Culross was a real highlight! And the guide at Blackness Castle, with the face of Dougal and the body of Jamie (in his own words). He reenacted every scene with invisible knifes and swords while yelling all the lines in both men's and women's voices. I also appreciated all the non-Otlander related storys the very knowledgeable guide told us throughout the day. A perfect experience!

Getting to see all the real-life backdrops from my favorite television shows was amazing (GOT and Outlander). We had the very best weather - no rain and bright sunshine - a blessing in Scotland. Bailey is the BEST tour guide!! He was cheerful and bright. We all had the best time. Who knew we would get a private show with bagpipe music from our own tour guide. How special!! So glad I booked and went on this tour.

Our guides Connor and Ewan made this experience what it was, they were enthusiastic and greatly knowledgeable. We had a blast seeing all of the stops, learned some Scots, and sang along to some Scottish songs. Would recommend this to Outlander fans 100% - but some people on our tour hadn't seen it and they also enjoyed it - so even if you aren't a super fan this is well worth your time!

This day was filled with history, music, beautiful countryside and, of course, Outlander sites. The tour was well organized, perfectly paced and well with spending the day. Baillie and Tony were wonderful hosts for the day and it was a special treat to hear Baillie play the pipes at Hopetoun.

We spent a wonderful day with Allison and Euan yesterday exploring the country side. Both did an excellent job of sharing Scottish history. Allison’s bus driving was top notch. Got us to and from very safely. Euan brought his Bagpipes and we really enjoyed hearing him play at Blackness Castle and again in the small town that was “Inverness” in the series. We had a wonderful time seeing the palaces and castles from Outlander. We originally had thought we would not get to go in to Doune Castle, so that was a plus. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire day and Allison and Euan both made the day for us. We are just average Outlander fans and appreciated the history of the palaces and castles as well as the connection to the series. We would highly recommend the tour.

I had the most wonderful time on this tour, which I was so obligingly allowed to go on by the organisers when I'd accidentally booked a Loch Ness tour on the wrong day, and missed it. I knew almost nothing about the Outlander series (Googled the plot frantically on the bus lol) but by the end I couldn't wait to buy the books and watch the series.

Baillie was a fantastic tour-guide, who's ability to speak multiple languages and play the bagpipes, as well as his background in theatre, made every person on the tour feel welcomed and included, and fully immersed in the Outlander world. I enjoyed myself so much, and could not recommend Highland Explorer Tours highly enough.

Had an enjoyable day out visiting sites where Outlander was filmed. Unfortunately we are still with Covid about we were unable to access one of castles . We had Caitlin as our tour guide. Caitlin is so enthusiastic with her story telling and history of the Jacobites. The highlight of the day was Lallybroch. But had a good time walking around Falkland and the cottage craft shop. The owner showed us photos of the cast and the work that was done to the outside of his shop.

We had a full day trip to some Outlander film locations presented by our lovely driver Tim. Unfortunately most castles we visited were closed for renovations, but we had a good view of the outside. Tim was great, talked to us about a lot of places, local Scottish stories you'd only hear from a local.
