Overview
Explore Vatican City, with time-saving skip-the-line access, in the company of a guide. Visit the Vatican Museums (admission ticket price not included), the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica in a single, half-day walking tour. Get insider info on these must-see Rome attractions through your guide’s commentary, guaranteed to reveal little-known facts.
What to Expect
Choose a start time that fits your schedule, and then meet your guide outside the entrance to the Vatican Museums. Skip waiting in the often-long lines for tickets and pay your guide directly for admission (not included in tour price).

Step inside and begin your tour. Your guide will narrate an orientation and give in-depth commentary on the highlights of the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel as you walk.

Explore Raphael’s Rooms, and hear stories behind works such as the School of Athens, a piece that features images of Michelangelo and Raphael. Pass through halls such as the Gallery of the Masks and Gallery of the Maps. Then, make your way into the Sistine Chapel. A sacred spot and the private papal chapel, the Sistine Chapel is also renowned for its Michelangelo frescoes—The Last Judgement and The Creation of Adam.

Continue to St. Peter’s Basilica, where you'll see Michelangelo’s famous La Pietà. Before wrapping up your tour outside the church, take a moment to rub the foot of the statue of St. Peter for luck.

Opt to upgrade your experience with a before-hours, small-group tour or an after-hours tour (St. Peter's Basilica not included), when the premises are closed to the public.

Informative, value for money. Great guide!

Well organized, knowledgeable guide that gave us an experience we would not have came close to if we tried to do this on our own. Worth it!

Not worth it!

We bought the skip the line ticket with guided tour of the museum, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. The ticket itself was expensive coming out to 82€ and we had to pay an additional 24€/person upon arrival. (Why that isn't covered in the initial...More

Very disappointing

We paid for a semi private, skip the line tour. Our “maximum 12” tour had 18 people in it. Our “guide,” Monica, spent all her time talking to 2 people, and we waited more than 90 minutes to get into the Vatican. Don’t do this...More

Dad and Daughter trip to the Vatican Museums

We had a great time with the tours we had taken so far in Rome so it was likely we would run into a dud at some point. First things first when you book it is only after you read the detailed info that the...More

VATICAN - Jewel of an Experience

It will cost a bit extra, but purchasing "Skip the Line" tickets to visit the Vatican is very worthwhile. The paintings by Michaelangelo, in the Sistine Chapel, are phenomenal. You will be among large crowds of people, so having a hired guide is all but...More

It cost us €48 for 2 people for the entrance fees. We met at the tour office but maybe it changes at different times of the year.

We actually booked a tour that included the museum entry. You'll notice a price difference - the more expensive ones include the price of the museums. Watch for those that don't say "Does not include price of museum entries"
