Local Wine and Cava with Tapas and 4WD Vineyard Experience Premium Small-Group from Barcelona
US$86.73
Overview
Experience all aspects of Barcelona’s rich culture on a wine, cava, and tapas tour, the ideal choice for lovers of Catalan cuisine. In addition to sampling multiple varietals of cava and wine, you’ll explore the region’s vineyards in a 4WD vehicle—an experience not usually included on conventional wine tours. Plus, you’ll take a tour of the candle-lit cellars and learn little-known facts about wine production.
What to Expect

Your tour begins at a designated meeting point in central Barcelona, where you’ll board an air-conditioned coach destined for a family-run winery in the Catalan countryside. On arrival, you’ll take a tour of the wine cellars and learn little-known information about the production of Spanish wine.

Then, sample four wine varietals during a tasting session before boarding a 4WD vehicle for a tour of the vineyards, home to a Romanesque church. Continue to the second cellar, where you’ll have the exclusive opportunity to enter the Capella: the oldest part of the winery. Taste four types of cava accompanied by Spanish tapas designed to enhance the flavor. Your tour concludes with drop-off at your original departure point.

Not at the winery. The tour included a really nice 4x4. You do need to climb into the back, but the tour guides are friendly and offer assistance. There is a small hike, but I assume you can elect to remain with the vehicle... More
