Enjoy morning pickup and easy access to the Daintree Rainforest are two of the most compelling aspects of this tour, which includes round-trip transportation from Cairns, Port Douglas, or the Northern Beaches. Climb aboard the coach and relax on the way to the rain forest, where you'll arrive at Cooya Beach to meet your guide, a native from the Kubirri Warra aboriginal community.
Walk through the forest with your guide to learn about how to find food, medicinal herbs, and observe techniques for spear-handling and tracking fish. You may even get a lesson on how to play the didgeridoo or handle traditional aboriginal tools before a break to relax on the family’s porch with morning tea. Snack on damper (bread cooked on the campfire), fresh-caught seafood, and tea or coffee.
Head over to Mossman Gorge for a welcome ceremony by the local landowners and then visit the Mossman Gorge Centre to see aboriginal art and have lunch.
Afternoon activities include two options: a rain forest walk with an Aboriginal guide or a hike to a local swimming hole that is off-limits to most visitors.
End your tour with drop-off at your hotel back in the Cairns area.
