About
Enjoy a dolphin and whale watching cruise, sailing offshore from the southwest coast of Gran Canaria, in the area between Puerto de Mogán and the Maspalomas Lighthouse.
Get on board one of our catamarans, safe and comfortable boats that, due to their characteristics, offer a pleasant navigation, with less rolling than a monohull or smaller catamarans.
.
After sailing in search of cetaceans, we will return to the coast, making a stop of about 30 - 45 minutes in Cala del Perchel, Taurito, Tauro or Anfi del Mar, depending on the sighting area that has been navigated. At that time you can enjoy a refreshing swim, use the snorkeling equipment included in the activity and have a refreshing drink, returning later to Puerto Rico to end the activity.

- 56jennifer0 contributionsGreat way to travel to another resort along the coastThe views were great , we just paid for our tickets on the day.A return is cheaper than buying two singles. We went from Puerto Rico to Mogán 11.30 outbound and 17.15 returnWritten 14 August 2024
- 994Carrie0 contributionsFerry to Puerto RicoA great ferry to Puerto Rico from Puerto Mogan. Left on time and fully entertained during the trip. Good music and very friendly entertaining staff. Very very good with children…one crew member had a squeaky red nose and made balloon characters whereas the other took charge of puppets such as baby shark 🤪😂. Highly recommend.Written 29 July 2024
- 182glenns0 contributionsFerry from Puerto Rico to Puerto del MoganOn Fridays it is market day in Puerto del Mogan so we booked the ferry from Puerto Rico in advance, they take a small deposit then balance on the day. It was 13 euro each return for the 30 mins journey. There was a great relaxed atmosphere on the boat with children being invited to go up front and use the boat's horn. Great views all along the coast and great way to travel.Written 14 June 2024
- Samantha S0 contributionsPlain sailing! We always get the ferry from Arguiniguin to Mogan whenever we visit the island. Lovely trip viewing the stunning coastline and all the staff are friendly and helpful. A must when visiting the island.Written 9 May 2024
- Catherine K0 contributionsWarning to all about the guys in the harbour desk for the Blue bird ferry to mogan. A bunch of clowns!Today the last day of our Puerto Rico holiday we planned on having our last dinner in Puerto De Mogan . We walked down to the harbour early in the day to ask where do we pay for a boat to Mogan for 5.30pm . The 3 guys dressed in blue TShirts assured us to come back at 5.30pm and we could pay on the boat . We returned to our swimming pool . Left the pool early and walked back to the harbour at 5.15pm . The same 3 guys were there laughing their heads off and said that the last boat was at 4.30pm, and that they had played a joke on us !! Some way to run a boat company . Best to book other ferry and avoid these clowns. Very disappointed to miss the opportunity to visit Puerto mogan.Written 7 May 2024

- 687adaml0 contributionsGreat ferry serviceGreat boat trip with my wife to Mogan, easy process of purchasing tickets. Great trip. Highly recommend. €13 return is great value and boats always on scheduleWritten 19 September 2023
- James G0 contributionsFun ride - disappointing glassWe had high (perhaps naive) hopes for our glass bottom ferry ride, but sadly we couldn’t see anything out of the small (and dirty) windows. The crew on the boat were fabulous though, chatting to us and inviting our children to ‘steer’ the ship! The ride and views were lovely and we still managed to have an enjoyable journey.Written 22 August 2023
- DP_197219170 contributionsShouldn't be called glass bottomed....The ferry trip from Puerto Rico to Mogan was fine, easy to hop on and off but.. it's billed everywhere as glass bottomed boat trips which is completely false. There are some very small and dirty windows at the bottom of the boat which are impossible to see anything out of. If you're only using it to get from A to B it's ok but you'll be disappointed if you're expecting to see anything.Written 31 July 2023
- Yorkshire_4520 contributionsGreat way to see the coastUsed the ferry from Arquineguin to Puerto de Mogan. Gentle cruise of just over an hour up the coast with great views. Return journey was entertaining as one of the crew engaged the passengers in an impromptu singalong along with some balloon modelling for the younger childrenWritten 12 July 2023
- Melodwhit0 contributionsPuerto Rico - Mogan FerryGot the return ferry from Puerto Rico to Mogan today, good value and excellent crew, really entertaining and made a real effort for the kids on board, which was a lovely surprise on such a short trip.Written 6 June 2023
- EstGraham0 contributionsNice little boat tripWe got the blue bird ferry from pueto rico to Morgan return. It cost €13 for a return ticket. It was a lovely 30 min journey down the coast. The staff were friendly and offered to take photographs of couples/families. If you fancy a boat trip but don’t want to be away all day this is the thing to do! Also get to have a wander around the lovely little port of Morgan with little cafes, shops, beach and harbour. Tickets you just buy at the Marina as you get on to the boat- no need to pre book. The glass bottom is a little bit disappointing if you are interested in this part of the boat as only a very small area to look down. More interesting to sit on the top deck and enjoy the surrounding area.Written 3 June 2023

Lovely family boat ride which allowed us to see quite a few dolphins. Nice music played not too loud. Lovely staff giving info along the way. Good value, booked via get your guide website. Nice boat with plenty of seating. Not a party boat, serving soft drinks and nibbles.
Be aware that it's a boat that takes you out to the Atlantic ocean, not just the coast, so it's not like a Mediterranean boat trip. It was choppy when we went in July and there was lots of people who were affected by this. Lots of sick bags in use, the staff were kind and attentive about this.
Good snorkelling stop too, the staff give float noodles and snorkels if you've not brought your own.
Local pick ups available for an extra euro per person each way.

Amazing boat trip, we saw loads of Dolphins. The staff are all very lovely and very informative. We had free soft drinks during the time we stopped for a swim in the Sea. The sea was lovely ,we had 45min/1 hr to swim and use of snorkels and floats and a slide on back of the boat., there are lots of fish in the area were we swam. A lovely Clean boat couldn't of asked for a nicer boat trip. And we also had a keyring that had our photo on it from the trip and it only cost 5euros

Well worth a trip here, plenty of space and the boat journey is very relaxing with stunning views. Managed to catch a school of dolphins and back to a lovely cove for a long swim in the clear water. Jumping off the boat and the boat slide is a must if you enjoy that type of thing! Captain and staff are very friendly 😄 fully recommend!

When we were sold a 2.5 hour trip to see some dolphins it was not made clear to us that the water could be rough. You must remember that Gran Canaria is on the Atlantic Ocean and is also very windy and that combination meant that the water was rough and most passengers on the boat were sick as that boat rocked back and forth. Four out of 5 of my family was sick and the staff were helpful in providing sick bags. Overall we managed to see some wild dolphins for about 10 minutes maximum but the trip was horrible and not worth it

Dear reviewer,
I'm sorry about your bad experience on the activity you made but, according the information you gave on your message, I'm not sure you made the trip with us:
- There hasn't been any day another company saw dolphind and we don't.
- Our trip is on a catamaran and we set sail from Puerto Rico.
We are Lineas Blue Bird, our searching dolphins trips are on catamaran, the colours of our boats are blue and white.
If you still believe you made the trip with us, please, let me know the date of your trip.
I hope you have a nice stay in Gran Canaria.
Best regards.

It was great, the dolphins were there. Park about a hundred meters before the meeting point because parking is cheaper, 6 euros per day. Arriving near the boat, there is always someone to guide you in Spanish, English, German and even French. Toilet and drink on board. Safety jacket....
Remember to take some things for seasickness because 3 hours of being sick is a long time. Very attentive staff. Souvenir photos 10 euros and 5 euros for a key ring. They don't insist.

Everything was well organized. Right from booking over the phone the day before until the included shuttlebus transfer and the actual cruise.
All invilved staff was highly service minded, friendly and paid good attention to individual needs.
We saw flying fish and dolphins. During the snorkeling there was crystal clear waters and lots of fish.
The catamaran boat was comfortable even in bigger waves off shore. The crew did their best to adjust course and speed to the comfort of passengers - Well done.
We highly recommed Blue Bird for this activity.

Very pleasant trip by catamaran, we could see dolphins and it was exciting. The crew is friendly and explanations about the environment and animals are appreciated. The bath was fun, to see the bottom and the fish with the glasses and the tube dived is fantastic. My daughters and I really enjoyed the outing.

Great boat trip with a friendly crew. The captain knows exactly what he's doing, we had lots of great views. Dolphins in a pack for an hour - great! We were there as a family with three children (3, 6 and 10 years old). We spent the break in a beautiful bay near Mogán. Here we could snorkel and watch lots of fish in the clear water. The equipment was new and clean and was provided free of charge. Soft drinks were free during the break, but not during the trip. Prices were completely OK though.
Conclusion: nice trip with good chances of seeing dolphins in the wild. Absolutely fair price/performance ratio. Recommended trip for young and old.

As a family we were really looking forward to this trip. Unfortunately as soon as we set sail and got into choppy waters the boat was swaying too much from side to side and pretty much half the tourists (15+) on the boat were throwing up. The smell was horrendous and had the knock on effect of making you feel sick just from the smell. We have never been on a boat trip where this has ever happened before. The speed of the boat and the choppiness of the waves did not mix well and we should have slowed down, however the boat continued at the same speed despite some individuals asking the crew to slow down.
On our trip back into harbour the boat was a lot slower which everyone seemed to manage better which at least aided in making the boat smell better.
To top it off and I know there is no guarantee but we saw no dolphins.
