We spent the afternoon of January 2023 getting a private tour with Sayed. We had 4 people- myself, husband and adult children. He had extensive knowledge of the history, art, and architecture of not only the palace and museum but also the surrounding area. He asked us if we wanted the leisurely (longer) tour with more detail or if we had somewhere to be in exactly 2 hours. We said we had lots of time and I am glad we did.
He brought us through and gave us such interesting information and stories. Many we will never forget.
The grounds are huge and could be overwhelming but Sayed walked us through and pointed out the most interesting objects. He also made sure we took time to understand the history and why it was important and went out of his way to make connections to us personally where
After we left, he took us through quiet back streets and into a church. It was just off the bustling square but felt like we were miles away.
He then left us at a quiet out of the way Viennese cafe so that we could enjoy the same experience people were getting at the popular one with a huge line.
From a booking perspective, not only was the process easy but the company sent multiple reminders including a detailed email with where to meet, what our guide’s name was, and his phone number just in case. It made what could have been a daunting experience easy.
I would highly suggest booking with this company and asking for Sayed.

A MUST visit when in Vienna. Architecturally, the museum is absolutely stunning. It is also reasonably priced, costing less than £20 for entry. There are free toilets available and also free lockers to store bags and jackets. Each exhibit is laid out beautifully and has both German and English descriptions. I particularly enjoyed seeing the works of Bruegel the elder and Caravaggio. If you enjoy art and history, I recommend visiting.

As a Belgian this museum is a must do as it contains one of the most impressive collections of Flemish and Dutch painters in the world. Especially the Breughel room is art at its best. Some of the legendary paintings that were shown to me in school were available here. The Greco-Roman and Egyptian parts of the museum were a bit dull to be honest, especially compared to other museums like the Pergamon museum. The coin collection at the upper floor is only for the real art fans. The collection of Italian and French paintings is also downright impressive, but didn't appeal to me as much as the Flemish and Dutch paintings. The price of admission is a bit steep imo, but the building itself is also a tour de force of architecture and worthwile the price. I stayed here for three hours, but you can lose yourself an entire day here.

This is a review for the ticket, not the museum itself. Museum is a must see.
We visited museum in July so at busy tourist season however there was no line at all, so "skip the line" might not be even necessary here. But the voucher you receive is not a ticket - it took me twice as long to get into the museum than buying a ticket at the door. You have to go to their counter in the museum to exchange the voucher for the ticket. They cannot even scan the barcode on the voucher, I had to email it to their service email to receive an actual ticket.

It is a huge collection exhibited in three floors, one contains coins, the other one paintings of German/Dutch/French/Italian artists and the third one with sculptures and ceramics of ancient greeks and egyptians. It is well worth a visit and the good part is that there are many benches inside to sit and observe the artworks. The audio guide is also recomended for this museum becuase it gives new perspectives on what you see.

The Kunsthistorisches Museum or the Museum of Fine Arts Vienna was my second best choice after Albertina museum for art exploring experiences in Vienna. The building of the Fine Arts Museum is impressive, holds on a lot of history constructed between 1871 and 1891. The grand stairway features paintings by Gustav Klimt, Ernst Klimt, Franz Matsch, Hans Makart. Entrance ticket: 18EUR.

This review is not for the museum but for the ticket paid through this site. Not only it wasn't "Skip the Line" as advertised, but I ended up waiting in line twice: once to enter the museum, and once to exchange the ticket for a real museum ticket.
Nowhere here it said that what you receive when reserving and paying through this site is not the actual ticket.
The museum is amazing, and I would highly recommend. However, buy your ticket once you get there so you do not end up waiting in line twice.

You go because you would like to see some classic pieces, to be provoked and educated, to which this place delivers far beyond. Take your time and savour the museum building as it's as much as the artefacts. We had a teenager and she simply loved it.

What an incredible museum! We loved the cafe too with tortes and hot chocolates. The paintings from the Habsburg collection are a wonder to behold- especially interesting were the paintings of the royal family. The Bruegel collection was magnificent.

Wow, one of the most comprehensive exhibitions I have ever seen in the world. We were a group of five friends all interested in history and spent inside over three hours and still didn't see everything. I think the best way would be to visit this museum twice. We have to come back.

Hi, I am bringing my fourteen year old Grandson in April and would like to book a private tour? I have read the reviews and was advised to ask for Sayed to lead us around, would that be possible? If so how much does a private tour cost?
Thank you for any advise.

You may stay as much as You like during the visiting hours, of course. I recommend you to reserve more than 1 hour from your time for this tour, as there are many rooms to visit with amazing objects/artefacts and paintings.
