    Answered Jan 2020
    Is the tour wheelchair accessible?
If you have a foldable wheelchair and the traveller can walk small distances, then yes. You will need to walk to get on the boat (just a few meters) and to be able to get on the train and tram.
    Answered Jan 2020
What happens if the boat trip is cancelled due to bad weather?
In case the boat trip is cancelled due to bad weather, we might do it just in Port de Soller. It depends on the sea conditions as safety goes first.
    Answered Jan 2020
Is the ride suitable for small children?
This is a great family day out, as children will love the combination of different transports, mainly the train and the boat.

      Palma, great city break
We stayed in Palma City for 7 days, at Hotel Continental. The hotel was excellent and close to restaurants and local sites. I would recommend The Cathedral to visit. It looks especially spectacular when lit up at night. The people were very friendly and welcoming. Bellver Castle offers excellent views across the bay. I would recommend getting a taxi up to Castle, for about €10, and walking down the 472 steps back to Palma. De Born boulevard is very vibrant for shopping, or just people watching in the shade of the trees. Restaurants cost €60 to €65 for 2 courses and drinks. Restaurante Tinto was our favourite! The train/ tram trip to Soller and Puerto Soller, is well worth it for the scenery through the mountains.

      Worth revisiting !
We enjoyed the tour of Mallorca and Valledemosa ,Soller . Our guide Elliana was a local and very knowledgeable ,made our trip special however without our master bus driver it would be impossible to drive up hill in the valley! Beautiful views , nice people, great shopping . Mallorca is a place worth to revisit in the future.

      Horrible experience
I searched for one hour to find this location and could not find the meeting spot. I am from California, but speak Spanish and I asked four different people where the meeting location was and could not find it. I called the tour company and a woman hung up on me after waiting on hold for a long time. Completely ruined my day and we did not end up going on the tour. I called back and they refused to give me a refund. And it took me $40 in taxis to get to the city center, only to be able to not find the tour. Do not buy this tour.

      Do it 100%
Booked via hotel and no thrills. Had a slight banking issue which was my banks failing, the no thrills company were patient and kept my booking for a cash payment. The tour guide on the day was informative helpful and good humoured. Coach trip good apart from the spoilt entitled types that you get on every trip!! The caves are amazing, the musical concert AMAZING and the short boat trip….Yea it was ok. . Totally recommend the trip. . Yes there will be hundreds of people so be prepared

      Enjoyable
Collected by a comfortable coach and friendly guide who pointed out enthusiastically, things of interest during the journey. The downside - the mic was very muffled and therefore difficult to hear. Getting in was swift and well organised and at first very busy, but you don’t need to rush. You are free to amble and take as many photos as you like and the crowds thin. Sitting and waiting for the concert to start is a bit painful but worth it. We didn’t bother queuing for the boat ride. We had an hour before we were due to leave so took a walk down to the harbour for a drink which was very enjoyable. A nice few hours.

Lot:s of sitting is bus, wont drop you off the same place you get in,not for solo travellers!
Tour went as it was suppose to,until the tour bus broke in Muro when coming back.Things like this happends,I understand, but for me it was quite dissapoint how it was handeled. We got new bus after 50 minutes waiting, thats okay. Since sun went down,it got dark, and I had no clue where are we as my first trip to Alcudia. My hotel stop was said, mut it was not the spot I have came in (No frills office near my hotel).I just freezed and thougt that maybe it is the next stop then. Guide came to upstairs and literally yelled me "Why are you in my bus!" I got confused and walked quicky out,had no idea where am I.The bus driver kindly told which direktion I should go. I found my hotel but experience was not good.As a female solo traveller,in strange place, dark, mobile phone battery empty, and late for 2 ours from chedule,it pissed me off. I managed it,but what if I were older or first time ever abroads? So that is why I can't recommend. Other things you should know: -The buss ride took 1.5 hour from Alcudia to Palma since there are very many stops!By public busses it's faster. -Tour is mainly planned for German,as most of the talk is german language. No harm for me,but it's quite noisy when all is quided first english and then longer version as germany.

      Caves are beautiful but…
The caves themselves are stunning and well worth a visit. Also the tour guide gave information about the route to the caves in 4 languages which I thought was very good. However, there were quite a few negatives. There are too many people in the caves at one time. It felt very rushed. There is no information or opportunities to ask questions about the caves. People were very rude and ignorant; a woman actually pushed my husband out of her way because she wanted to take a photo where he was standing admiring the caves. Of course, the tour operator is not responsible for the rude behaviour of other people however it seems that people were becoming frustrated and irritable because the caves were too crowded. There is a queue for the short boat trip, I personally enjoyed the row boat and thought it was worth the wait but once again people were trying to push through the queue. Be prepared to stand your ground and not let people bully you out of their way. Prior to the caves there was a short trip to the pearl factory to use the toilets . A waste of time in my opinion, the pearl factory is literally across the road from the caves. At the end of the caves tour we had to rush a coffee, I would much rather have spent time enjoying lunch at the caves rather than have stopped at the pearl shop. If I could do the day over again I would travel by public transport , go to the caves as early as possible to avoid crowds then spend some time enjoying the beautiful Porto Christo. Overall disappointed because I had to rush the parts of tour I wanted to spend time(enjoying the caves and having coffee) and feel time was wasted using the toilet facilities at the pearl shop.

A great addition to a holiday in Alcudia
We thoroughly enjoyed this boat trip. The crew were brilliant. We were taken to beautiful spots to swim, snorkel and paddle board. This trip was well worth it and we were so glad we booked with this company.

      Almost a scam
By far the most terrible excursion I have ever witnessed. Do NOT pay 58€ for this. The boat is terribly old, and handles waves extremely poorly, inevitably making everyone aboard seasick to the point where half of the guests are vomiting. It is as if they know that everyone will vomit, as they hand out puke bags about 15 minutes into sailing, but never once warned beforehand that this may happen. Then when we finally get to the dolphins, we stay there for about 8-9 minutes before heading back to port again, making seeing the dolphins a seldom sight. As if all of this wasn’t bad enough, the catering aboard is also terrible, dry and boring and overpriced.

      Cave is fantastic but:
A stunning cave but: To many people, a short trip down the cave and short consert with a few songs. The boat trip is only 50-100meters not worth staying in line for.

Very expensive and far too busy. The boat at the end is a waste of time as the rides last 2 minutes !!! Too many people and very rushed. The location is hard to get too also. Just not worth it. Thanks.

      Caves where beautiful
Caves - beautiful caves, very busy but if you are the first one in - enough time to look around, the music sounded very nice and we stood an extra 30 min in a queue for the boat trip but you can walk through the path towards the exit. Driver - very professional driver especially in the Spanish culture, no harsh braking or sudden acceleration. Guide - very friendly and informative as he speaks fluently in 4 languages, please be aware there is no guide in the caves. 2 stars - only for the price, being too pushy with the time and misinformation. From the advertisement, you can understand that you are paying for the music concert and the boat trip but that is included in the general admission ticket ... that is why there is a very long queue for the boat trip. Take away the entrance to the caves tickets, wages for the bus driver and the guide plus bus maintenance and government taxes, and somebody takes more than 1000 euros into their pocket ... ** My advice if you are traveling on your own it is worth it but for 2 people and more, it is way better to hire a car and get there by yourself as it is more interesting places in the area.

I booked this tour for me and my husband as a way to visit the island. We were picked at our hotel early in the morning with a guide and a bus driver. There were roughly 40 people in the end on the bus. The guide, Joseph, spoke 5 languages as he walked us through the sites during this day long journey. The drive through the mountain is a bit nerve racking due to the hills but obviously the driver was a pro. I liked that the tour included a boat trip and a trip ride. Joseph was great. I would recommend this tour for adults and pre-teens, I think young kids would get tired with all the different changes ( bus, boat and train ). Even though the tour lasted 8hr , it went by pretty quickly and was a great and affordable way to explore the island.

We are very pleased that you enjoyed our Island Tour excursion and that you had a great day out with Pepe. I would not recommend it to anyone. By the time we would have gone a private bus would have picked us up in front of the hotel. People are not allowed on the bus by name, but by number (for example: 5 people Hotel XY). The bus driver didn’t let us go, even though we showed him the ticket and he behaved very contemptuously. He didn’t even call the tour company after that, and when we called them about what happened, they hung up the phone. Finally, after a long email, we were able to go another day, but neither the company nor the bus driver apologized for what I would have expected after such inconvenience and disorganization. Amateur all over. The tour itself takes you to nice places, but your free time is about enough to go to toilet, to look around the city, no time. Overall, I consider this money a lot because we traveled 90% of the day and looking out of the bus is not as great an experience as if we had stopped.. I do not recommend it to young people, but rather to retirees.

We are sorry you had a negative experience. It sounds like you had approached a bus that was not yours, which is why the driver/guide did not have your details. There are many coaches picking up in the morning in the popular tourist resorts. Without more details, it is not possible to know if that was the case or if something went wrong. Anyway, it does sound like the issue was resolved and I am glad that you were able to join the tour another day. Being an international tourist destination, we have customers from many different countries, and many names are hard to pronounce if you are not familiar with them. In order to save our customers and our guides the embarassment of mispronunciation, we always use hotel name and room number or ticket number when welcoming our clients aboard. There is plenty of time for more personal introductions during the day. Thanks for you feedback.

This full day itinerary is perfect to see some of the less Papillarleisten areas of the island and the mountains. Word for the nervous, the roads in the hills are tight and winding with some steep drops, but all the drivers have been exceptional. Our guide was very knowledgeable and seamlessly between Spanish, French, Italian and English. The boat didn’t run on our day but not too much of a loss. Highly recommended!

Dear traveller, Many thanks for your complimentary review of our Island Tour and of our company. We are very proud of this excursion and all our guides are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We also pride ourselves on our organisation as with think it is second to none here on Mallorca as we always consider the amount of free time our clients would like to have, the places they would like to see and the information they would like to receive. We are glad that you would be confident to travel with us again and we hope to see you in Mallorca again soon.

Our tour guide Pepe was excellent. He was organized and well spoken. He spoke multiple languages and made sure everyone understood what to expect while keeping things light hearted. He also kept track of everyone which I greatly appreciated as a solo traveler.
The bus driver was highly skilled at navigating the narrow mountain switchback roads. That was truly impressive. The buses were very comfortable with cool a/c.
There was always plenty of free time to shop and eat or use the restroom. I liked being able to explore on my own.
The boat ride had spectacular views of the coastline. It was beautiful to see the rock formations. It was a very hot day but there were snacks and beverages to purchase.
The tram and train were neat especially because they were electric powered. I was a little worried about it being too hot on the train, it is not air conditioned, but as you travel through the tunnels it was nice and cool.
Gorgeous views along the entire trip.
In the beginning I was a little confused about the pick up time and place, but when I asked, I received a text/email communication response right away to answer my questions.
Thank you for a unique experience! I highly recommend it.

Dear traveller, Thank you for joining us on our Island Tour, we are very glad that you enjoyed your day out with us. This is one of the most visually stunning days out on Mallorca and we think that our version of the tour is the best one because we have more free time than other tour companies, get to the busier places early before the crowds arrive and because we have the whole boat to ourselves during this part of the excursion. Thank you for agreeing that our excursion is good value and for your suggestion that we are better than our name No Frills indicates. We hope to see you again on our excursions and we hope that you had a great holiday.

In short: Fantastic trip where we really got to see Mallorca, great guide and driver and excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

We were the only couple with two small children on the bus (2 and 4 years old) and the varied day with relatively short trips on boat, tram and train made sure that they never got bored.

Most of all, the trip was excellent because of the brilliant guide, Albert, who spoke perfect English, had the right balance between fun facts history lessons and in general were a very funny man, who also made sure that everyone had a good trip and made very sure to be clear about different pick-up points and times.

The driver, Fernando, drove very elegantly and carefully throughout the day, especially in the mountains. This was very nice and contrary to the general taxi and bus drivers on Mallorca ;) There also was a great chemistry between Albert and Fernando.

For adults with small children: We were glad that we chose not to bring a stroller, as this would have been difficult - but not impossible - to bring in tram and train.

Review of No Frills Excursion Island Tour
This was not the Island Tour that I took in 2019 which I rated 5 stars and gave an excellent Trip Advisor review. In Aug 2021 the experience was different, the route was done in reverse.
Doing the trip in reverse has consequences, there is no time to spend in Soller, a beautiful town that deserves a look around, for us it was straight off the train and onto the tram down to Port de Soller, and we only had 30 minutes there, disappointing as in 2019 we had a couple of hours and time for lunch.
We then had an exciting if somewhat rough ferry journey to Sa Calobra, as nice as it is here 2 hours was much too long, there are just a couple of restaurants and a pretty 15 minute walk out to Torrent de Pareis.
We left Sa Calobra at 3pm, the winding mountain road was much busier with traffic in the afternoon compared with the morning journey of 2019, so it was stop go most of the way up, very slow but we had an excellent driver and it was a good climb to the top. After a short stop at the viewpoint it was 16.00 and a long long journey of 2.5 hours down through Inca, to Can Picafort, Alcudia etc dropping guests of at hotels all along the coast, eventually arriving at Port de Pollenca at 18.30.
In 2019 we switched coaches on return so that visitors from the Pollenca area had a quick and direct trip back. Not so in 2021.
Would I do the same trip again? Unfortunately no if the same route is followed. However it it was a repeat of the 2019 Island Tour down to Sa Calobra in the morning, a short stop there and more time in the Soller area it would be a definite yes!
    2021, sadly just 2 stars.

Hello, Thank you for explaining why you did not enjoy the tour as much as in the past and for mentioning how much you did enjoy the tour when you did it the first time. The tour you did in 2019 is the route that we normally take on this tour whenever possible. However, the tour can be done in both directions as it is a round trip. This year, as you can probably appreciate, tourism is not the same as it was in 2019. Not here in the Balearic Islands and not anywhere. The Soller Train has a lot less people than they have in normal times and this means they have limited timetables. The boat that we take from Sa Calobra to Puerto Soller at 12:15 (in normal times) is not currently running. The reason we have to do the tour one way or another depends entirely on the timetables of these modes of transport, which are completely out of our control. We can't take a boat that isn't running and we can't take a train at a time when it does not go. In our promotional material for this tour, both online and in resort, we state that the tour could be taken one way or the other way - either way, the same places are visited and the same modes of transport are included. Perhaps you did not notice how much COVID has affected tourism on our island, but in 2019 we were operating this tour nearly every day of the week in high season, with 2-3 coaches per day. This year we are operating the tour two days a week with one coach each time. This means there is no way to split people for the return journey to reduce the drop-off times. Do we wish we had a higher volume of people like in normal times? Yes, of course we do. I hope this helps you to understand how drastically we (and other local companies) have been affected by the pandemic. Thank you.

We loved this tour — Francisco was an amazing tour guide, so helpful and friendly and spoke 5 languages! This experience is an AMAZING deal considering the amount of transportation we got and the ability to see several locations all across the island.

    A few downsides though —

The first stop (leather store) was ok but I would have much rather preferred more time at the other stops and eliminated this one.

Crowds: many of the stops are very crowded tourist locations so if you are not into that, maybe skip this tour and create your own route.

Also, pickup challenges: we were assigned the center of Palma pick up (in front of the cathedral) and finding the right bus was honestly a free for all. There was about 10 buses that arrived all at the same time and it wasn’t clear which one was for our tour. We had to ask several of the bus drivers if our name was on their list and ended up on a different bus than we were supposed to be on because of the other bus being full for some reason. However, even through all of this confusion the staff was so helpful and kind, and we eventually got where we needed to go.

Fantastic trip to Soller today including boat, tram and train. The guide Albert was superb sharing some great facts with an excellent sense of humour. Only let down was the Tram from Soller port to old Soller town - many of us had to stand as not enough seats. For a 30 mins trip this was very uncomfortable for some of the passengers - No Frills need to sort this in future. However the actual ride was lovely - passing lemon and orange groves so close you felt you could pick them. All in all a great trip, brilliantly organised and would definitely recommend if anyone fancies a day away from the beach.

We hope to see you again on our excursions and we hope that you had a great holiday.

Juan, our guide, kept telling us humourously what a good driver Fernando was but it was really true. We had a really smooth, easy ride around the various narrow, windy roads. Juan easily slipped from fluent Spanish, French and English to make sure everyone in the bus gets timely information about the views and laughed at his jokes.

We learnt a lot of interesting information about the island, vegetation and geology. Had enough time to enjoy the beautiful highlights as described of Majorca.

Worth getting a drink or baguette (€6.50) in Port de Soller for the lovely view and nice toilets.

The only thing I didn’t like about the tour was the organization fo the tram. It was supposedly a pre-organised private tram but not everyone got a seat. There were at least 25 people (at least half) in our group who didn’t get seats. Luckily it was a fairly short tram ride and didn't detract from a lovely day out.
