Greyfriars Kirkyard Tour in Edinburgh

    What to Expect
Our Greyfriars Kirkyard Projector Tour is a refinement of our summer ‘Resurrectionists Tour’. There we used A3 booklets to show you which characters were buried under some of the tombs and monuments; now we can take it a step further! Over the Winter months, our projector tour lets us shine an image of the person buried here directly on the ground in which they lie or, on a nearby tomb.

These special effects aren’t used as a gimmick. We use the projectors respectfully; Greyfriars is Church of Scotland ground and, importantly; these people are buried here!

It turned out that my husband's and my tour was the only one scheduled for a recent Thursday night. Robert did not cancel for lack of attendance. That was pretty impressive to me to begin with. He gave us a complete and detailed tour which was really fascinating. I've been

Thank you for being such great company on our Greyfriars Kirkyard tour! Thank you also for letting me go into some of the 'ruder' stories I had! It was a real pleasure to take you both around the Kirkyard. I hope you had a wonderful time in Edinburgh. Yours, Robert

Thank you for your kind and speedy review! I really appreciated your ability to immerse yourself in the tour, it's often harder to do that in a very small group, but you really let me 'do my thing' and I appreciate that. I was also very grateful for your kind tip. Thanks for showing such a level of trust in, and enthusiasm for, my small company! I hope you had a great time in Edinburgh. Yours, Robert

Have been visiting Edinburgh for a few days and have seen how massive in size some of the tour groups are. This tour was an ideal size, with an ability to interact and ask questions. Robert is a very funny guy with a real gift of imparting information in an entertaining manner

I really appreciate your very kind words, thank you for writing this, especially whilst you are on your valuable holiday time. A good group makes a tour even more enjoyable to lead and that’s all down the approach you all took, thank you for that as well. I hope you had a wonderful time in Scotland and have a safe return trip. Yours, Robert

Robert definitely knows to catch the attention of the audience. My teenage son that usually looses interest for anything historical quite quickly was following from start to finish with pleasure and was really looking to the next tour - he told us he though that barely 30 min

Thank you for your really nice review! He was a delight to be with and I was impressed that he was so engaged on a graveyard tour. I loved history at that age and if I’d acted as he did, my parents would have been very proud! I look forward to meeting you tonight! Thank you for your custom, it’s a real honour to have customers book onto not just one but two tours. Yours, Robert

We came with a 12 year old that get very easily bored and is more interested in computer than culture. I was really worried that he was going to be complaining after 5 minutes at best. What I had there is the same 12 year old staying focused, not seeing the time passing and even

Thank you so much for your very kind and very positive review. I know you wrote this whilst on holiday and that means a lot to me. Your son was a delight to tour with. He was enthusiastic, polite and clearly has an excellent grasp of English. Being a guide when you have an audience with your family in it was a real privilege. Thank you for your custom and your kindness.
