Overview

For visitors with a packed itinerary, this 1–hour Colosseum tour is a popular and convenient choice. Enjoy priority access with a pre-reserved skip-the-line admission ticket, which allows you to breeze past notoriously long entrance queues that can be up to hours long. Once inside, your guide provides a wealth of little-known fact and anecdotes about the gory games that once took place in the Colosseum's arena.

What to Expect

Perfect for anyone who is short on time, but still wants to experience Ancient Rome's most treasured monument, this tour will bring the majestic Colosseum to life and will leave you feeling like you spent the day there. Roman citizens would come from near and far to witness the spectacular and gruesome sights on offer. Never-before-seen exotic animals would occupy the arena floor before a day of executions and gladiatorial combats would begin.

Following your tour guides brief introduction from the exterior, filled with fun facts of Roman civilization, you will skip the long ticket lines and enter the Colosseum. Walking through the same arches used by Romans hundreds of years ago, up the same steps, you will feel the history as you walk through its corridors and steps. Imagine along with your tour guides stories what it would have felt like in ancient times.

Loved the Colosseum Tour

Despite the heat that day, the Colosseum was my favourite attraction in Rome. And the reason for that was our tour guide, Mircea. He was not only knowledgeable, but also engaging and entertaining. Instead of delivering the history of the Colosseum in a lecture-like manner...More

The guides made it

If you are looking for a good value, ignore the various 55+ euro offers to skip the line on your way to colosseum. Instead walk all the way to the building and get found by this group ! They made us a very reasonable offer...More

Yes once the tour is over you can stay on your own. If you do the second part of the tour which is included to Palatine Hill you will still have about an hour in between.
