto’s eastern islands. The tour begins with a brief ferry ride across the Inner Harbour to the eastern Toronto Islands, where bicycles are preferred in this, the largest car-free community in North America. See historic landmarks like the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, the oldest existing lighthouse on the Great Lakes and one of Toronto's oldest buildings, and the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, one of the world’s oldest and largest yacht clubs. Then stop for a snack and admire Toronto’s waterfront parks and beaches, as well as a breathtaking panoramic view of the city skyline. Throughout the tour, the guide will provide information about the history of the islands over the past 200 years as well as its role as a residential community, recreation spot, transportation hub, scenic retreat — even a sporting facility. The tour ends back near the Village by the Grange.

Best way to learn more about Toronto Islands
Oct 2019
I highly recommend Toronto Bicycle Tours. The Toronto Islands Morning Bike Tour exceeded my expectations. I really appreciate that the tour took place, even though it was just me on the tour. My tour guide Terrence was fantastic. He knows a lot of interesting stories about the islands and how to tell them excitingly.
First, I was a little worried because you have to ride a short part through the city, to get to the ferry but the tour guides will adjust to your cycling speed and a helmet will be provided. I felt safe the whole time.
Thank you very much for the photos!

Beautiful ride and Great tour
Sep 2019
Everything about the experience was well done. We are a mid-50s couple and enjoyed the beautiful bike ride - combined with narration about Toronto and the islands. The equipment was great, with lots of attention to comfort (offers of ponchos, gloves, etc.) Our guide, Genny, was fun, pleasant, helpful, and a wealth of information. Highly recommend.

Best bike tour ever!
Oct 2019 • Solo
This tour was beyond my expectations! My tour guide was Genny, she’s a gem! It was a thanksgiving morning and it was just me on the tour. But the company didn’t cancel the tour just because it was only me and I really appreciate that so much! Great service! :)

It was really enjoyable and I got to know so much about the islands. Genny was really sweet and answered all my questions I had while we were cycling. She made me feel comfortable as well!

We actually got to cycle around the whole island too! And I got to know the history about the places around the islands. It was really fun! And cycling makes it easier to see the islands with less effort compared to walking. Was glad I took this tour up, was planning to walk on my own and would have probably given up halfway and missed out on a lot of stuff!

100% recommended!!! :) it’s gonna be fun!

Great morning exploring the islands
Oct 2019 • Couples
Despite a vey wet and cold rainy day this tour was fantastic - our guide Mia had lots of great info as we travelled through the islands and made us feel at ease navigating downtown getting us to the ferry. A great activity and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone (even on a rainy day!)

Seeing the city from a different perspective 😄
When searching for things to do in Toronto several months ago I found this tour and booked it on a whim, not really knowing what to expect. I’m so glad that I did! It was a great start to our trip, and, as no one else was booked on the tour it was just ourselves and our guide (Meandra). I don’t cycle often and was a bit worried about the city part of our cycle (to and from the harbour) but from the outset I felt totally safe. Our guide talked us through everything and gave us time to get used to the bikes before setting off. Being the end of season the islands were quiet (and are traffic free) which meant that even though we were close to the city it felt like a world away. During the tour we learnt a lot about Toronto and the islands and their history, Meandra was full of information and facts and always happy to answer our questions. We felt so comfortable with her it was like being out for a cycle with a friend! I would definitely take this tour again and will recommend it to anyone who visits Toronto. It is a lovely way to see a different side to the city life and my experience of using this company has been fantastic. An added bonus is that your guide will also take pictures (on their camera) which then get emailed to you a few days later. I wasn’t aware of this when booking so it was a lovely surprise!

A great trip with stunning views of the city.
Sep 2019
So glad we did this trip. Whilst I was very nervous about cycling through the city to get to the harbour front, Genny our guide made this very easy and safe for us all. The islands themselves were fascinating and the views back to the city were incredible. We were so well looked after. Fleece ponchos and gloves were provided because it was a very cold and windy day. Water and snacks also given. If you are going to Toronto, make this one of your trips - flat, easy cycling and great fun with a brilliant guide.

Great activity!
Sep 2019
This was a fantastic activity. The whole setup they have is great. The trip down to the ferry is very easy and the islands were great to ride through. The pace was very relaxed so everyone could easily keep up and enjoy the views. Highly recommend!
