Admire the distinctive limestone rock formations – called the ‘fjords of the French Riviera’ – that wrap around pools of crystal-clear water to make dramatic inlets. Stop at La Plage de la Maronaise (Maronnaise Beach) for an invigorating swim, before heading on to the stunning Calanque de Callelonque (Callelongue Cove). Here, watch small boats drift in and out of the cove and locals lounge on the beach. To end, you’ll return to Marseille to explore some of city highlights including green spaces like Parc Borély or Campagne Pastré – two lovely public parks – and the magnificent Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde, a Neo-Byzantine Catholic church perched atop Marseille’s highest peak. Enjoy panoramic views of the Marseille’s labyrinthine streets below, the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and the bustling Old Port. Follow your guide back down the hill to the starting point, where your tour ends by late-afternoon.

Beautiful area with much to see!
Feb 2020
I've thought about this review for a long time since our tour was back in February. Having been on multiple tours of this nature I feel comfortable giving a review of my experience. The tour itself was nothing special and actually a bit discombobulated. In the beginning, there was a lot of confusion and uncertainty as to what was going to happen due to two different tours taking place at the same time. After that was straightened out and we got underway. The tour guide was able and provided an adequate effort in providing information while also keeping us engaged. I did however feel he could have been more engaging and informative.

On a separate note, we had a misunderstanding that resulted in us having to take a taxi to the meeting place that cost us 20 euros from the cruise ship. After getting there we spoke with the owner Helene who assured us that they would reimburse us that cost due to the mix-up. Long story short, that didn't happen and we only received a partial refund.

Hi, thanks for your review. Our driver was on time and on the right place to pick you up from cruise terminal but you made the mistake to take a taxi and go directly in the city center meeting point. When you talked to Helen, she told you would get a refund that we kindly did. We refunded you the amount you payed for the both pick up and drop off (€14), and we explain you we could not pay the taxi bill (€20) because i was not our mistake. At the end, we also kindly drop you back to the ship for free. We exchanged so many emails and you never admit your responsability and now still complain 8 month after for €6.

Tour for experienced bikers that gives great (over)view!
The meeting point is in the Vieux Port. We were a family of four (48-46-18-16) and there was another couple. We had a very nice guide, Cindy. From the meeting point it is 2 minutes walking to the bikes. Notes before the start: bring plenty of water (or drinks!). You don’t get any (which I find strange given the price) but the bikes have sacks to pack your stuff. Also bring towel and swimsuit. Regarding the bikes: we have had better e-bikes but they were ok (8/10). The saddles are comfortable for the 42,7km ride. Then the tour: few stops (which is good) for explanation but too many stops because of traffic. I consider us very experienced bikers but the traffic in Marseille is crazy! There were a couple of times I felt unsafe. Most of the tour is not on biking lanes so you meed to be experienced to manage it through the traffic. Also you need a very good condition and powerful legs (even helped by the e-bike!) to make a to the top to the Basilique. But it is worth it! Then going downwards, out of the city is easier and you ride beautifully along the beach. You get a 1 hour stop to eat your lunch (delicious sandwich that you buy during the trip) and swim in the beach (no toilets, no dressing rooms so be prepared for that). The largest part of the tour is nice but some parts in the city centre we did not like (mainly because of the crazy traffic) and that makes me rate it 4 instead of 5.

Let it roll
I had a fun day on the electric bike tour. We got to ride along the beautiful coastline on very comfortable electric bikes. Our guides were very pleasant and competent and brought just the right amount of passion for Marseille with them. Only issue was not the fault oif the team but of the restaurant who were painfully slow and inattentive.

I would recommend this tour for anyone wanting a bit of exercise and a thuroughly enjoyable day.

TO THE END OF THE WORLD AND DESTRESSED
Oct 2019
We booked this trip and Valentino was our very attentive full guide. he immediately brought us into the southern atmosphere, no stress and enjoy. We were in Marseille for the third time now and saw things we probably never saw before, with time to visit, enjoy and no hurry. The stop at noon at Paul was very southern with an honest and tasty cuisine in the middle of the boats and the calanques.
The bike ride was very varied nature, beach, water and culture. Just a beautiful day. Thanks to VALENTINO.

Great fun
Sep 2019 • Friends
Cindy our tour guide was friendly, helpful, funny, and inspired us all to ride like locals - fast, millimetres away from cars, what colour was that light? What light?

The bikes are easy to ride, with a surprisingly powerful motor so you barely have to pedal, just about adequate brakes, a massive sprung saddle which can't be raised high enough for my 32" inside leg, and despite having no suspension they roll over potholes with no fuss.

The tour took us around 20 miles, but it didn't feel like it. We saw the sights, had a chance for a swim, had a laugh, nearly got squashed by a fire truck... It was great fun, something I'll remember for a long time, and ebike tours will now be at the top of my list wherever I go next.
