White Villages and Ronda Day Tour from Seville
From US$91.87
Overview
Sample the fascinating food, scenery, wildlife and medieval history of Andalusia during this 10-hour exploration of Ronda and some of the area’s small villages. Sample olive oil in Zahara de la Sierra, then enjoy the views and scout for vultures at ‘Puerto de las Palomas.’ Cap it all off with a visit to historic Ronda, one of the oldest towns in Spain.
What to Expect
Receive a morning pickup from your hotel in Seville, after which you’ll drive through a striking landscape of sunflowers and wheat fields heading to “Las Aguzaderas,” a medieval castle that once straddled the border between Spain’s Catholic kingdom and the Moorish empire.

Proceed to Zahara de la Sierra, a picturesque “white village” known for its stunning views and rich history. Take a stroll around town and grab a coffee before touring a local olive oil factory that makes some of the best in all of Andalusia.

Then continue to Grazalema, passing through the “Sierra de la Grazalema” nature park while en route. You’ll enjoy views of distant cities like Cadiz and Malaga from the “Puerto de las Palomas,” located at 3,795 feet (1,157 meters), and scout for the native Griffon vultures that like to float overhead.

Arrive in Grazalema and pause for a tasty meal (own expense) surrounded by the town’s charming houses and colorful flowers. Following your visit, head to Ronda, one of the oldest towns in Spain, passing through a scenic forest filled with cork and oak trees on the way. When you arrive in Ronda, wander through this scenic city situated on two dramatic cliffs and take some free time to explore sights like the famous “New Bridge.”

You’ll be dropped off at your Seville hotel at the end of the excursion.

Nice Tour, Pretty Countryside. Hope for Fine Weather.

When I did the tour in October we had half a day of sunshine and the other half was overcast. It does make a difference. Overall, it was a very enjoyable outing, though. The scenery was great, and Zahara de la Sierra turned out to...More

Great guide, nice place, superb bus

The bus was so new that it had USB charging ports and looked like it had just left the factory. Very nice. The tour guide, Peter (German) was excellent. I particularly liked the visit to the small olive oil factory, pertinent because half of Spain...More

We had two guides on this tour--Reyes and Abraham. When we were off the bus, Abraham took the Spanish speakers and Reyes the English speakers, but both provided information on the bus. They complemented each other well--Reyes being especially interested in history and Abraham in...More

If you are making it a private booking (as we did - the minivan and guide/driver for us cost about the same as 4 tickets on a group tour) then I'm sure you could swap a castle visit and one of the villages for the caves. But... More

I doubt it would be a problem. We had ample room in our van but I’d recommend telling them when your driver contacts you to confirm the reservation and pick up location. Enjoy! It was a beautiful trip.
