My partner Tony and I have just done this tour and it was the most amazing experience for the two of us. David our driver was very knowledgeable of all the areas we visited and went out of his way to ensure that we saw some historically outstanding places and spectacular scenery on our travels to and from Edinburgh, in the Highlands and during our stay on the Orkney's. We certainly packed in a lot during the five days, and Dave took us to many wonderful locations in his 'go anywhere bus'. We chose the bed and breakfast option and we found all the accommodation to be of a high standard and the hosts friendly and accommodating. We also were able to book an evening meal at each location but would strongly recommend that where possible you book ahead at the restaurant of your choice etc. A big thank you to David and we certainly would recommend this tour.

What an incredible tour! I was on the 10 day Orkney and Outer Hebrides tour so I was only with this group for 4 of the 5 days where I had a day in Ullapool to myself, but those 4 days were wonderful. We saw so many places even though many businesses and museums/churches, etc. were closed and hospitality restrictions meant no distillery tours or tastings, and limited options for food at restaurants, pubs and cafes.

None of these things stopped me from having a great time. Our guide Nick customised the tour to our preferences as a group (which were all similar) and I didn't feel anything was lacking. We were able to spend more time in places and able to take everything in, and Nick added some stops in that were suited to the group.

Orkney was stunning. Nick grew up in Orkney so he had so much knowledge to offer us which felt extra special. Lots of history and peaceful hills and landscapes, and cliffs with crashing ocean waves. I picked this 10 day Orkney & Outer Hebrides tour because I will be leaving Scotland soon and wanted to visit a few more places I had not yet been to in my time here, and I was able to tick off so many places, more than I expected, off a list of places I was hoping to see.

Covid safety measures were top notch - masks, sanitiser readily available, distancing on and off the bus as well as an order of how we hopped on an off the bus meant I felt as ease.

Admittedly, I thought Rabbies would be just another tour company where the tour would be standard, by the book, no time to slow down and enjoy each place you stop in, but I couldn't have been more wrong! Both Nick and my second guide Barney (for the 5 day Outer Hebrides and Skye tour I joined after the Orkney tour) were genuinely lovely, had a wealth of knowledge, were really down to earth and seemed to genuinely love their jobs, which made the tour even better. Both Nick and Barney were fantastic drivers and I felt very safe in their capable hands on the bus.

I feel really fortunate and want to thank Rabbie's and their guides for all their wonderful work to continue providing their tours for people like myself who would not be able to visit most of these locations on my own.

If you want to really experience the beauty and history of Scotland, go on a RABBIES tour. Any tour. You will feel it.
Whilst we were on visits to Scotland from Canada, we were lucky to go on several trips with Rabbies. We now live in Scotland, and eager to see and experience more, we still go with Rabbies.
Once the lockdown in raised and it is safe to do so, we will continue to travel with Rabbies.
The trips are thoughtful and well-planned. The driver/tour leaders are passionate about Scotland( they are also superb drivers and leaders). The drivers are very well informed about the places they take. The small buses are a great idea for the small villages.
Rabbies is a well rounded tour company.
All adult ages use Rabbies. We are seniors, and feel quite comfortable on these tours
Thank you RABBIES,

This tour was exceptional, and I was impressed at how much we managed to pack in in 5 days. We did a lot of driving but this was helpfully broken up with a variety of stops and activities, not to mention the breathtaking scenery along the way. I usually suffer from motion sickness on long journeys but I had no issues here whatsoever.

Our tour guide, Sean , was wonderful - a veritable raconteur- and had a phenomenal amount of knowledge interspersed with lots of amusing anecdotes which kept us entertained throughout the trip. I would also like to extend my thanks to Rabbies who stepped in straight away to secure accommodation for me after an unfortunate experience at one of the hotels I had independently booked (top tip - let Rabbies sort your accommodation rather than booking it yourself).

I would thoroughly recommend Rabbies (and Sean) and am planning on doing the 5 day Highland Explorer trip next. Thanks again for a a wonderful trip.

Our driver-guide Andrew was fantastic! He was helpful and knowledgeable about every bits of History and stories. He gave us many photo opportunities of splendid local sceneries which was all amazing. I regret I don’t have the artistic skills to show. One has to see for oneself to believe, I guess. Believe everyone writes in the reviews and you won’t be disappointed.
My sincere thanks to my tour mates who made the trip so much more fun.

This tour was absolutely wonderful! We saw so many beautiful, interesting and historical things (off the main tourist spots) with stress-free travel. The mini coaches were comfortable with large viewing windows. Our driver/guide, Iain, was the best--full of passion for Scotland and full of interesting stories and legends. We felt like family after the first day! Our Rabbies tour far exceeded our expectations. We love Scotland even more, after learning and seeing so much.

As part of an amazing 2 month holiday I went back to where my heart is - Scotland. I actually did 4 Rabbies' tours during this time and all were amazing. I first discovered Rabbie's in 2015 and I will no doubt use them again.

While I was in London (June 26 and 28) I did 2 day trips - Oxford & Traditional Cotswold Villages (led by Christo) and Bath, Avebury & Lacock Village (led by Pete). Both of these tours were beautiful, well organised and gave me a taste of the beautiful English countryside. A special mention to Pete who really went above and beyond as he had prepared packs for each tourist on the bus, including maps and suggestions for the day. Both of these tours are highly recommended.

In Edinburgh I did the one day Outlander Adventure (30 June) with the wonderful and gorgeous Nick as our guide. This was an amazing day topped off by perfect weather. Nick is amazing - he knows how to tell a story and had all of us hanging off his every word with his telling of the story of Mary Queen of Scots. We saw many Outlander sites, but for me the highlights were the stunning Culross and Linlithgow Palace. Linlithgow is the most stunning and historic place, but we were especially lucky because there was a jousting tournament in the grounds! Honestly - this tour is so much more than Outlander - and if you are lucky enough to get Nick, even better!! I actually ran into Nick at Ben Nevis the following day when I was on my next tour, and he remembered me and even shared some videos of the jousting with me. He's a champion.

And then... the most brilliant tour of the lot. The 5 Day Orkney Island tour. Words cannot really describe how amazing this tour was - I cried at the end of it because it was everything I hoped and more. Audrey was our guide and I just have to say she is the most genuinely brilliant person and she made this trip what it was. Audrey went above and beyond - her stories are beyond compare and she loves Scotland so much - she is the real deal and I hope she sees this review and knows how amazing she is.

We were lucky as the weather was stunning and we were blessed with a fantastic group of people. From the first day when we stopped at the Kelpies because I asked, to the last day when we toasted the trip with a little sip of Jura there were so many memories made. Audrey stopped at so many places off the itinerary, because she kept saying "you are only here once. What she doesn't know about Scotland isn't worth knowing. Orkney - with its magnificent and historical sites blew my mind and the Highlands are always magnificent. There are so many highlights and at no point did I feel rushed - we took our time and enjoyed it all. As I write this I wish I was back!

I was a solo traveller and as usual Rabbie's provide the perfect balance between structure and also not forcing people to stay together 24 hours a day. The small bus sizes are perfect and means we often got to places early and away from crowds.

Thank you so much for such an amazing experience. Scotland is in my heart and I can't wait to get back.
