Overview
The Isle of Skye is the largest of Scotland’s Hebrides Islands and this multi-day tour from Edinburgh ensures you take in all the highlights. Admire natural wonders such as Loch Ness, Glen Coe, and Ben Nevis; visit Fairy Glen, Dunvegan Castle, and Kilt Rock on the Isle of Skye; and see Eilean Donan Castle, where Highlander was filmed.
What to Expect

Day One

The 3 day Skye tour starts at 9am from the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. Travel through to Glasgow to pick up the Glasgow passengers and begin a journey up to the beautiful Scottish Highlands. The first stop of the day is the small conservation village of Luss, situated on the 'bonnie bonnie banks' of Loch Lomond. Take time to enjoy the beautiful views across one of the largest lochs in Scotland, before continuing north.

Travelling North via Tyndrum, pass over atmospheric Rannoch Moor, before enjoying time in dramatic Glencoe; the site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan, and also features in the James Bond film, Skyfall. After lunch in a traditional Highland village, pause for photos at Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, and then stop to admire Glen Garry. From the right viewpoint, the loch looks like the shape of Scotland!

Afterwards, pass the stunning Five Sisters of Kintail mountain range and pass over the bridge to the Isle of Skye. The first day ends in the charming village; where your Driver-Guide will drop you at your accommodation.

Day Two

After breakfast, depart Portree for a full day exploring the beautiful Scottish island. Today's itinerary is flexible; you may enjoy a visit to the magical Fairy Glen, Dunvegan Castle* and Kilt Rock. You may perhaps prefer a walk at the scenic Lealt Falls, or learn of the history of iconic Scot, Flora Macdonald and the unique Black Houses. Discuss these options and more with your Driver-Guide on the day. After a full day touring the island, return to Portree for a nights rest.

Day Three

Commence the third and final day via the much admired and photographed Eilean Donan Castle*. The castle is the backdrop to many films, including 'Highlander'. Move on to the loch side village of Fort Augustus for lunch and views across Loch Ness; perhaps you will get a glimpse of the famous monster! Our journey south continues over Laggan and the Grampian Mountains, with last stop of the day in the Victorian town of Pitlochry. Then return to Edinburgh, crossing over the Firth of Forth, where you will see the iconic Forth Bridges. Your tour ends at approximately 7:30pm.
