From the comfortable and luxurious riding accommodations to the interesting and engaging dialogue…we enjoyed Paris, Normandy, and Versailles. These days were all we’d hope for our family trip. First we did a day at Versailles and the gardens. Frederic’s knowledge and experience helped us to fully appreciate all we were seeing. It was like a delightful history lesson each step of the way. Next, we did a half day tour of Paris, learning about its history and culture. Then to the Louvre. We happened to go to the Louvre on a day when worker strikes may have prevented us from being able to enter, but thanks to Frederic’s knowledge and experience, he knew just how to make sure we made it in. So much to see and so little time, but Frederic’s guided tour helped us to not only see all we wanted to see and more, but he provided enriching history and details of each piece along the way. He also took the time to ask questions a find out more about what was important for our children to see and enjoy and answered all of tier questions. On our third tour, we ventured out to Normandy for the day. It was one of the biggest highlights of the trip for my history-loving family. Philippe brought the sights to life for us as we walked the coast of Omaha beach and Pointe Du Hoc…hearing stories we can’t get from history books. He picked the best cafe for lunch (maybe our favorite meal of all 10 days) and finally ending at the American WWII cemetery where we watched in reverence as the flags were taken down for the night. Philippe designed the perfect day for our family and really help bring history to life for our children. The final tour was in the Loire Valley to see castles. Chenonceau and Chambord were breathtaking. Frederic’s knowledge and experience of the area made it a perfect day full of beautiful sites and he helped us see, enjoy and understand the history and culture of those areas. I can’t express fully how much of a blessing it was to have Philippe and Frederic take care of the details, tickets, parking, etc,…even planning the perfect places for lunch and treats along the way for all 4 of our tours with them. For excellent service and experienced, knowledgeable guides, you can’t find better than Best of France! 10/10!

We took a wonderful day tour with Frederic and loved it! He is very knowledgable about the city of Paris, the masterpieces at the Louvre, and good city eats. We visited the Louvre during the busiest section of the year and he masterfully led us to the highlights of the museum while also taking into account the exhibits (atypical highlights) that we wanted to see. Additionally, he was very adaptive, modifying the driving section of the tour on the fly to both show us the sights of the city while accommodating for personal stops such as Jacques Genin (exquisite caramel & chocolate shop). The tour was engaging and witty, 10/10 would recommend!

During the first two weeks of December my family booked four tours with Best of France Tours. We were in the Loire Valley, at Versailles, in Normandy, and, of course, in Paris! Our guides in all four cases were extremely knowledgeable, and they provided information and insights that we never knew before. They also provided us with experiences that tourists to these sights don't normally get. All of the tours were flexible to some extent, and our guides provided personal touches that catered to our family's desires and interests. The transportation they provided was comfortable, and they also made plans for our lunch each day, which gave us an opportunity to have unique dining experiences in several areas of France. Praises for Best of France Tours should be shouted from the rooftops of Paris and from the Eiffel Tower! Earlier this month my wife and I took our son and his family to France as a special Christmas present. Through Best of France Tours we visited Normandy, the D-Day beaches, and the American Cemetery and Memorial at Colleville-sur-Mer. We also visited Versailles and three of the châteaux in the Loire valley. Another day we had a tour of Paris and a private tour of the masterpieces of the Louvre. We did four full-day tours in all. All of these special interests and special requests from my family could have been very hectic. However, Frederic and Philippe guided us through the planning and the execution of these tours flawlessly. Everything came off without a hitch. Best of France Tours is very special to my family. They truly have the client at heart. It felt as though we had known Frederic and Philippe for a long time. They are thoroughly knowledgeable about all of these places that we visited. We came away with a deeper appreciation for and a deeper acquaintance with these aspects of France which our family particularly wanted to explore. These tours truly were personally sculpted and conducted with my family's desires at heart. We took a 3 day Mount St. Michel / Normandy tour with Philippe. There were 4 people ranging in age from 17 to 80, all of us having different interests. Philippe spectacularly ensured we all enjoyed the various Normandy venues and provided a thorough history of the entire region. He was consistently respectful of our time and made sure we were comfortable all times. If you are looking for a truly memorable experience, I would highly recommend Philippe.

This tour was amazing and Philippe was the most amazing guide! He showed us things in Normandy we would have never seen on our own and was very knowledgeable and passionate about the topic. This was a first class tour and will definitely work with him again next time we are in Paris!!

Frederick was an absolutely fantastic guide and driver. Our twelve-hour tour was filled with so much information and wonderful views that it was impossible not to have fun. I highly recommend the Best of France company for any trips in France.

Frederic was our tour guide for the half day tour of Versailles. Frederic contacted us prior to pick up to arrange an early departure so we could spend plenty of time touring the gardens. His van was immaculate and very comfortable. Frederic maneuvered through the crazy Paris traffic without issue and was a great conversationalist while doing so! Our tour of the gardens and grounds was so interesting. We got to see places that most people would not see and this enabled us to visualize life as it had been in Versailles during Louis IV's time. Frederic provided us with ear pieces so we could hear him in the crowded rooms. This was very helpful due to the noise created by the large groups. Our tour with Frederic was very thorough and filled with lots of information, He guided us around Versailles' large tour groups so we could see all of the important aspects of this palace. We were so pleased to not be in one of those large groups in which it was difficult to hear and see! We highly recommend booking a tour with Frederic. He was very professional and knowledgeable and gave us much insight into life in Paris in the past and currently.

This tour is awesome! Our tour guide, Frederic, arrived a few minutes early (during Olympic traffic) and made sure we were comfortable. He has great recommendations if you want to just cruise Paris or will take you where you want to go if you have a list of places to see. Plenty of stops for food or bathroom breaks. You will cover much more of Paris with this tour than trying to see Paris on your own. Frederic was very knowledgeable about Paris/France in general as well as specific works at the Louvre. Very friendly and professional. I could not recommend this tour enough.

We had outstanding service from Best of France Tours. I booked via email with Philipe, and he was always quick with responses and wonderful with adapting to our schedule (had to make a date change once.) We booked two full day tours: Chateau Fontainebleau with Chateau de Vaux le Vicomte, and Versailles Palace & Gardens. Our guide was Frederic. During the drive, he gave us some history of the regions and answered any questions we had regarding the areas we were going to as well as other questions about Paris and France in general. His knowledge base is impressive. He was very professional (and friendly) and made sure to ask us about our interests and what we hoped to see - and gave us options to meet our needs. We truly enjoyed our tours, and we believe that Frederic was a huge part of it. A couple of days later, we did a full day private tour of Paris that I had booked early on with a different company. While that guide was okay...he was no Frederic. I won't spend time a lot of time here bashing the other company but let me just say that the quality of the booking process, the guide, and the tour itself was inferior all-around. So, my advice is to book with Best of France Tours - you won't regret it! Thank you, Philippe and Frederic, and we wish you continued success. We will be back!

My family booked two all day excursions (Giverny/Versailles and Normandy) through Best of France Tours, and I cannot recommend them enough. From the early planning stages through the travel days themselves, communication was consistent and clear. Vans were new and clean—complete with water bottles and even chargers for our phones! Guides were punctual and gracious, and by the time we enjoyed lunch together—it was as if we were traveling France with our extended family. As for the tours themselves, Philippe and Pierre Yves brought decades of experience, unique local insights and broad historical knowledge—all while going the extra distance to ensure we had the best experience possible. For example, when my daughter asked last-minute to see the Hamlets at Versailles, Pierre Yves squeezed it in. When my wife wished to see the Bayeaux Tapestry on our way to Normandy, Philippe found a way. Both also made sure my father, managing mobility issues, was included and accommodated. We hope to return to France again, and when we do, will reach out first to Best of France Tours, a small business that operates with class, integrity and kindness.

We had a wonderful day touring with our guide Frederic to Chateu d’Auvers for the Van Gogh Exhibit and then to Giverny to see Monet’s house & gardens. Frederic was very knowledgeable and engaging with the kids. We went through Auvers-sur-Oise, the painters' village and saw Van Gogh's The Final Journeys exhibition. This was exhilarating to see Van Gogh and his paintings, learning about his life in d'Auvers - painting 80 works in his last 70 days of life. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and walking the wheat fields despite the sudden thunderstorm. It was a cool respite from the hot weather. Monet's lily pond and gardens were absolutely lovely after the rain. Flowers were in full bloom with so many amazing colors. You could see the inspiration of the artist from all the flora.

Quick but wonderful 1 day tour of Normandy. Our guide Philippe Brimont was not only knowledgeable and helpful, but enthusiastic. Plus, he found us a great place for lunch! Strongly recommend. Go for 2 days if you can.
