Itinerary

The Early Evening Cruise is both an entertaining and informative tour of the River Ouse. Escape the city rush and enjoy York from a different perspective whilst our friendly and knowledgeable team guide you leisurely up and downstream.

What better way to relax after a busy day in York than by putting your feet up on a 1-hour Early Evening Cruise. Enjoy an entertaining and informative tour of the River Ouse. This cruise departs at 7:30pm from King’s Staith Landing in York city centre.

During your cruise, your Captain will keep you entertained with a live, sightseeing commentary. Learn about York’s famous history of flooding and its previous prosperity as an inland port, all while sailing along the very river that brought the Romans and the Vikings to our beautiful city. This cruise is suitable for the whole family. You will return to the King’s Staith Landing at 8:30pm, allowing plenty of time to get younger passengers back to their hotel rooms.

The Early Evening cruise will sail on one of the five vessels, each of which has an enclosed heated saloon, Ladies and Gentlemen’s toilets and a fully stocked bar serving beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks, hot drinks and snacks.

Nice cruise down the Ouse

The cruise was a nice way to enjoy some of the sites of York and to learn a little of the history. Just remember to dress appropriately. It can get very cold in the evening on the water.
