Overview

Oxford’s public bus system caters much more to locals than it does to tourists. Save time and money as you explore on a hop-on, hop-off bus with a loop of 20 stops that's perfect for independent travelers. An open-air top deck delivers 360-degree views, while audio commentary is available via headset. Choose between 24- and 48-hour tickets.

What to Expect

Hop on the bus at a stop that suits you—perhaps at Oxford Railway Station—choose between cozy indoor seating or the open-air top deck, don your headset, if required, and explore away.

Depending on whether you’ve purchased 24-hour or 48-hour tickets, you’ll be able to hop on and off at any one of 20 stops, listed under itinerary below, for one or two days. Buses travel at 15–30–minute intervals, depending on the season, so you’ll never have a long wait for pickup.

Stops include Oxford Castle, the Sheldonian Theatre, and University Park, not to mention Christ Church College, a key filming location in the Harry Potter series. Soak up the onboard commentary and historic views as you savor this elegant city, hopping on and off when and where you want.

Bit disappointed

Pre-recorded (before 2016 as there was a mention of a building due to be updated in 2016). And to be honest fairly boring. Been on one of these in York and it was a "live person" guide who chatted about loads of interesting things which...More

Thank you for your review. Sorry to hear that the commentary didn't live up to your expectations, the recorded commentary gets updated regularly and is currently being written again for next season. Things change in the city constantly so as soon as the commentary is...More
