What to expect
  • Meet your guide in central Seville and begin your walking tour of Santa Cruz, the former Jewish quarter. Explore the cobbled lanes speckled with whitewashed houses and orange tree-filled plazas as you hear about the district’s history. Seville’s Jewish peoples were confined here in 1248 by Ferdinand III and stayed until they were expelled from Spain in 1492. Visit the beautiful Plaza del Triunfo and see the Patio de Banderas and Plaza de Dona Elvira, with its beautiful fountain. View the Balcon de Rosina, site of Rosina’s balcony in the opera “The Barber of Seville,” and discover the Calle Susona as you hear the dark tale behind its name. Other highlights include the Calles Vida and Agua, the Plaza Santa Cruz, and more. Next, enter the UNESCO-protected Alcázar (own expense) Europe’s oldest functioning royal palace, dating largely from the 1300s. Explore the enchanting rooms and gardens and learn how Spain’s royals still stay here when in Seville.
Lastly, visit UNESCO-listed Seville Cathedral (own expense), the world’s biggest Gothic cathedral. Marvel at the interior and enjoy the views from the Giralda bell tower, originally built by the Moors as a minaret. Your tour then concludes here when your guide departs.

Thank you very much indeed for sharing your experience. Pablo is a great connoisseur of the history of our city and a wonderful communicator. We are very happy that you enjoyed the experience and got to know Seville and its main monuments better. The great Cathedral and the Giralda, the Jewish quarter of Santa Cruz and the Alcazar of Seville. Thank you very much for counting on us for your experience.

Comprehensive, but not well organized
Nov 2019
We found the description of this tour somewhat misleading. While two of the three tour guides provided us with excellent information, our tour of the Santa Cruz area was disappointing.

It was not clear to us that these were three separate tours, with significant breaks in between. In addition, the information as to where we were to meet for the first tour was also unclear - spelling out the names of the tours, rather than using abbreviations would have been helpful. We wasted a lot of time going back and forth between meetings points and missed about 20 minutes of our tour of Alcazar.

Two of the three guides were very good. Our tour of the Santa Cruz quarter was disappointing. It occurred later in the day, and even though we questioned whether it would be past sundown, we were told not to worry about it. A good portion of the tour took place in the dark.

Dear customer, Thank you for informing us of the difficulties you encountered during your guided tour. We regret that you have not been able to enjoy this activity as each of our customers deserves. It is always frustrating for us when we learn that one of our clients has encountered difficulties after a booking with us. In this case we want to tell you that part of the charm of this Jewish quarter is to see it between day and night, which is why we start this visit at this time. We apologize if you did not like the light of the tour. We will continue working to improve and be able to please 100% of all our customers. For us the first thing is your happiness. Yours sincerely, The Customer Service Team

Free walking tour with Lina
Today I took the free walking tour through the beautiful city of Sevilla. The tour, given by Lina, was great. A lot of the history of the city was explained during the 2 hours in a simple yet straight to the point way. And the guide was very enthusiastic about the topic, which made it more engaging for the tourists and much more interesting.
Thanks again for the tour Lina!

3 separate tours instead of one
Jan 2018 • Couples
We had assumed this was one single tour from start to finish, however, it was treated by Pancho Tours as 3 separate tours with different start times and different guides for each part. The Jewish Quarter was led by Pablo and he did a very good job and was very knowledgeable. He brought us back to the meeting point for the tour of the Cathedral. I believe our guide was named Ramon and he also was very knowledgeable although some times his English was a little hard to understand. We got back to the meeting point for the 3rd part about 15 minutes early. Ramon wasn't sure whether we were supposed to go at 3 or 4 but we waited till 3 to make sure we didn't miss anyone. Ramon tried to call his colleagues and got no answer. So, on the off chance that we were supposed to meet at 4 instead of 3, we went and got a bite to eat and came back at 4. Still no sign of Pancho tours so went into the Alcazar and paid for audio guides to take us through. We complained later and Pancho Tours claimed we were no shows and refused to compensate us for the 3rd part of the tour and the cost of the Audio guides. While we had used Pancho Tours before we will think carefully about using them again.

Hi Harvey, Thanks for your review and your comment about Pablo. I´m very glad you glad you enjoyed very well the tour Jewish Quarter. I can´t feedback for the 3rd part of the tour what´s happened because we don´t have any guide whose name is Ramon. Anyway, please accept our apologies.

Wonderful tour with Lina
Lina was incredibly knowledgeable and funny. Throughout our tour she broke down the history of Seville and included fun local myths. The tour is long but gives a great layout of the major sites, as well as a good background for what you are seeing. Lina's English is great, she speaks quickly, but is easy to follow. I highly recommend a tour with her!
