Overview
Enjoy skip-the-line entrance to the Colosseum and use the time you save to discover more of the ancient wonders of Rome. After a guided tour of the mighty Colosseum, explore the ruins of the Roman Forum, see the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, and look out over Rome from the top of Capitoline Hill. This tour is limited to 18 people so you're assured a personalized experience.
What to Expect
Meet your guide and tour group of up to 18 people in central Rome and set out on a morning or afternoon walking tour of the city.

The first stop of the day is one of Rome’s star attractions, the famous Colosseum, and thanks to your prepaid skip-the-line tickets, you can head straight inside without wasting time in the long queues. As you follow your guide around the mighty amphitheater, learn how it is the largest of its kind in the world and hear tales of Roman emperors, fearless gladiators, and ferocious beasts as you gaze down over the arena floor.

After leaving the Colosseum, stroll through the Roman Forum, where the impressive ruins include temples, tombs, and public squares. Climb to the top of Capitoline Hill, one of Rome’s legendary Seven Hills, from where you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of Rome. Then, stop to snap photos of landmarks such as Piazza Venezia, Largo di Torre Argentina, and the Pantheon.

The final stop of the tour is Piazza Navona, once home to the ancient Stadium of Domitian, and now a lively hub of local life, dotted with beautiful fountains and terrace cafés.

Your tour ends in Piazza Navona.

Antiquity comes alive

Tour guide (Elisa?) was outstanding; informative with a light touch and relaxed humor as we digested a lot of information and covered quite a bit of territory at a brisk pace. Headphone system made it possible to hear every word.

All about the guide- Silvia was brilliant

Everything about this tour was perfect because Silvia was so knowledgeable and paced the tour just right. The 3 hours passed quickly and lots of walking (we are in our 70s) was no problem. The group was small (13 people) so we could ask her...More

Good tour

What a great set of monuments to visit! Nothings more iconic than the Colosseum and the rest of the tour was just icing on the cake. The guide Stephania was great, even when we got caught in a quick bought of rain, and was very...More

Difficulties hearing guide. Good tour though.

Very good tour. Found the guide (middle aged lady - didn't get her name) a little hard to understand and she was quite softly spoken. The headsets weren't much good either. However a good, interesting and comprehensive 3 hour tour. You need to be quite...More

Hard to understand

Our tour guide was very nice but her accent was very strong. You had to look at her really hard and read her lips to understand most of what she was saying. But she was very kind, so I do appreciate that.

Yes small bags and a water bottle ok. Also recommend bringing your own earphones. They do supply a cheap one for use on the day, but if you have your own the sound quality might be better.

The tour for this one does not go underground. Just on the first level and some of the upper levels.
