Prague in 1 day sightseeing tour
Dec 2019 • Family
Really enjoyed the Prague in a day tour. It was great for getting our bearings and knowing where all the best parts where. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone not fit for a lot off walking.

A bit costly for what you get.
This was my third guided tour I've taken while on my solo trip to Europe, and it was the one I enjoyed the least. The weather wasn't very favorable, so that could have played a part of my view of things but I should have read the reviews more closely before I booked this tour. The biggest complaint I have is that this tour is multi-ligual. Although I choose English, there was also another maguage mixed in which makes it a bit difficult to follow.

The first hour is by van, which will speedily head to Prauge Castle. During the ride the guide will talk about various places as you get a quick glance at them while you speed on ahead. Again, since the tour was not English only, I found my mind wondering and unfocused. Once you arrive to Prauge Castle, then the walking part of the tour begins. The majority of the time will be focused here. Yes, the place is huge and requires time, but that could be done on your own time as I HIGHLY recommend that if you're going to go through the trek of getting in there, you should be also buying tickets to see the many parts of the place.

After the castle, we spent abiut another hour walking toward Prague Square, and ended at the Astronomical Clock. The entire tour was about three hours. Honestly, I don't think I followed anything the guide said. When the tour was done I raced back to Prague Castle so I can really enjoy what it has to offer (it was not going to be open the next day and that was my last full day in Prague).

What I recommend is a good tour book or something to follow on your smartphone. Many sites are within close proximity to each other and walking around is a breeze. And the city's public transportation network is not bad, although a bit crowded.

I do not blame the guide for the shortcomings. This is how the tour was designed and it's how he has to do it. I've had similar tours which were cheaper and included many more highlights. Honestly, I think I'm done with taking these tours. The hassle of getting to them just for an underwhelming experience is disheartening. With smartphones, being able to explore on your own is very easy.

Presentation was a disaster
Oct 2018 • Solo
We drove around in a van for an hour and couldn't really see anything until we got out and walked around. The guide seemed very disinterested in what he was doing and saying. Once we got out the van and walked around, the scenery was of course wonderful, but he talked so fast and quiet through it all, that I'm not sure anyone could hear him most of the time and our group was less than 10 so it wasn't a crowd issue. My suggestions would be to 1) have a better vehicle that we can actually see out of, and 2) Get a much happier guide with a microphone.

Terrible waste of time!
It is a complete lie that you see the Jewish quarter! You sit on a van for an hour and drive so fast you can't take a photo or even see what the guide is talking about! The guide spoke so quietly no one could hear him the whole time! He took us to the castle but we went in the afternoon and there was no line anyone. Everything you could pay to do and see we skipped. The whole tour was people over 60 years old except me. It was an awful waste of time and money and I learned nothing because the guide was terrible!

Great value
Aug 2018
Bought the 48hour pass and it was great for getting around and seeing all the sights. My friend and I were staying in a hotel away from the old town but the bus picked us up around the corner from where we were staying and with it being so hot it really made our holiday being able to get on and off as we liked.

Mixed two languages didn't work
Aug 2018 • Solo
First: No greetings, no presentation of the guide, the driver, what we'll see, nor duration and that the bus transport is a very short part of the tour. Most of the time we walked.
Then: The poor guide had a mixed group of English and Spanish speaking tourists. That must have been completely worthless for the Spanish, as the sights we were shown were long time passed when the Spanish translation came.
The guide was difficult to understand sometimes as it sounded somewhat robotic at times. Again, probably because he should manage two different languages.

Very enjoyable but a lot of walking
In the “What To Expect” and “Overview” sections, this is called a 3.5 hour coach tour. I have 2 knee replacements so chose this instead of a walking tour. In fact this is 1 hour by coach and 2.5 hours walking. I’m glad I did it and really enjoyed it (and am delighted my knees held out) but it really should be made clearer how much walking there is. (I found reference to the walking part when I was re-reading before writing this review, but I really believe it should be mentioned more prominently).

Excellent tour!
May 2018 • Couples
If you are looking for an overview of all Prague has to offer, this is the perfect tour. You do need to enjoy walking, as there is 1 hour on the bus and 2 1/2 hours walking. However, there are stops along the way to rest, buy water, and enjoy the guide’s commentary, so the time seems to fly by. Our tour guide, Helen, was wonderful. She was passionate about her city, very informed, patient with questions, and she had a great sense of humor. If we could give her 10 stars, we would!

We saw a lot of interesting places during this city tour, which covered the most famous sights of Prague. Our guide enlightened us, during the whole tour, full of curious facts.
