Thursday. 19 February, 1942. World War II reaches mainland Australia and the northern city of Darwin is bombed. Move forward to today and it’s Thursday, when your guide will take you back to that WWII era on a 2-hour walk through the historic quarter of the city. Hear stories of that fateful day as you meander past historic buildings of the time that have been re-built to provide lasting memories of life in the north during the War.
We walk on pathways, gardens and cross a number of streets. Commentary is usually given in a shady location for everyone's comfort and the stroll through the streets of Darwin is leisurely.

Camera, sunscreen, hat and water. Good enclosed non-slip walking shoes are recommended.
