Full-Day Trip to Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands
From US$68.17
Unless you rent a car for the day, getting to Loch Ness from Edinburgh is an arduous task. Escape the city, and travel to the Scottish Highlands with ease on this day trip, ideal for travelers with limited time. Avoid the hassle of navigating rural Scotland’s winding roads, and save your energy for the unspoiled scenery of Great Glen, Rannoch Moor, and Loch Ness. Plus you can also upgrade to include a cruise on Loch Ness.
What to Expect

Climb aboard a climate-controlled coach in central Edinburgh and begin your journey to the Scottish Highlands. Your guide provides a historical overview of the region as you pass Stirling Castle and Rannoch Moor. Stop at Glen Coe, the site of a legendary 17th-century massacre.

On arrival in Fort Augustus, located on the banks of Loch Ness, enjoy free time relaxing and indulging in a provided picnic lunch. Opt for a cruise on Loch Ness (own expense) for a panoramic view of the area.

On the return drive back to Edinburgh, pass Loch Laggan, the Pass of Drumochter, and Forth Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This tour concludes at your original departure point in central Edinburgh.

Great bus ride and tour guide. Plenty of time for food, pictures and bath room breaks.

Make reservations either on line or by the castle. We made our reservations by the castle. Finding the reservation office was a bit of a challenge, being on the second floor of a souvenir shop, but clearly marked on the second floor.

Disappointing and badly organised

May I first start by saying that I regularly go on tours so this is not unfamiliar territory for me. However, I found that the customer service and general organisation of the tour provided by this company to be utterly shambolic. We arrived at 7.45...More
