My partner attended at the IFLY in Manchester and we throughly enjoyed it! Managed to get a Black Friday deal. I highly recommend that you go however it is a little pricy considering you're only flying for maybe 2 minutes max. Although once we were finished they did provide us with loads of great discounts!
We worked with Matt today and he was so nice! Everything is well organised and in order. Always felt at ease.
We prepaid for the “High fly” however its the same price when you're there and they offer you to do it whilst you’re doing your flights. Also extra flights whilst you're in there are £14. So if you wish to try longer then you can time considering.
All in all i will absolutely be re attending whenever i can. Loved it!

This was a present from my husband. I was quite anxious about it, as I'm nearly 70 years old.
The instructors were very patient and very informative about exactly what I had to do. When you book the session, you have to watch a video about the various hand signals that you need to use, which are very simple, and also the position of your body that you need to be in, when 'flying'. It was a weird feeling at first, but I soon relaxed and enjoyed it. Well worth the money and the instructors were very entertaining, and at the end of the session, 2 of them showed us how they 'fly'. Thank you for a lovely time.

I purchased this for my partner as he really wants to jump out of a plane and do a real skydive (crazy I know!).
Check in was easy and pleasant and we were sent to the waiting area where the instructor would meet us at some point. The waiting area is tatty and in need of a bit of a refurb, there are no facilities for spectators to get a drink or anything (a vending machine would help). My partner was called through for the briefing and I eagerly waited. The group emerged 20 minutes later, the instructor bringing each one individually into the flight tunnel for 2 x 50 seconds!! each. In his group there were about 3 people who clearly were doing training to join as an instructor and they took up most of the half hour allocated to the groups flight time. I paid extra so that my partner can fly with an instructor and I'm glad I did, although it was only about 50 seconds at least it was thrilling for him.
With waiting time/briefing/waiting to fly the whole experience takes 90 minutes and you are rewarded with less than 2 minutes fly time.
Although my partner enjoyed it, I really do feel it's very poor value for money and would expect to see the participants get at least 5 minutes total flight time. If they had 5 in each group they would still make £250 each 30 minute session.

Hi Kevin, thank you for your review, we really appreciate you taking the time to write.
The briefing can seem time consuming, but we can assure you it's for our flyers' benefit as health & safety is our top priority. Other flyers likely had added on extra time, which is always an option.
We offer a completely unique experience that perfectly replicates the sensation of free-fall, without having to do a real skydive. iFLY is an incredibly unique venue; a multimillion pound facility with highly trained instructors, so it does have its overheads, unfortunately. However, if you are keen to save money, we do always have great offers on: https://bit.ly/3AWxhTT
We will take your comments about facilities for guests onboard. Thank you again, team iFLY

Good Points:
Very good Instruction
Friendly staff
Good kit
Facilities appear clean and functional
Bad points:
Sausage factory setting
Less than 5 mins of collective flight time set over 2 flights.
You have to pay a further £10 for a high fly, or £14 for an extra flight of a minute.
Summary:
A very good experience, which is sadly let down by the very small amount of actual flight time. You get a good briefing prior to the flight and the kit is in good order. You're loaded into a chamber whilst waiting your turn and then you have your small flight time. On my second go, I wanted to try the high flight which cost me an extra £10. I tried to sort it for my daughter too, but I think they missed it, as she didn't get to do it, so I ended up forking it a further £14 for her to have an extra minute of flight.
We travelled over 120 miles to get here, so imagine our disappointment when it was all over in less than 30 mins and we had to drive all the way back home. Sad but true. There is a bit of a hard sell whilst there for more flights at discounted rates, but you'll have to decide for yourselves if it's worth it, for us it just feels like you pay to much, for too little.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us this review, we're glad you found the instruction to be good and our team to be friendly, but we are sorry to hear how you feel about the rest. We try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to the flight times, but the whole experience should last for around an hour. In terms of flight time, as you say, typically each flight lasts for approximately 50-60 seconds which, when compared to a real tandem skydive is actually 10-20 seconds longer free fall, so it's longer flight time for a fraction of the cost, equating to excellent value for money.
We can only apologise if we missed the high flight for your daughter, that really is a shame. We do need to add a surcharge for the high flight as our team require extensive additional training, as well as the tunnel requiring stronger wind speeds, so we need to cover these overheads, as not every flyer wants this optional extra, so we aren't able to include it as standard. After the flight, we are able to offer exclusive discounts for further flight time, we want to ensure that those wishing to return can do so at the best prices before they leave, so we are sorry if this came across as a hard sell, we definitely appreciate the feedback and will look to review how we go about this in future.
We have tunnels in Milton Keynes, Basingstoke and one soon opening in London, so if any of these are closer to where you are based, perhaps you will be able to give those a try next time? We do hope to see you at an iFLY again soon.

I can understand some elements of the more negative reviews, The in need of refurb and lack of facilities , lack of a actual shop to buy merchandise and cafe area perhaps. The staff dynamics from reception to instructors I was aware of but overall , where else would I be able to access an activity like this so close to home at what was a reasonable price when comparing to other activities along these lines yet not a direct comparison because it is a unique experience. I understand the lack of compassion for anyone whom may be uncertain or nervous yet the flip side of this is that you just have to get on with it and leave your concerns at the door, what also comes into play here is how you become a customer , do you have a genuine interest in flying , are you already a skydiver or just looking for a fun activity or day out , depending on which your expectations may differ but at the end of the day you are there to have a sky diving experience and it delivers. We were lucky enough to experience Craig whom was an instructor in training and this was only his second group he took care of, I felt the pressure he was under yet he was so personable and once allowed a bit more freedom I’m sure he will be an excellent credit to the company. Currently under Enrico whom seems to be extremely no nonsense and strict I’m sure he will help Craig become a top notch instructor. I’d say the only downside is feeling like we as beginners are just there as a bit of an inconvenience to the pro flyers that jump in between turns. Then I was expecting an instructor to take me up for the high flight as he had with others on my group , yet it was one of a more experienced yet still not an instructor that did mine so you kind of feel like a training aid for these people than a paying customer. I think where people feel offended is the lack of communication due to the setting , you can’t talk in the tunnel , you have to rely on hand signals so the usual over explaining of every detail that we have come to expect from a customer service point of view just isn’t possible. However my just turned 6 yr old got the hang of the signals and even volunteered to go first in an all adult group of strangers so if she can do it then so can anyone. I didn’t ever feel unsafe at all so overall the instructors know what they are doing and take care of you well. Even with all of the above we left happy to rebook to come back to this once in a lifetime experience or maybe it isn’t as we’ve already booked to come back and grabbed some t shirts and accessories on the way out. Craig made my daughter very comfortable and included , often in these type of situations a child , especially young can be left out or disregarded but she was an equal participant within the group. We booked last minute on a whim really , no previous interest in skydiving just wanted a fun activity and that’s exactly what we got , sometimes not knowing everything about it before hand and just jumping in , literally! Can be a good thing and a great half day out , thanks to all for a fun day , we have shared it all on our social media and I’m even leaving a review here which I rarely do !

Hi Vicky, thank you for taking the time to write this review- we really appreciate it and we will take your feedback on board 🙂
We are grateful for all of our flyers, whether they are amateurs or pros and you will never be an inconvenience to us! The High Flight is an optional extra and the instructors will only do this for you if you agree to do so.
We look forward to seeing you all when you return! Thanks again, team iFLY

Took my 8 year old for her birthday along with 5 other girls, although we turned up mega early there was a cafe on site and they could watch the others in the wind tunnel. The instructors were brilliant with the kids and helped to re assure them when they had reservations about it. My little one was a little scared in the first go, but was re assured and did the full flight to the top along with others in her group. A couple of the girls didn't want another go, so they took the birthday girl on another 2 times which was great of them. My only gripe is that the fight to the top was an extra £10, when there are 6 of them, thats a lot to pay and was really something that could have been done in the price.

Thank you for the great review, we're so glad to hear your whole party had a good time, it's definitely an ideal birthday party idea for sure. With regards to the high flight, we do charge extra for this as it is an optional add-on that not all our flyers take us up on. The instructors need to undergo extensive additional training for this and increased wind power so we are unable to offer this as standard on all flights, hopefully that explains it a bit and doesn't deter you from returning? There are some excellent packages with high flights included, so it's definitely work a look at the return flyer section on our website.

Ellie was a fantastic instructor who explained everything perfectly and with fun. I was a bit nervous before flying as it was my first time, I needn't have been worried as Ellie made me feel like I could fly to the moon.
There was 8 of us altogether my partner and myself (63 & 64) with our daughter son in law and 4 grandchildren.
One of our grandchildren got very upset as the time grew nearer for her to jump, Ellie allayed all her fears, by the second jump she was thoroughly enjoying it.
Is it value for money, it's not something we could afford every week unless there were greatly reduced prices but as a one off Christmas present it was worth it. Overall a fantastic experience we all really enjoyed it.

Aug 2022 • Friends
I recently visited IFLY on the 19th of August as a birthday occurrence, it is fair to say I am deeply disappointed and unsatisfied with the service and ‘experience’ that we received. Firstly, we feel like we were falsely advertised and mislead with the duration of the flight. We payed £132 pounds in which we were expecting a longer flight time than 120 second, this was not made clear on the website or on the booking confirmation. It is absolutely disgusting that we have payed £132 for 2x60 second experiences- in which was cut short by 10 seconds a couple of times- and an extra £10 each was charged to go up to the top of the tunnel, which to me seems like the whole point of the ‘experience’ portrayed on the website. We have worked tremendously hard to save up for this experience for our friends birthday, in this instance paying £152 is appalling.
On top of this, we arrived perfectly on time 45minutes before our flight time at 7.30pm, yet, we did not proceed with our flight until 8.05pm, further ruining our later plans in Manchester in which we had to cancel. To worsen this, during and after our experience we were accompanied by others resulting in us feeling like a second priority as they had many more and longer flights. Yes we expect there to be more people, however, our flights between friends were constantly interrupted aswell as after waiting a further 15 minutes for them to finish. We felt this is unnecessary and should be done at separate times in different time slots as it did not feel like the great encounter that was advertised, we were just there to fit around others at a high cost.
Overall, this incident was inadequate, unsatisfactory and as a whole unpleasant.

Hi Danielle, thank you so much for taking the time to write this review, we're sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience.
We don't tend to measure the experience of flight in terms of time, however, the 120 seconds split into two 60 second flights actually equates to around 10-20 seconds than the real tandem skydive equivalent, so you can see that it's well worth the cost in comparison. The length of the flights are clearly communicated on the website before booking and again emphasised before the flight commences so we're sorry if you missed this beforehand. The high flight that you mention is an optional extra that we do need to charge extra for due to the increased wind speeds and associated costs, as well as the extensive additional training that our team have to undergo in order to conduct this safely. There are, however, some excellent offers and packages available for much less than £152 so we can only apologise if you weren't able to utilise these on this occasion.
With regards to the arrival time, we like to allow plenty of time for the safety briefing and gearing up before the flight but can only offer our apologies if on this occasion, the overall experience was running much later than anticipated. This is certainly not the prompt timekeeping standards that we hold ourselves to. Unless part of a large group booking or exclusive session, it is standard to share your session with others in the tunnel due to operational necessity, but each person's flight is personal to them, so we do need to operate with some flexibility here. For example, if two people in the same party wanted different experiences or lengths of flight, we would not split them into different sessions.
We are once again sorry that you did not enjoy your experience and welcome to get in touch with us if you would like to discuss this further: support@iflyworld.co.uk

Booked a voucher through buy a gift when there was a deal on and it worked out the cheapest method ; £25 for the kick start package. This was good value as an extra flight wad £14 once at iFly.
IFly is located 5 minutes from the trafford centre and has parking.
On arrival we signed a form and went upstairs to wash other flyers. We were not weighed or asked our weight any any time. 1 hour before our flight our group of 6 (my partner and I and other people sky diving at our time slot) watched a safety video and were given ear plugs, suits, helmets and goggles. I wear glasses and was given larger goggles to go over my glasses. Make sure you wear lace up shoes and take a hair brush, my hair looked a mess afterwards and took me 5 minutes to brush all the nots out. There are lockers free of charge to store your things. Cameras are not allowed, even go pros with a suction cup were not permitted.
Sky diving was fun and it was easy to breath in the chamber. For those who are less sporty like myself you may experience achey arms afterwards from holding them in position against the wind. The high fly experience was £8 and can only be done on the day after the instructor has seen you fly and if the instructor has a license. I would recommend this but it does make you feel a little sick when you have to turn to come down but this feeling only lasts a few seconds.
Overall, would recommend and hope to go back if there is a deal.
Must say though that this facility doesn't look as modern as the ones in America on youtube and could do with a refurb.
