Our host Kasey was a local with a knowledgeable background of the history, architecture, politics, culture, and the religion of the Maldives. We visited many historical places and our host was rich in commentary of the places we saw. We were able to engage in sobering discussions about the islands past, present and the possibilities in the future of the island. We were privileged to be taken to see many lovely sights including a beautiful historic mosque many hundreds of years old (we were touched by the spiritual energy in this mosque), a beautiful park and so much more. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in an intelligent, sensitive and interactive tour .

The resort was friendly as well as beautiful and had the best reef we saw for our whole trip. All pick ups and transfers were on time and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for the Secret Paradise team. I recommend Ruth and the team very highly.

Despite being a rainy day, Rumaey as a great guide and we had a good time. We saw and learned a lot about local life. The markets were really interesting and we got to taste some local specialities. We had a break at a local cafe and had an awesome passion fruit drink. So refreshing. Rumi had another guide with ( so sorry I can’t get the name correct) who gave us a lot of history. We even went to their Monetary authority and saw the collections of local currency. Well worth doing this trip if you are having a stop in Male before going to / returning from a resort.

North Male Island hopping Tour with Ub was absolutely amazing! Ub is a superb guide and is full of information and knowledge about the islands. From start to finish was fabulous, lunch, snorkeling etc etc. I would 100% recommend Secret Paradise Maldives for an adventure.

Rumey was a great tour guide! I did not really know much about Male and the Maldives before coming here but she helped me understand some of the history and significance of the islands!

We have just returned from an island hopping holiday organised by Secret Paradise and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Ruth and the team offered a faultless service from literally the moment we arrived at the airport to the moment we left the airport. The guides are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly and having their help to get boats and taxis made it a stress free experience. We also did a tour of Vilimale island next to Male, our guide Kamey was absolutely brilliant and a massive hit with our kids as well. the tour was in conjunction with the local conservation NGO and we really learned alot about conservation issues in the Maldives. All in all a fantastic experience and service from Secret Paradise!

From the first contacts with Ruth Franklin at Secret Paradise Maldives to the conclusion of the trip everything was well organized and managed. The precise pre-departure information, as well as the accommodation in Guest House Island Luxury Dive Hotel on Fulhadhoo were perfect for my trip. All the people involved at the airport, Rumey immediately welcoming, as well as the other people on the Island, Mathyn, Ishara, Shameem, and all those whose names I cannot remember were kind and helpful. The room clean, neat, breakfast excellent as was the restaurant proposal. Defitely to recommend for unforgettable days at Maldives!

Secret Paradise Maldives are fantastic, from pre trip communications via Ruth, to pick up to return to the Airport, they cannot be faulted. This was a truly wonderful experience. Our trip with Secret Paradise was exactly that, Paradise, which exceeded our expectations at every level, both when it came to the expected and unexpected. The staff Kamey and Shark (our tour leaders) and the rest of the team and crew are second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and your needs are considered at every step. The food was healthy, tasty and fresh. BBQ night was a real treat and the Maldivian theme night was an absolute joy to be part of. The Felicity is a working conservation boat, with most of the staff/crew engaged in surveying, on this occasion, Turtles, as part of the Olive Ridley Project. We were never at any point ever made to feel in the way and close care and attention was given to our safety at all times when getting on and off the boat(s) and snorkeling, which had to be said, was magical. We had trips to some of the islands which gave you a feel for day to day life and the challenges faced by local people on islands where populations are low. The on board talks were really informative and helpful in understanding the precarious position of the world's Turtles and indeed Marine life as a whole in the islands. This was without doubt a trip of a lifetime - thank you Secret Paradise. Tips - the Maldives is a Muslim country and this is observed and respected on the boat. It is also hot. Light swim shorts or rash shorts/trousers and vests are essential. Also, take a UV swim cap or similar to prevent sunburn on your head when snorkeling. It is worth getting a properly fitted snorkel, it will make all the difference to your snorkeling experience. Flippers are provided.

This was a great tour - informative and varied. Well worth doing. Our guide Nafsha was terrific from pick up to return to our hotel, she tailored the tour to us perfectly. It's hot and humid in Male, so if you do this tour hat, loose clothing, water and comfortable shores you can slip off are a must (shoes are not worn in Mosques and some shops). If you want to go into the Mosque, a headscarf will be provided if you don't have one.

Guide is patient and willing to extend introduction based on my questions. The journey is well designed and see almost everything key spots in the city.

I can't recommend Secret Paradise highly enough. We did two walking tours with them, the 4 hour Male walking tour at the start of our trip, and the 4 hour Villimale Eco Tour at the end of our trip. Both were absolutely fantastic. Ub was our guide on Villimale, along with Bebe from Save the Beach. This was a fantastic and eye opening experience which we're so glad we did. The banter between the two of them was great and they made us feel like friends as soon as we met them. HIGHLY recommend if you're thinking of doing any tours while in the Male area to book with Secret Paradise. Our experience on the tours was fantastic.

It was interesting to get a feeling of how people live in this city. We were also given historical information as well as religious history of the locals. We also visited the vegetable market and fish market. The tuna were huge. We had a wonderful time and this tour could have been longer.

On the Male' city tour, you will get a great walking tour with a lot of history. There is a good mix of historical and modern Male' with a friendly and knowledgeable guide who loves the city and country. I don't remember his name, but he was a great tour guide. The park was great, and the houses were beautiful!! Very strongly recommended!
