Sign up for this tour ASAP! You’ll love it!
This may have been my favorite thing we did in Rome! Celiac safe and amazing experience with our guide. We explored 4 restaurants for each course and then the history along the way! It was fun to see a local Rome guide give us his impression of the sites and know where to get the best GF food and wine. We LOVED it and it was totally worth the money just to eat and learn about the Jewish Ghetto, where Julius Caesar was killed, Bernini fountains and more!

    Great Tour
Very good tour. Our guide almost gave us too much history. Only two stops where we got to sit down, so it was a long tour. Good way to try a dozen different foods. Hot in August! Best surprise was location of one stop was underground room from 52 BC!

    Excellent food tour of Italy
An excellent tour of the Jewish ghetto area. Maria was an excellent guide on this tour The food was amazing and plenty of it ranging from pizza to pasta and many starter dishes accompanied by wine and beer. Then we had dessert and coffee. We went to many different areas which I would not have visited if not for this tour . Highly recommend

    Outstanding experience and food!
We were initially disappointed that our guide became ill and we had to transfer to another tour (Jewish Ghetto), but all turned out wonderful!! Our guide Iliana was terrific as was our small group. The food was really outstanding and learning more about the history of Jews in Italy was invaluable. It was such an outstanding experience for me and my 20-something family members.

    Tour cancelled with no warning
Tour cancelled with no warning. Arrived and was told the tour was now 2hrs, but it should have been 4 hours. The tour wasn’t anything special, and for the amount we paid and what we received it wasn’t great. Communication was awful.

Great food and knowledgeable guide. I recommend taking the time to do this, in the beginning of your trip so that you can go back and visit the places that you see!

Amazing experience - a must do!
This is a must do if you go to Rome! It’s the perfect mix of history (just a little) plus amazing food and drink and a great way to get to know this part of the city. I’ve got to say that it was all down to our fantastic guide, Guilia, who was amazing. She was so considerate and organised but also really funny - she made our trip! We were joined with another really friendly group (9 of us in total) and it worked really well. All of the food and drink is delicious and it’s great value for money. Overall I can’t recommend this experience highly enough!

    Rich history and delicious food
Guila was a wonderful guide and host, sharing the important history of the Jewish Ghetto and the surrounding neighborhoods. We tasted dishes that were unique to the ghetto as well as other wonderful Italian cuisine. It is too bad we could not sample more of the restaurants that were in the ghetto, like the bakery. Overall the experience was enjoyable and we recommend it!

This tour was incredibly fun! We were in a smallish group (5 people) on a weekday, and it was great option for my first night in Rome as a solo traveler. The guide gave us a lot of really great information about the area of town we walked through including statues fountains etc. It was really cool! The food was all delicious and neat to learn a bit about the food. And you get plenty of the food (this can be your entire dinner/dessert for the evening). I'd absolutely recommend!

This was one of the best food tours I have been on! Simona was our food tour guide and she was absolutely amazing. My husband and I selected the smaller group tour and ended up getting upgraded. The group we were with was also wonderful, we all had a great time eating and socializing. Simona was very knowledgeable and gave us some inciteful information about the city as well. The food stops were delicious and great variety. Best was the tiramisu at two sizes and the gelato. If ever in Rome again I would redo this tour and request Simona! Thank you Simona for the wonderful experience and life long memories.

The tour was quite nice. We learned a lot about local Roman food. The guide had abundant local knowledge and made the tour fun. The restaurant where we sat down to eat pasta did not feel like a traditional Italian restaurant. It was more of a modern place and it was filled with other patrons speaking loudly, making it a bit difficult hear the guide speak. It was very warm in the restaurant, and our guide had to ask the owner to turn on the AC (which they did). The outside tour stops were just OK - one was on a busy alley where again, it was hard to hear the guide speak. Another stop was at a beautiful piazza, but there were vehicles/machines going by cleaning the piazza while we were there, so it was hard to hear the guide speaking. We took several tours while in Rome and this was the only tour where hearing the guide was an issue. Other than that, the food was excellent and we learned a lot. The tour was worth doing - the only suggested improvement would be that the tour operator considers stopping in quieter locations.
Thank you.

We had an amazing time. Maria our guide was excellent. She provided great information about the local area and spoken in detail about the delicious food we were eating. The Roman cuisine was unique and very enjoyable. Great pairing of wines with our samples. My favorite tasting was at the sit down restaurant where we had carbonara and pasta with mushrooms. During the tour we were able to learn about the history of the areas we were walking through. The tour was setup very well and the tasting of the food was great. The tour ended with my two other favorites, espresso and gelato.

What a great tour! We have found food tours to be a great way to introduce ourselves into a new travel experience, and this one was one of best we have taken. Greta was a perfect guide: fun, personable, and knowledgeable. Most all of the establishments we visited during our tour were same-family owned for hundreds of years. The pasta was especially memorable: carbonara, pesto, and caccio e pepe that are now the standards I will measure all pasta against always. It was that good, and now that I think of it we will go back for more! If you are visiting Rome, book this tour and ask for Greta!

Amazing way to learn about the city while enjoying local cuisine! Our tour guide Francesca was delightful and showed us all the hidden gems in the city. She was so passionate about the food and the city's history it was a pleasure listening to her. The selection of food gave us a great overview of typical Roman cuisine and the wine was amazing 😍

An excellent way to get a good overview of Roman food. Tourguide Greta was very friendly and took good care of the group. There were interesting stories about Rome and most importantly many visits to local establishments to taste delicious food. Greta seemed to know everyone at the restaurants personally and she was quick to come up with more stories to entertain us since there were some groups ahead of us and we had to wait to get our food.

The food tour was great fun.
We had a small group so Francesca could easily engage with everyone. She was very friendly and knowledgable, not only in Roman Food but the history of the area. She really made the tour for us!

Food stops; trial of cured meats and sheep cheese (trial of red wine), suppli, pasta dishes (glass of wine), tiramisu, gelato.

The cured meats, suppli and tiramisu were really great! It felt very authentic. However, the pasta restaurants did not feel like a traditional restaurant. Also, the option of trialling Roman pizza would have been great.

Overall it was a good local food tour and would recommend.

Outstanding! We went on this tour with our two teenagers. It started in the market, moved through appetizers, a sit down meal with wine and ended with desserts. We loved the places we went and went back to several of the places again over the rest of our trip.

It was nice to also be able to sit down at certain places to enjoy the food and drinks. The walking part helped us navigate around later and our guide gave us great recommendations of things to see and do.
