This boat is fully enclosed with no outside space to stand on. Taking pictures out of windows is near impossible. You are given a set of ear buds for an audiotour. The guide also shared info on the speaker system but it was such poor quality that we couldn’t make out what he was saying. I went on an evening cruise with another company and had a much better experience. Make sure you do your research. The 60 minute cruise wasn’t long enough to see very many canals.

Well you do get to see a lot of the city and a bit of history from the recorded tour in a bunch of languages. It is covered and heated which was need on the tour we took Feb 28. Overall you really don’t see much as the house boats and construction barges block a lot of the view . I would recommend sitting forward on the left side for a better view

Together with my friends we made a reservation online assuming ut was a cheaper way but it was the same price as you would pay at the boat. I was expecting the boat will spend more time in Joordan, but the boat went on the opposite side leaving Joordan out if the program. Having a canal cruise without going through Joordan is useless!

We made the mistake of buying the first boat trip we saw. If we had walked on a bit further we would have saved €5 per adult. The boat was full and we were squeezed in like sardines and the route we took didn't take us past any of the museums or places of interest. I've done other, better, boat tours of Amsterdam in the past.

This was an extremely disappointing tour. I wasn’t expecting 1st class seating of course, but I wasn’t expecting to be packed in like sardines either. (I’m 5’6” and 155 for a reference) They made sure every seat on our boat was taken which led to a very tight fit. I had the window seat. There are 3 seats on each side of the boat. I could barely move in my seat. So much so that my leg was falling asleep. Likewise, taking pictures was nearly impossible. The picture I posted was the only one I got through the glass. If you have a nice DLSR you won’t be able to get a lot of direct shots.
Speaking of taking pictures through the glass, assuming you don’t get a seat with an open window, the glass was not clean which made it difficult to see clearly in every direction.
Another issue, the headphones they give you are pretty cheap. I’m assuming they are disposable. Although I saw some customers grabbing headphones that weren’t sealed in plastic. There were many times when the audio didn’t line up with where the boat was in the tour.
I just can’t recommend this cruise for the reasons mentioned. I would be more than happy to spend extra money for a less crowded boat or a private tour. If you don’t want to spend for an upgraded tour you’re probably better off just renting a bike and following the canal as best you can. I kept wishing I was anywhere but that boat.

We were late by 10 minutes for the ferry and the operator charged us a $5/ticket change fee. This was ridiculously high, almost 40% of the ticket amount. It seemed to be their modus operandi and they did it to at least a couple other people along with me. This is when their ferry onboarding point is at least a fast 10 minutes walk from the tram drop off point and there’s no mention of the walk on the website at the time of the booking.
To top it all, we were allowed onboard on the ferry an hour earlier (6:30pm for a 7:30pm scheduled booking 🤷♂️).

Having paid for a cruise and given a time slot, we arrived about 5 minutes before the allocated time and joined the back of the queue only to be told when we got to the front that we’d missed our slot and would have to rebook another time slot.
We pointed out that this was because the queue had moved so slowly but were now told that we had to be there 15 minutes before our allotted time (this was on the small print on the ticket but not mentioned by the staff when the ticket was sold to us).
There was then an additional charge of €5 each for rebooking and if you wanted to simply have your ticket refunded you have to apply on line and it would be at least a week before the refund was issued.
Once on board there was a pre recorded audio guide via headphones where you could select one of 19 different languages but this was incredibly dull and uninformative

Although the purchasing of the ticket was easy, the tour itself wasn't very good. The queuing was fine but with no communication we were just hoarded on to sit wherever and families and friends were split up. The narrative kept repeating itself as well. The driver of the boat bumped into things three times too which jolted the whole boat.
Overall, there are better canal tours I've experienced in Amsterdam, I wouldn't recommend this one sadly.

The mic system was messing up on our cruise, so it was an audio headset only, which was a shame because our skipper seemed like an upbeat guy who likely would have made entertaining points. The audio was extremely garbled and difficult to understand. The points they made on the audio tour were bland and generic, and not nearly as memorable or interesting as another small boat tour we took later on our trip. The windows were scuffed and dirty and difficult to see out of. Skip this one, go for one of the smaller boat tours that meet by the Anne Frank house - nearly the same price but a much, much better experience.

My husband and I booked a 1 hour boat tour for Wednesday 28th September. We arrived 3 minutes late for our slot ( delays due to trams and first time visiting the city).
When arriving I spoke with the man on the ticket desk in the cafe. Apologised and explained the situation. He flat out refused to let us on another cruise that day. He said we would have to pay all over again. Very very rude and abrupt with us and many of the other customer's in front. We then spoke with the boat driver, who kindly had a heart and told us if we waited for the next boat. He would let us on if there was room.
Thankfully there was, very kind boat driver. When we bordered the boat the weather was terrible and very heavy rain. At least 4 rows of seats could not be used as soaking wet due to rain coming in through the roof covering which was damaged. We ended up sitting outside under the small covered area. The boat we were on clearly needed maintenance.
Would not book with this company again. Had we known would book one while there as alot cheaper companies with nicer boats. Thank goodness my young son was not with us, definitely do not recomend with young children.

Pick your own time.....the cruises leave very frequently, and some even have postings of departures. Don't worry about this issue, however, because there are departures every 15 minutes or so.....that's about the most time you would ever have to wait.
