Beautiful waterfalls
Sep 2021
A wonderful day out viewing amazing termite mounds and then on to 3 separate waterfalls, the first being Florence Falls, well worth the walk down the steps to view.
(you can swim there too ) and then take the walking trail for a scenic walk back to the bus. Next stop was Tolmer Falls, this one is for viewing only, a bit underwhelming as there was not much water flowing. We then stopped at Wangi Falls, again you can swim here or just take in the amazing view. Our lunch stop was very nice with a good array of cold meats, salads etc and you can get a beer or a wine if you want.
We then headed back to Darwin, stopping at the Howard Springs Nature Park to view Barramundi being hand fed.
A highly recommended tour, the only issue we had was as the tour bus picks you up so early we had no breakfast as we got told there would be a morning stop in Batchelor where you can buy something for breakfast. The place we did stop at did not offer anything other than cake at $3 a slice or biscuits and coffee/tea at $4 a cup and you had to make it yourself! Not sure of why we would stop at such a run down place when we passed a road house in Batchelor that would of had something more substantial to eat. So if you ask your hotel the night before they will provide you with a breakfast box that you can pick up before getting on the bus.

Our amazing visit to Litchfield National Park!
Aug 2021
Yesterday we went on this tour with our driver Shane and 11 other people from WA, SA and QLD. What a wonderful 10 hours it was. Amazing waterfalls, termite mounds and countryside to see. Shane was so knowledgeable about all things Northern Territory.
Add this to your list of tours if you are in Darwin and hopefully you will get Shane as driver/ guide too.

Relaxing day yet lots to see!
Pick up was on time at our hotel. Shane was a great driver - a local who knows the area and can speak to the places we visited. Swim stop was great - have a dip it’s worth it. All the stops were great. Yes some of the places were expensive for a snack but it is remote NT! Thoroughly enjoyed. Lunch stop was cold meats and salad. Tea, coffee and water included. They only take cash for extra drinks (soft drink, alcohol). The coach was great - so comfortable, a/c, USB ports for charging if you needed it (I felt sorry for people we saw on mini buses along the way!). Pretty cruisy day but you also get a lot packed in. Highly recommend.

Shane was great
Great tour to Litchfield, Shane was a great driver & tour guide, perfect mix of knowledge & fun facts & jokes. Good basic lunch, great waterfalls….relatively access but need to be able to walk on unstable surfaces for Florence Falls recommend water boots for easy access.

3x waterfalls & swim, overall only average daytrip
Jun 2021 • Solo
This is all day 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. out of/into Darwin bus trip to Litchfield. If you are a waterfall spotter you go to Florence falls first. 134 steps down to valley floor on well made steel staircase which spreads out the effort. Usual slippery rock entry/exit to plunge pool at falls, but very good steel steps into pool make this easier. Stop off at 6m. high termite mound, also Banyan Tree cafe at 10 a.m. if you want to queue with 50 people for a coffee😛 also visit Tolmer & Wangi Falls, but vulnerable bat habitat at Wangi mean no closer. Lunch was very standard cold meat and salad so not fancy. Howard Springs nature reserve visited on way back but very basic as only one large pond with a couple of very big Barra for feeding. Other operator trips out here include Jumping Crocs which make this only average value. However coach very comfortable and driver Shane had right mix of good information and humour.

Terrifying Bus Ride with driver breaking the law
May 2021
The tour itself was beautiful. Lovely scenery and amazing sights. Our tour guide however was horrendous. Very poor English. He had very bad BO. Those things you could almost look past, but he was READING information about the area while driving. this caused him to veer all over the road. It was terrifying!! Not to mention breaking the law.
We also didn't get enough information about the tour before hand. We needed cash to buy drinks at lunch, but were only told about that about two minutes before arriving at lunch, rather than before we left Darwin.
There was not guided bush walk as promised.

Disappointing Tour
Review of Litchfield National Park Day Tour from Darwin
Reviewed 1 week ago
I was so disappointed in this trip. I had many fond memories of a similar trip with my sister and was keen to share it with my husband. First of all the pick up was chaotic. Don't request passengers to confirm if 1300 number never answered. We were last on the bus so at the back of the bus. Someone has to sit there but the trouble was the PA system did not reach that far. Coupled with the fact that the driver, a lovely young man, had a very strong accent and we understood none of the commentary. At Florence Falls his instructions were unclear and a group of us took the wrong track which meant we were unable to go swimming, had to walk up the 135 stairs and could easily become lost as another group nearly did. Very disappointing. However the lunch at the cafe was delicious. They certainly know how to serve a lot of people good food in quick time. The mango cheesecake lived up to its name as well.
