About
Explore Glasgow's famous music scene with a two hour guided walk around the city's music mile. From the Royal Concert Hall to the famous King Tut’s, via Glasgow's Conservatoire, this is a whistle-stop guide around the city centre, an area teeming with music venues past and present. Glasgow has an unrivalled reputation for producing brilliant bands, making memorable music and putting on unforgettable shows. Walk with us and we will show you why. The guides are enthusiastic music fans, performers and writers who are immersed in Glasgow’s cultural life. A little over a mile in length, the Music Mile tour covers diverse genres and eras from dancehall and traditional jazz to punk, pop, and today's guitar heroes. It has plenty of detail for the dedicated music fans but, like all our tours, it is packed with great stories that will entertain the casual fan who wants a different way to see the city.

Enthusiastic, entertaining, a must for all music lovers and a way of bringing all the music that had originated in the city ...or just passed through it, to life.
Phil, our guide is a great and entertaining authority on everything that's ever happened in the city.

I cannot recommend this Glasgow City Music Tour highly enough. We were so lucky to get a one-on-one experience with Fiona who was engaging, funny, knowledgeable and passionate - we could have listened to her stories all day - especially all those about the 'ghost venues' she resurrected - fascinating!

As if that wasn't enough, Fiona had also booked us a table at Nice & Sleazy where we could enjoy more stories, ask questions and dive deeper - this was really special and so appreciated.

These tours are so important to preserving our city's wonderful musical heritage - I was full of pride for the many amazing legacies that have been left to Glasgow and I know there are many more to come as lockdown continues to lift.

This is the ideal COVID-safe experience, so don't hang about, show them some support and get your's booked ASAP!

Phil was a wonderful guide for our tour of Glasgow music venues past and present. The fascinating oral history was conveyed with energy and enthusiasm. Phil clearly knows his stuff and takes pleasure in sharing it with others. A great time was had by all.

Interesting tour, Fiona was very knowledgable and entertaining, also brought back many memories. Pity about COVID restrictions as we were not allowed to enter the venues. This did not retract from the quality of the tour and it was very enjoyable.

This tour is a must-see for anyone with an interest in music. Fiona is the best possible host - friendly, informative, entertaining. She tells a great yarn in her warm, conversational style. Highly recommended! (Particularly if you're missing live music as much as I am).

Truly a walk down memory lane where forgotten memories brought a smile to our faces! Despite the “doom and gloom from COVID” this was an excellent afternoon that also made you appreciate the sights and sounds of Glasgow!
A very informative tour that was full of surprising information which Fiona beautifully interspersed with lovely anecdotes passed on from people’s first hand experiences.
We have done both Glasgow tours and they are a must for music oficianados!!
So proud of our Glasgow heritage!

As a big fan of the Glasgow music scene I have wanted to take this tour for some time. I wasn’t disappointed as the guide explained how things moved from the Empire to the Odeon to the Apollo and up to the more recent venues. Despite King Tuts still being closed it was good to get access to the venue at Nice N Sleazy’s. The guide was also mindful of the weather and found us shelter wherever possible. I also enjoyed sharing memories with guide throughout the tour.

Very entertaining tour!
Fiona has been an excellent guide and even if you don’t know all the groups and singers and artists she mentions you will still love the tour.
It also gives you an idea of how the gigs in Glasgow used to be and you can have excellent tips for how to enjoy your stay in Glasgow.
