Explore with a guide to learn about the Rock’s history and sights
Meet the Barbary macaques, visit St. Michael’s Cave, and more
Upgrade to explore the WWII tunnels on a guided visit
What to expect
Book your preferred option, meet your driver-guide and board your air-conditioned vehicle in central Gibraltar, and begin with a panoramic drive. As you sightsee, listen to your driver-guide sharing insights into Gibraltar’s history, geography, and culture, and snap photos of the landmarks. View the fortress walls, Moorish Castle, and Old Town, and enjoy the sea views at Europa Point, Gibraltar’s southernmost tip. Next, visit St. Michael’s Cave and the Apes’ Den on the Rock’s slopes to meet Gibraltar’s best-known residents: the Barbary macaques. Then, if you’ve upgraded to see the WWII tunnels, continue to the entrance to this extraordinary underground network. Tour the passageways, as you learn how they were excavated by the British in 1940 to house troops, food, and ammunition. View photos and exhibits, see the underground hospital and other facilities, and hear of the hardships of life here. Whatever your chosen option, your tour concludes in Gibraltar.

Must do tour
Sep 2021 • Family
We had a wonderful tour to the rock, including St Michael’s caves, WW II tunnels, Apes Den & Point Europa. David our guide waited for us as we were delayed by several minutes at the border, (traffic is terrible here btw). Once on the tour bus, we had a wonderful time. Recommend this for new visitors to Gibraltar.

To start with the driver was 40 minutes late when to drive across the whole island takes 10 minutes. We got to our first stop and me and my partner fancied getting a coffee from the cafe that was next to us. Whilst my partner was waiting for her coffee to get delivered our driver (Francis) very rudely told me that the bus was leaving and I very politely said “my partner is just waiting for her coffee to be made, she will be 2 minutes at the most” he demanded that she leaves the cafe and got on the bus to which I was forced to tell him not to speak to me with such a tone and allow her 2 minutes to get her coffee. Almost immediately after finishing what I was saying my partner was in view walking back to the van and once again the driver demanded us that he would drive off. Once we had brought a coffee and a snack the driver very rudely told us we couldn’t eat or drink on the bus which in my opinion should of been mentioned before driving.
For the duration of the tour the driver was very dull and boring with giving us all the facts along the route and to be very honest we had much better experiences with taxi drivers giving us historical facts just going for place to place, much more interesting experience.
Lastly we paid to go to the war tunnel to practically go caving however there was a power cut which means we weren’t able to do it, nobody’s fault these things happen. Our driver however was very rude immediately saying it’s not his problem. He did suggest us sitting down at a local castle however it was there for the public so clearly didn’t compensate the money we spent on the tunnels. I said I would like a refund and once again he very rudely told me it’s not his problem which is not something you expect to hear from a tour guide representing a company.
The day ended with the driver being very rude and aggressive to me when I told him I didn’t like his attitude and I was very disappointed with the experience.
100% would not recommend to anyone, get a taxi to take you everywhere I can Guarantee a much more pleasant experience!

Good Tour of Gibraltar and Rock Attractions
Jul 2021 • Couples
Our guide Mike was great and gave an informative history lesson and pointed out many historic sites. Tour was nice with stops at Europa Point, St. Michael's Cave, and the Ape Den. Didn't feel rushed except for the cave would have liked to spend more than 20 minutes there. Pleasant surprise we were upgraded to tour the WWII tunnels, which we hadn't booked but everyone else on the tour had. The only thing we were disappointed is that we didn't get all the way to the top of the Rock. Looking back at the tour description it doesn't really say so we had just assumed. It just has a vague 60 minutes listed. Overall we were pleased and it was a good value.

Quick and fun
Dec 2020 • Couples
The tour guide was very engaging and new a lot of history. The monkeys seemed very familiar with him and it was cute to watch their interactions. We got to spend a little time at all of the sites. As it wasn't very busy our tour went a little over expected time but I think we all appreciated it!

The Rock Tour is a solid option
Oct 2020
if you're interested in the history of Gibraltar , don't miss out on this. . Their " office" is in Cathedral Square , very easy to find and we were quoted £31 , which is good value as this includes the entrance fee to all 4 stops . The driver , Dennis Lopez , a Gibraltarian , was highly experienced and most clued up as even before reaching out first destination he was informing us of EVERYTHING " on the route , and it was all interesting stuff . We stopped at The Pillars of Hercules , The Caves of St Michael, The Macaque nature Reserve and the mountain tunnels . The whole trip takes about 1 and a half hours.

Boring
Oct 2019 • Family
Don't even bother! Filthy place, awful food and very aggressive apes on rock that makes it an extremely dangerous place for children. No wardens, no guides, no help. Never, ever let children out of vehicles on this horid rock. The town itself is covered in ape droppings, is sooooo boring, and offers nothing in the way of good food.

I am really sorry your experience in Gibraltar wasn't good. I hope our rock tour at least was interesting and enjoyable. With wild animals you always have to be careful and there are signs up the rock pointing this out. In Gibraltar there is a large variety of options for food and caters for everybody's tastes. Good Value and a good way to see everything you need to see in 2 hours !
Aug 2020
Throughly enjoyed our two hour tour of Gibraltar and saw things we would never have visited alone. The guide was kind and knowledgeable and took photos for us and shared personal experiences and a good history of the Rock.
Air conditioned bus which was great as it was 34C outside. The driver was so helpful when we could not find the pick up point and came to collect us at the last minute which was very very much appreciated.
COVID masks needed for the tour and hand sanitizer was provide each time we got back on the bus.
