Interesting visit
Hannah was a great tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and explained everything really well. This memorial is definitely worth a visit and can be accessed by getting a train from Berlin which is about 40 minutes away.

5 Stars! Great tour
This was a great tour. Our guide was Ernestina and she did an amazing job. It was clear that she is very passionate about this topic and presented the information in a very factual and up front manner. She made it clear that she really wanted questions and every question asked just got all of us in the tour even more information. While she most likely had a general outline or agenda she quickly adapted based on questions and the interest of the group. Too notch, highly recommended for anyone!

Unforgettable tour
What an impactful tour, definitely also thanks to our guide Ernestina. She transmitted the dept of the topic, but still in a respectful and energetic storytelling way. She was so knowledgeable and really brought to life what has happened in the concentration camp not too many decades ago. Great tour and definitely not an “activity” to miss during your stay in Berlin.

Excellent must-do experience with knowledgeable guide
Oct 2020 • Family
This was a moving and informative tour. Our tour guide, Ernestina, really brought the whole experience to life for us. It was clear that her interest in the history of the site was over and above what was required for her job and that she had a genuine interest in understanding the human condition, remembering what had occurred here and what can be learned from it. We really enjoyed the day.

A tip - it is an exposed, flat windy site so make sure you wrap up warm. Also there is only one small cafe so you may want to take your own food.

I would thoroughly recommend this experience.

Sachsenhausen Tour mit Ernestina
Ernestina is a wonderful tour guide that understands perfectly to be informative, sensible and precise within that devastating content of this tour.
At all time she finds the perfect wording in explaining and classification of that difficult and depressing content.

I'm very grateful that she was our guide today and I hope we will see each other again at another tour!

Incredible history
Definitely an amazing place to go. It might fee a bit harsh sometimes, when the tour guide tals about sensitive topics, just as the neck shot rooms and mass graves. I think it’s amazing their death streamlined process and how things happen. My tour guide was Ernestina, she was brilliant and told us many pieces of the history with some stuff she also read about it, like survivor speeches and stories about the life in it, she really gave life to the tour.
Thank you so much for the mind blowing experience and for being so nice, getting all of our questions out of the way and being super sensitive about it, teaching us way more than we see in movies and at school.
I really recommend doing this guided tour. Wouldn’t know half of it if it wasn’t for the guide!!!

Learnt a lot from Susan in Sachsenhausen
Oct 2020
I did the Sachsenhausen concentration camp tour. It was a unique experience! If you have never been to such a camp I strongly recommend that you go and learn more about the dark days of the Holocaust. Our guide Susan Grouchy was so amazing! She is a true professional, very educated, with a lot of expertise in archaeology and history. She is super easy-going and was happy to answer any questions and even send us extra materials on the topic. Loved it!
An advice - dress warm ! October is cold in Berlin and maybe slightly colder in Oranienburg.

The right way to visit Sachsenhausen
Aug 2020 • Couples
In one of the most heavy visit of Berlin our guide Rochale managed to teach us the story of concentration camps in a very interesting way answering all of our questions. Moreover she gave us some hints so that if we want we have the possibility to go deep into this dark chapter of history.
I want to point out the passion Rochale have to this work and to this tour, she did everything she could to make the whole group comfortable, for example she chose the paths with more shade so that the heat was bearable.
She deserves more than than 5 stars but this is yet the best rating
