What to expect
Confirm your preferred start time and meet your guide in central Granada. Then, skip the Alhambra’s long entrance lines, heading straight inside the UNESCO-listed complex. Admire the 13th-century Alcazaba fortress, as you learn about the Nasrid sultans—Spain’s last Muslim rulers—who reigned from 1230 to 1492. Next, see the ornamental halls and chambers of the Nasrid Palaces and Comares Palace, as you hear about the sultans and their harems, taking in highlights including the Patio of the Lions en route. View the Renaissance-era Palace of Charles V, built when Granada came under Catholic rule, and discover the courtyards and greenery of the Alhambra gardens. Afterward, explore the neighboring Generalife gardens, the patios, pools, and archways of which served as the sultans’ summer retreat. Listen as your guide shares the gardens’ history, and feel free to ask any questions you wish throughout. When the time comes, your tour concludes at the Alhambra.

Informative Tour Guide
Aug 2020 • Friends
Very good knowledgeable tour guide Edu, really made the history of the Alhambra come alive. Edu did our tour in perfect English and answered all questions we asked, really knows his stuff and was entertaining for the 3 hours of the tour. Would definatley recommend.

Refused to refund charges for a walking tour that cannot occur due to the pandemic
May 2019
I booked a walking tour costing £236 with this firm in early June. Due to the pandemic and the inability to travel to Spain from the UK I cancelled the tour. They have refused to refund the money even though they will not be providing the service and they have 2 months, so would not incur any costs. Very bad service, avoid.

Good morning, As we already mentioned, to this day, the Alhambra and Generalife trustees have indicated that they will not refund any reservation from May 1 onwards. We also inform you that we are negotiating and lobbying for this situation to change and reimburse us both sides, but this is not the case yet. Currently the cancellation conditions that were known when making the purchase apply, and which are not random, are precisely for this reason. We inform you that when the time comes and it will surely come, the Alhambra will yield, because it will surely not be open, and it will return the money and you are sure that it will be reimbursed. Please be patient and check that for the first or second week of May, this will surely be reversed. The Viator company will inform you of this, with whom you bought and paid for the tour, if the case will come. By then your little solid comment will already be included here, despite the fact that your money will probably have been returned. Have a nice day and take care of yourself. Juan Antonio Salcedo

Amazing place and great guide!
To visit the Alhambra is a mix of intriquing history, amazing gardens, architecture and artistry I could have never imagined coming from the 13th century. For the best exposure to the true beauty of what artisans could do with plaster 800 years ago be sure to include the palaces. Our private guide, Eduardo, was incredibly knowledgeable, especially about all flora and fauna, as well as history. His English is excellent and it was obvious he loves this place and was happy to be able to share it with us. We found Eduardo through Nhue Concierge, also through TripAdvisor. Highly recommend them for tickets and guide. Made the whole thing very easy.

Private Palace Tour
Feb 2020
We had a private tour by Edu of Alhambra palace. We were a party of 5 with varying levels of knowledge about Alhambra and its history. Edu made the site come alive as he told us the history and the purpose behind the construction and architecture of the palace. Rather than spill out a bunch of facts, he created the story of living there as a Sultan as we walked from the outer parts of the palace to the inner courtyards. He captured everyone’s attention and made it a truly memorable tour. I felt sorry for the other people visiting the palace because all of the details that Edu shared with us gave us such a rich appreciation for an incredibly beautiful place. Nhue Concierge was also fantastic to deal with as we needed to add people after our initial booking. It was also great that they included our tickets...navigating the Alhambra site can be challenging.

Thoroughly Enjoyable Tour
Feb 2020
To get most out of a visit to this extraordinary world heritage site, you should have an exceptional guide, and ours — Edu Diaz Prados — is among the best. He is incredibly knowledgeable not only about the complete history of the various palaces but also about the architecture and, in particular, the beautiful gardens. We remember in particular Edu’s evocative description of the way the sultans would have greeted visitors as they entered the palace and how the architectural structure of the rooms created a powerful drama guaranteed to highlight the sultan’s power. The tour was comprehensive and intense, but completely fulfilling.

Fabulous private tour
Jan 2020
We booked the 3 hour private guided tour for two couples traveling together because general admission tickets were booked out well in advance of our visit. We are thrilled that it turned out this way. The guided tour was so much more informative than doing it on our own, even with an audio guide.

Our guide Igone was fabulous. Her English was exemplary and she was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and patient with our many questions (which she was able to answer by the way).

The Alhambra itself is a spectacular monument and such a large part of Spanish history, being the last stand of the Moors. It is a highly recommended visit. The architecture, history, views and wonderful gardens make for a very enjoyable visit. We learned so much.

I have to mention our guide once more for her helpfulness in recommending a restaurant in the vicinity (not on the grounds, but somewhere not touristy). She said it was a family favourite with good, real, Spanish cuisine. It did not disappoint. And the views were spectacular. It was warm enough to sit on the terrace and we had stunning views of the town below and the snow capped Sierra Nevadas in the backround. Thank you Igone.

The private tour is not inexpensive but worth every penny!

Fantastic visit, wonderful guide
Dec 2019 • Family
I waited to book a trip to Alhambra and realized all that was available were tours, so I read up on this one before choosing a private tour. I would highly recommend especially our guide, Maryla. She's originally from Granada but grew up all over the world and speaks multiple languages. She specializes in tours in Hebrew and had extra knowledge of the Sephardic history of the area as well as the Moorish and Christian background. She took a nice gentle pace through the gardens and palaces, making us feel very unrushed. Being on a private tour, we were able to take the pace at our leisure even though she was keeping track of the time and making sure we got to thew entrances when we needed to be there. She encouraged questions and taking the time to take in all of the architecture and sights. I cannot imagine that we could have possibly learned as much or really seen as much without her guidance. I highly recommend this tour and Maryla Vazquez Zermeno.

Amazing Private Tour
Nov 2019
We have never done a private tour before but decided to try it for Alhambra and have no regrets. Our tour guide was Marta and she was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and kept things interesting. It is a very busy tourist attraction and a tour guide can be very helpful to ensure you get the most out of the experience. Highly recommend the site and tour company.
