Jose was a really great tour guide- from beginning to end.
He customised our itinerary to ensure we visited all the places important to us, and still added in a few quick stops along the way which were surprisingly beautiful and well worth detours (especially the most western point in Europe).

Highly recommended tour, great experience

I took this tour with Feliciano Pereira in February 2020. It was a private tour, pick up at my Lisbon Hotel was on time and were departed toward Sintra. Feliciano is an awesome tour guide and I highly recommend this tour with him. He took the scenic route to Sintra, provided a history of different moments and neighborhoods but mainly we stopped at 2 to 3 view points along the way. The views are simply breathtaking. Feliciano has a great knowledge base to make the tour interesting, easy to chat with and very friendly. I selected the Pena Palace as my main attraction on this trip and for the tour of the palace I was on my own. I had about 45 minutes to tour by myself. It is a self guided tour. There is a gift shop at the palace but I didn't find any small souvenirs here, so I moved on to the cafeteria to grab a sandwich before the ride back to Lisbon. Feliciano dropped me off at the gate to the palace and was waiting for me when I exited. We then stopped at the town of Sintra and walked through the quaint town, taking in another beautiful view point. We took the expressway back to Lisbon in time for dinner. I highly recommend this tour with Feliciano!

This was a great trip to Sintra which accomodated our half day timing. You really need a full day to do everything. We got to see the outsides of most of the main palaces. We managed to tour the Regalaira which was fascinating with its gardens and alcoves. Unfortunately no time for the Pena Palace

Our guide, Antonio, was very knowledgable and spoke perfect English.
He was able to personalise the tour for us, and we went to places that would only be possible with detailed local knowledge.
Our one reservation of this tour, was it seems that we received the companies worst van. While probably safe and reliable, It was old, smelt faintly of engine fumes, leaked water when it was raining, had broken window catches, a door that would not open from the inside. The van was clearly ready for retirement, and we would have rated this tour higher if it wasn't for the Van.
Antonio went over and above to ensure we had a good experience despite the problems with the van.

Antonio was a good guide. His English was very good and his knowledge of the Sintra area was also excellent. The van however was a clapped out very old VW van which had scraped paint work and a hole in the roof which had been patched. As it was raining when Antonio picked us up, my husband, who was sitting next to the window experienced a shower of rain onto his lap inside the van despite the window being shut. The tour was fun, thanks to Antonio, but the vehicle was a sad disappointment. It felt as though we were being driven to a lovely place (Sintra) in someone's old van which should have been retired years ago!

It was super nice and smooth. Our guide came exactly on time, informed us in advance which vehicles he would drive and where he would pick us. Even if we booked only half day tour, we stayed longer without being charged extra. We didn't know exactly what we want to see so our guide Nuno recommended us the best places,we saw two castles at Sintra (Pena Seteais - best ones!) and at sunset he took us to Cabo Roca. Everything was so beautiful. You can book them directly on their site.

We scheduled a half day tour to Sintra but when we met Jose Ribeiro, the guide and driver, we altered the plan to include many other places. It was an awesome experience and so much more than we anticipated. Definitely, 'private but personalized." We opted to use a 'buffet' type of tour instead of going into palaces, etc. so we could get a broader view of what the surroundings offered for possible future trips. Jose was so informed about so many topics, that the four hours flew by as we learned so much as we saw such beautiful sights such as Sintra (a short walkaround on our own), the Pena Palace, the National Forest, the furthest western point on the wild coast, the seside towns and casino, the 'Mouth of Hell' that we walked to and looked down into the roaring waters, and even a bit of Lisbon as we returned into town. If we return to the Lisbon area, we will seek out Jose again. He is unsurpassed in making special memories in our experience!

After a half day with Jose we felt like old friends! I can't recommend his tour enough. We decided to let him call the shots and we ended up learning so much more than we expected and saw some unforgettable sights! Well worth the price!

Unfortunately, we did not have a full day to dedicate to Sintra, but we had an amazing half day trip with Ramiro! Not only was he a great driver, but he was extremely knowledgeable about the different castles and sights. Because of our time constraints, he recommended we visit the outside of Palacio Nacional da Pena and Parque de Pena, Sintra city center, the Quinta da Regaleira, and Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Mainland Europe. This tour was only supposed to be four hours long, but it was almost six hours and could have easily gone longer if we did not have to be back in Lisbon for a sunset cruise! Ramiro was extremely friendly and kind, and even brought us the local delicacy of Sintra to try- the travesseiros! It was beyond delicious. We had the best day and highly recommend Ramiro!!
