MUST VISIT!!
This is a must visit on your trip to Albany, my kids were a little apprehensive but were soon immersed in the history and stories presented. The individual story cards were intriguing and provided a personal story to history. Very engaging and interactive. The best part was the stories made us want to know more... and visiting the Fort Store provided many book titles and characters that we will be looking up in our local Library when we get home.
Sorry no photos of the breathtaking view (my teenager was too busy snapchatting the view for me to retrieve my phone!)

Beautiful Tribute to our Fallen Heroes
What a magnificent structure and tribute to those amazing men and women who fought to protect Australia in WW1.
On entry, each visitor receives a card with the name and photo of a soldier who fought in the war. You can follow this soldier and find out what happened to him.
The museum is amazing. Not only are there the photos and stories of WW1 but audio of particular recounts from varied perspectives.
The Centre has been designed so that these huge glass walls look out on the very place the ships set sail.
An amazing bit of architecture and an incredible tribute. Well worth a visit if you are ever in Albany.

Truly spectacular
The national Anzac centre in Albany is one of the best insights into world war 1. The experience is mesmerising and really takes you into the shoes of one soldier in particular. Each person who goes through the centre chooses a card of a soldier and learns about their encounters through the war. It is very interesting, emotional and educational.
Convoy lookout has the most breathtaking views and gives you an image of where the boats set off to war. It makes you feel proud as well. Definitely number 1 attraction in Albany.

Great Visit.
May 2021 • Couples
Very informative and sobering visit. Worth the admission, despite what other posts may say. So much history and detail around the Gallipoli, Palestine and European stages for the ANZAC campaigns.

Compelling viewing for all ages, to really remind us how lucky we are.

Fortunate to visit on a stormy day; the building rocked with the gusts of wind, and gave the feeling of being on a ship.

Picked the wrong day
Apr 2021
Don’t go on a rainy day, to many irresponsible parents with children who let them run wild and treat it as a theme park.
Others who didn’t run wild were screaming their heads off bored or slashing their hands in the pool of reflections.
What I did manage to listen too was very interesting, Would I go back, only on a hot day when the darlings are at school or at the beach.

Tribute to the ANZAC
What a beautiful way to pay respect and say thank you to those who have and continue to serve our country

This memorial is a lovely! It provides a lot of Information to ensure future generations continue the legacy of the ANZACs. It combines exhibits with interactive displays.

When you go in you are provided with a radio which you can press at a lot of exhibits to hear real life stories of what it was like back in the war. Hear stories to home, about the first day and what it was like to return home.

You are also given a card of a person who you follow their journey from enrolment to their outcome - it makes it a lot more personal.

There is a beautiful spot to sit a reflect which overlooks the bay in Albany

The whole place is great with the convoy walk and lookout to the old trenches and canons on display.

By far the best thing we did in Albany!!!

Plenty of parking onsite and $25 per adult (for whole day)

There is a store and cafe onsite for any needed purchases

A very emotional experience. You receive a card with a soldier's name and are able to follow his journey through WW1.
We are so lucky to experience the freedom we have thanks to the bravery of these tough men.
