The trip was good, especially the Pilatus part. The view was amazing on top of the Pilatus, the boat ride on the Lucerne lake was very enjoyable. The guide was nice and informative. Down side-many of us on this tour felt there was not enough time (less than 1 hr) to enjoy the city of Lucerne.

The tour guides Valerie and Vladimir were always calm, cool and collected. They spoke 5 languages all fluently. Very impressive! The journey was quite enjoyable despite the unusual rains on the specific day. The only aspect we couldn’t do was the cable car, but that weather conditionality substitute was clearly stated at the time of booking. It was replaced by the cogwheel.
The Swiss people in Zurich are extremely helpful at every turn from airport to hotel to trips to groceries. I loved seeing and touching the snow. The ascent on the cogwheel was not rushed so no one fell ill.
There are beautiful 3 and 4D animations at Mount Pilatus.

Great experience! They took all of the worry out of every excursion. No need for grabbing tickets or waiting in major lines. I am from America and having an English guide was great. When at the top of the mountain I recommend getting in all the hikes then enjoying a small lunch from the snack bar! The hikes are better then trying to sit down for a meal.

Normand was our tour guide and he provided an informative, relaxing tour. The scenery was beautiful and the tour was well worth the money. This all-day tour included a scenic bus tour through the mountains from Zurich to Lucerne, time to walk around old town Lucerne, a gondola ride to the top of Mt. Pilatus, time to hike around Mt. Pilatus, a cogwheel train ride back down Mt. Pilatus, a lovely boat ride around Lake Lucerne, and a bus ride back to Zurich.

Truly incredible experience. Due to flight delays/ cancelations, I unfortunately only had 1 day in Zurich and this made me feel like I still got to see and do so much. From the bus ride, cable ride, train boat ride, and of course the views, everything was amazing.

The title pretty much summarizes it up. If you spare a day in Europe you may wanna check this out. You get to see a bit of everything, taste a bit of everything and experience the mountain side of Swtizerland. I feel like the summer is a good time because the cable cars may not operate due to bad weather or snowy weather. Therefore, if you go in the summer it wasn't actually that cold like I thought it would be.
Bring warm clothes with you just in case, relax, listen to the guide, enjoy the green views and experience Switzerland in a short amount of time to the limit.

This experience was truly the best !! It surpassed all of my expectations. The bus broke down in Lucerne but Rudolph still ensured we got to do everything on the itinerary. Vladimir was absolutely fantastic. He was so friendly and well educated about Lucerne. Rudolph took us to Pilatus and he was fun and ensured we had a great time. Thank you guys! You truly made my visit to Switzerland complete.

The Mount Pilatus day trip was an excellent way to spend a day outside of Zurich and see some beautiful areas of Switzerland. Eduardo was our tour guide for the day. I would highly recommend him. He is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and added so much to our trip. The trip was smooth, on schedule, and stress free. The views were incredible. My wife and I could not say enough good things about the tour. Thanks to Eduardo for making the day so memorable!

Absolutely wonderful experience during the Mount Pilatus tour. Vlad was the most knowledgeable, friendly, and super guide - my sister and I so enjoyed chatting with him and learning about the area. The actual trip was incredible and the scenery was fantastic. Highly recommend!

This was an excellent excursion! You get the country side, the mountain, the old town city and the lake. On top of it, Lars was an EXCELLENT guide. Timing felt right and just enough of guiding while also allowing your time to be independent of the group. Absolutely Recommend. Oh- and yes- all of the places you go and things you see, are gorgeous and worth it! Easy and doable day trip from Zurich. Enjoy!

Hello Jackie---I am planning to do the Mount Pilatus Summer Day Trip with another couple in 2 weeks on May 5, 2019, but not sure on a couple of things. Any answers and advise would be greatly appreciated! Where do we get the tour and is it better to stay overnight in Lake Lucerne or Zurich? I am guessing Lake Lucerne since it is a 9 hour tour. About Mount Pilatus and walking: You take to two gondola to get to the top. Before taking the second gondola, you can walk around and there is also a sledding park which we did not do. It looked interesting. Remember we went in Fall and it was very warm for that time of the year. We went to the top where you can walk around thru the mountain top, great scenery. You can also climb to very top by going up a ladder, which we did not do. We did see some people walking down the from the top but really, at the top, we did not do a lot of walking, just experiencing the beautiful views. There are gift shops and restaurant at the top. We took the cogwheel train down, which is a great experience. This was our best tour on our tour thru Europe.

With brisk walk and window shopping you would need at least 3 hours. I would prefer first Mt. Pilatus and then shopping.

Hello, we just visited Mt Pilatus 2 days ago and it was windy and chilli. There was still some chunks of snow at the top in certain places, so jacket or a very warm hoodie would be recommended.
