Edinburgh Zoo Admission Ticket
Skip the line and save money by booking your admission to Edinburgh Zoo in advance. With the security of knowing that you have a confirmed entrance, you can simply relax and enjoy the zoo, the only one in the United Kingdom to have two giant pandas. As well as admiring the animals—which also include king penguins and Asian lions—you can take part in the zoo's program of educational events and activities, from ranger talks to hands-on animal encounters.
What to Expect

Edinburgh Zoo is one of Europe's leading centres of conservation, education and research. We work collectively with many other zoos and conservation agencies in the UK, Europe and around the world in co-ordinated conservation programmes, to help ensure the survival of many threatened animal species. We support various conservation projects in the wild through funding and expertise.

Our extensive education programme aims to raise awareness and understanding of the fragility of life on this planet, and our responsibility to help care for it.

We also support a range of targeted research projects which are designed to enhance our understanding of animals' behavioural and physiological needs, with many useful consequences for conservation in the wild.

The Zoo is also one of Scotland's most popular visitor attractions, with over 800,000 visitors a year.

Open every day of the year including Christmas Day, we have four stars from the VisitScotland quality assurance scheme, and we work hard to offer our visitors a truly great day out.

Very disappointing

I had been so looking forward to this visit as the last time I was here was as a child, many years ago. The first shock was the admission charge of £19.50 and my friend and I were then asked if we wished to give...More

What a rip off - complete waste of money

Expensive entrance fee and asked for an extra 10% towards conservation, thankfully we declined, as a lot of animals were conspicuously absent or unviewable due to path closures. No otters, hunting dogs, a solitary koala bear, no lemurs etc etc. We were very keen to...More

Grasslands restaurant RIP OFF

The zoo was fine as a day out. Bit of a depressing vibe to be honest. What has absolutely shocking though is their Grasslands restaurant. The adult portions are children’s portions (if you can even call it that). £9.95 for a cottage pie that probably...More
