I did the Auld City and the Dead House tour. I thought £17 might be a bit pricey but actually it was worth it. The tour guides are thespians and it was as good as a night out at the theatre. Our main guide, Chilla Black, had a vast knowledge of Liverpool's history, her eccentric persona was hilarious and the ghostly stories were chilling. She gave not-so-subtle hints that we weren't going to survive the
night and gazed into the distance with a subtle panic every time a siren went past, so when she offered to take pictures at the end, I asked her to strangle me. She was extremely happy to oblige. I had a great time and I would recommend this to anyone, skeptics and believers of ghosts alike

Well what can I say, other than this tour was 'dead' good! The theatrical skills of the tour guides and the improv with the general public absolutely made this experience. From the behind the scenes advice prior to attending (which was really helpful and kind) to the way the history and stories unfolded on the night shows how much work and dedication Shiverpool puts in and completely delivers...Highly recommend!!

This tour delivers everything it says on the can, our guide Cilla was funny, keeping us entertained throughout.
From ghosts to tales of murder and mayhem the tour has it all, she gave us an extra half hour to forty five minutes in the graveyard below the cathedral,.

Her whole persona changed at that point from one of funny one liners (she’s good at those), to one of total respect and reverence to where we were, as she relayed sad emotive stories from Liverpool’s past.

If you want a fun night out and enjoy walks of this kind could not recommend this more highly.
Thank you Cilla and “sister”.

My girlfriend and I loved this tour and both wish she'd be in the UK long enough to do another, definitely on the list for next time!

The guides were brilliant in delivery, handled hecklers with brilliant sarcastic finesse, also happy when they took a second to quiet the group again, helps to keep the atmosphere up when there isn't too much chatting during a tale.

My girlfriend loved the energy and passion of the actors, as an artistic person herself it gets her hyped the most to see passionate people displaying their craft.

Absolutely brilliant way to get an indulgence of liverpool culture and character along with the history!

We booked the Dead House tour and were not disappointed. The three actors and of course saucy Scott we're all great. We had a fantastic night, it was nice to try something different and learn something new about the streets we walk down all the time!

The guides were amazing and had us interested, spooked and laughing along the way. It was a busy Saturday night in town and the guides still made sure we could see and hear everything and kept in character throughout.

We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and look forward to booking the other tours Shiverpool have to offer. Thank you!

We’ve just got back from the Auld City & Dead House walk. It was so good! The guides were amazing, they really made the show x I took 5 kids aged 11-13yrs for my daughters 13th birthday and they all loved it. We laughed so much. They were scared but felt included, it wasn’t too much to go over their heads. There were a couple of drunken, public nuisances (it was a Saturday evening!) but I was glad to see that you had a security guard, who I hadn’t noticed at first so he was a welcome figure, especially with the kids and he sorted them out straight away. I couldn’t recommend it enough and will definitely be back. The lady was amazing! So theatrical, quick witted and very funny! Thanks again for such a good night x

The tour was ghastly good, thank you. Both actors / guides (Indiana Bones and Chiller Black) are very professional and creative. They employed some great tactics to keep us on our toes. It was nice to see security as back up for the guides, they didn't get in the way and joined in the fun at times! I learnt a bit of interesting history about my fair city in an entertaining way.

Follow the guidance given to you in the e-mail. It can get chilly, so wrap up. Toilet stop before you head out. And never, never be late(!)
