Your guide will lead you through the more than 30 buildings, built for Emperor Hadrian's lover and consisting of libraries, temples, and thermal baths, connected by underground tunnels. Break for free time and lunch (own expense). Then move on to Villa d'Este, where you'll learn about its history. Built for Lucrezia Borgia's son in the 15th century, the villa includes gardens with fountains, waterfalls, and old-growth trees.
