This was the best cost to fun ratio excursion for a solo traveler, and an efficient way to see some of the coolest attractions in the area. Our guide, who's name escapes me, was an absolute delight. A wisened Irishman, he detailed intimate knowledge of every location with excellent storytelling and good humor.

The cave is enjoyable, and a fun detour, yet not too significant if you've been cave dwelling many times before.

While the Cliffs are the main attraction, it is packed with tourists, so it's hard to enjoy them for their beauty with all the incredible noise pollution. Oh well, there's still plenty of cows to gawk at that everyone seems to be ignoring. I recommend climbing the tower steps for a unique view of the Cliffs through the battlements.

The Burrens were my personal favorite. Like walking on the lunar surface, the rocky gray lands are full of an alien-like beauty. Highly underrated.

Such a great tour! Our tour guide John was brilliant, I learned a lot during the course of the tour. John was able to answer all of our questions and shared many interesting facts about the landscape, landmarks, history, and so much more. The weather was off and on, a mix of rain and shine. John told us not to fret, the weather can change at the drop or a hat and sure enough, it was lovely clear weather with the sun shining when we reached the cliffs. We had a pretty small group and because we were on time and on schedule for every stop, we even got to make a few bonus stops that weren’t on the itinerary. On top of that we saw wild goats in the hills, rabbits, many farm animals, beautiful waves crashing along the coast, rainbows, and a dozen castles.

Absolutely amazing! John was the best! Thanks again for the great experience.

I have a bunch more photos but don’t want to give it all away!! Must see for yourself!

Loved this day. It was very full with all the driving and 3 major stops (Caves, cliffs and castles) but totally worth it. We had John as the tour guide and he was phenomenal. His knowledge and stories of Ireland were incredible and very entertaining. The only downside was the weather was very hit or miss and the group was very large (40 or so). I would recommend paying a bit more if it means a smaller group and therefore more intimate experience. John kept us very on time and had good recommendations for lunch restaurants and fun facts of all the places/towns we passed

This trip with Lally Tours had very good reviews especially with driver John B and it did not disappoint! The stops were perfectly timed so you did not feel trapped on the bus. Each stop was worthwhile and the discounted rate for the cave and service for lunch where proof of the great relationship between Lally Tours and the stops. But aside from the Cliffs of Moher and the spectacular views it provided perhaps the best part of the tour was the narration and guide provided by John B. His knowledge of the route, interesting facts, and fascinating driving were topnotch! Why he isn't the minister of tourism for whole island of Ireland i don't know! You could hear the pride in the way he described each site, the respect he has for the country's past, and his true love of his country's culture and history. Brilliant! Great trip and i highly recommend!

My husband and I were in Galway for three days on holiday. We didn't have a car but didn't want to miss seeing the beautiful countryside. The day before we had gone on a Lally tour to the Connemara region and Kylemore Abbey and had a good experience so we decided to do another tour to the Cliffs of Moher on 4/30. We met the bus at 9am the Hyde Hotel which was just down the street from our hotel in Eyre Square. The bus left on time and driver, John B., was excellent! He was friendly, funny and shared lots of knowledge along the way. He was also great about keeping to the schedule. The first stop was for quick pics at Dunguaire Castle and then onto Aillwee cave. We opted into the tour which I would recommend. It was a small extra charge and you could opt in or out easily. We had a great guide, Liz. We left there around 11:45 and got to the Cliffs of Moher around 12:30. We already had tickets so didn't have to wait in any lines. It was nice to be there in the off season as the paths weren't too crowded. That said, we chose not to wait to go to the top of the little observation tower as the line was moving very slowly. The Cliffs are spectacular! I'm so glad we didn't miss them. We left at 2pm and stopped in Doolin for lunch at Fitz's Pub. We had pre-ordered food (again, optional) so in theory the lunch would be ready quickly. It took a little longer to get food than I think was expected so we couldn't linger too long but the food and beer were delicious (we got seafood chowder, brown bread and Dooliner Red Ale but there were plenty of other choices). We then drove through the Burren along the Wild Atlantic Way with a few stops along the shore for photos. We returned to Galway around 5pm which was slightly ahead of schedule since there wasn't much traffic. As with our other tour, the pace was slightly faster than I would have liked but it was definitely better than not seeing the area at all. It was also nice to let someone else do the driving and navigating.

I would definitely recommend this tour as a chance to see several sites of Natural beauty. You also get the chance to see history on the landscape that would probably not be available to see any other way except by car from destination to destination.

While Ailwee caves are not included in the tour, the cost to go in is really reasonable and can be decided when you arrive. The restaurant at Doolin serves some really nice food and brews their own beer.

This tour was a really good experience. John our guide and driver was a great host. He was really passionate about Irelands history and gave us information on the sights we passed.

I had never been to Aillwee Cave. We had discounted tickets as part of the tour and had time to explore the cave with an informative guide. It was much bigger than I expected and easy enough to navigate safely. The story of how it was accidentally discovered by a farmer looking for his lost sheepdog is amazing- especially that he told no one about it for over 30 years. Also amazing was the Cliffs of Moher. I had been there in 1975 when there was nothing but the cliffs - and feared that development and tickets and shops etc might be tacky - I was pleasantly surprised at how tastefully it has been turned into a geopark. The shop, cafe, and especially an experiential tour in the building are well worth takig some time to explore, with lots of information and videos. you can even take a picture of yourself on the cliffs in front of a greenscreen and email it to a friend. Happily, they now have carts to bring people who need them up and down the hill to the top. The friendly woman who drove my cart is off to Everest Base Camp next spring. I found the staff of Lally's very helpful. My first choice tour had been cancelled, and they readily changed me to this one. I will come back for the other one next time!

A highly enjoyable day seeing the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, going into the Aillwee Cave, lunch in Doolin, and stopping at Dunguaire Castle. What really enhanced the Lally Tour experience was our driver, Gerry. He provided excellent insight and background to all that we saw while on this tour. Witty and concise in his comments, he totally enhanced what was an incredible day on the West Coast of Ireland. We certainly appreciated his driving skills! Based on this tour, I would definitely recommend Lally Tours and hopefully I will get another opportunity to use them in the future.

John was an excellent tour guide. He gave cohesive and interesting explanations of everything we saw while also safely driving a huge bus through narrow streets- it was very impressive! The tour flowed naturally and when he wasn’t talking we got to listen to some traditional Irish music. Not a minute was wasted on this tour. Lunch was a bit late because that was what worked best for the schedule but Fitzpatrick’s Bar was delicious. Our honeymoon was 2 weeks long so we went on a lot of tours, but John was easily our favorite tour guide. We highly recommend booking a tour with him and Lally Tours!

Our tour with John K was fantastic! We had a little bit of a hiccup with some unruly passengers but he handled it very patiently and made sure we still all had a good experience. He was extremely engaging and entertaining for the entirety of the trip. We had plenty of time at all of the stops to enjoy and take pictures. The lunch stop at Fitz was delicious, the fish stew was loaded with seafood and the wait staff was attentive but efficient. I highly recommend this tour for anyone coming to Galway, especially those not comfortable driving on the wrong side on some very winding roads.
