      Very informative tour
We gained so much information about the city on our walk with Pia. To understand the buildings and the city design was enlightening. Such passion and knowledge. Easy to ask questions. I could have spent hours in her company

      10/10 recommend this tour
This tour set a VERY high bar for walking tours. Tomás started our tour with historical maps and images on the history of Barcelona, Cerdas and Gaudi which gave context to the rest of the tour. We experienced Gaudí through the eyes of an architect while walking the streets of Barcelona. It was like a dream come true. 10/10 recommend.

      Learned a lot about architecture!
Our guide, Pia, was very good. She was enthusiastic about architecture. I would not have noticed many details that she pointed out. It was very educational. A bit of a walking lecture. We were given listening devices so there was no problem hearing her.

      Must Do while in Barcelona
Thomas was an incredible tour guide, he was extremely knowledgeable about the architecture and history of Barcelona. I expected the tour to be good, but did not expect it to be as enjoyable as it was. Thomas has a great and detailed understanding of the area and makes the tour very fun. I would highly recommend!

A taste of Gaudi in a feast of Architectural History
Pia gave us a compact, immersive masterclass in history and architecture, presenting truckloads of information illuminated by a combination of stories, cultural references, and the buildings and neighborhood we visited. This is not just a “Gaudi tour” (which I hoped for and expected) but rather a mosaic that placed several of the man’s gems in context and allowed us to compare them with their contemporarily constructed neighbors, and with the architecture that appeared later. I enthusiastically recommend the tour and Pia as guide. Brava!!!

Thank you for a super city tour
Our 4 person group toured the city streets with a landscape architect Daniela for four hours. She told and showed us how the city has developed from 1859 to today. It was a fascinating way to get to know the city and it's history. The one thing that we always will remember from the tour is the courage of the Barcelona city, architects and landscape architects to implement even the more unusual plans. In addition, this four-hour session increased the understanding of how much urban planners and landscape architects need to know and to take into account when making plans.

Learned so much; Pia was wonderful
Our guide Pia was funny, passionate and clearly knew her stuff. My engineering grandson and son-in-law would have loved it but as non-architects we did too. Perfect combination of the technical and non-technical, engineering, architecture and history. Best architecture tour I have ever had and headphones were a plus. No matter where you stood you could hear Pia’s commentary . Couldn’t recommend more highly.

      Great experience for adults
We tell everyone this was one of our favorite experiences in Barcelona. This is a very educational tour, almost like a college lecture, led by an actual professional architect. The information was very helpful for understanding and appreciating the city and planning other activities. The tour attracts curious, educated, participants so we were able to meet other people interested in art and architecture. The tour is very well planned with breaks and presentations along the route. Your guide will also show you maps and historical photographs so you have a better understanding. The walking is easy and our guide was fascinating. You will learn much more about Gaudi and Barcelona on this tour than you will from touring any of the Gaudi houses. If we could have stayed in Barcelona longer we would have taken more tours from this group.

Best part of Barcelona was this tour!
I studied engineering and architecture in school 30+ years ago, so it's been a dream to come to Barcelona and experience Gaudi. This week my dream came true, and while reading a book or informational signs or getting a general tour is nice for background information, to truly understand the buildings, the architects, and the designers, and most importantly understand the "why?", you need a tour by an expert. Pia did a wonderful job leading our group of 11 on the Gaudi Tour, providing earphones for folks to ensure they'd be able to hear her on the sometimes noisy city streets, and making the 3-hours fly by. I think most of us would have continued following her around the city and listening to her stories for several more hours. She put the history of the area into context, added in building code requirements, as well as the water and sewer infrastructure, and had boards with maps and photos along the way. There was so much I learned, it was hard to take it all in, but I loved every minute of it. Next time I'm in Barcelona, I will definitely take another tour from this firm. They are top notch, and well worth it.

      Learing with the Best
Our tour guide was exceptionally friendly and intelligent. She took the time to draw examples of architectural concepts and explain details of engineering. We were very lucky to have a College Professor show us around.

If you don't do anything else, do this
As journalists, we travel for a living and generally shun guided tours, preferring to find out things by ourselves. But boy, were we wrong this time: The Gothic to Modern tour was simply spectacular. Give the credit to Pia, an architect and university-level architecture lecturer who made a three-hour stroll through the old city into a genuinely absorbing master course in history, sociology and design. We'd walked the area for three days before the tour and thought we knew it well, but Pia's expertise taught us that we'd only been looking at the buildings -- not really seeing the cues that spoke to their history and the stages of the city's growth. We left wanting to buy books on Barcelona architecture and history to see what else was there. Barcelona is a magical place, but both of us would agree that the tour was perhaps the highlight of our week-long stay. (And no, we weren't paid or otherwise induced to write this. It's all true.) Put this at the top of your to-do list if you're going there.

      Barcelona and Gaudi architecture walk
Great architecture tour with Thomas a young german architect working in Barcelona. He shared his passion for Gaudi and Barcelona architecture with our group during the 3 hrs tour which turned into 4hrs. Taking time to answer all our questions and sharing his knowledge of this beautiful city. I highly recommend for an enjoyable overview of the city’s architecture history.

We went on the Barcelona & The Sea tour and had a great time with Ricard! We loved how he explained architecture, history, and urbanism in such an engaging way. We learned a lot and had fun along the way. This is my second time to go on a BAW tour, and I will keep going every time I come to Barcelona. I would highly recommend it to anyone who really wants to get to know the city, beyond the usual touristy stuff. Thanks, Ricard! Hope to be be able to go on another BAW tour again later this year!

Hi Consuelo! thank you so much for your kind words! Really Ricard is one of the best leading architects we have in our team. As you say our Barcelona & the Sea tour is a good choice to understand the origins of Barcelona, its history and culture and of course the best way to discover Barceloneta neighbourhood. It's fantastic that you have enjoyed with us! Hopefully we will walk together again discovering more secrets of Barcelona!
