- A visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau can prove traumatic, therefore we recommend that visitors were at least 14 years old. No age limitation applies in Oskar Schindler Factory.

- In Auschwitz Birkenau your carry-on cannot exceed the dimensions of 30 x 20 x 10 cm.

Booked airport transfer and my trip from the UK, great communication, no problems.
Upon arrival at the airport there was no representative to meet is. We waited a while before contacting the company. They were helpful and explained that I had not confirmed the airport transfer prior to travelling, a mistake on my part.
However they arranged transport straight away and a vehicle was there within fifteen minutes, thanks.
Our driver for the visit to Auschwitz was Peter, he was excellent. A friendly and sociable person, I enjoyed talking to him about different things, it certainly made the journey more enjoyable.
Upon arrival at Auschwitz he sorted out the tickets and we carried on with the tour.
On the way to Birkenau he took to the Judenrampe, this was not something that was included in the organised tour so that was appreciated.
Upon completion of the Birkenau tour he took us back to Krakow for the Schindler factory tour, a very full, but interesting day.
On our last day we had transport back to the airport, it was punctual and we arrived in plenty of time.
I recommend Krakow Direct tours for all of your transport needs, the vehicles are clean, comfortable and the drivers are great.

Stayed at the fabulous Puro Hotel in Kazimierz and had booked a tour with Krakow Direct prior to leaving home.
From start to finish we received the highest and friendliest of service.
Thomas was our driver on 29th February and we were picked up from and dropped off back to our hotel.
Not only was Thomasz the nicest and friendliest person, he was also so knowledgeable.
He stayed with the bus and made sure we all met our guides etc.. we were also able to leave any personal possessions with him, safe in the knowledge that they would be carefully looked after.
Thomasz also ensured that everyone was comfortable during our journey and regularly checked throughout the day.
I would highly recommend this firm.

I was very pleased with the service from Kraków Tours, I booked online before we arrived in Kraków this was a 21st birthday jaunt for my son.
I booked the private pick up from our hotel which was excellent, I also cannot emphasise how good our guide for the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour was, she was very knowledgable and informative.
Once finished at Birkenau our driver as part of the package drove us to the Schindler factory tour, we were fortunate enough to be the only two booked on our tour and were also blessed with another knowledgable and informative guide.
Once we were finished our driver returned us to our hotel.
All in all an exceptional experience and one I would highly recommend.

Our friends did this tour with Peter in January and had such a great experience that they recommend this company to us. Sadly we didn’t have the same experience or driver. The tours around Auschwitz and Birkenau felt rushed, lots missed out at both sites that other groups were seeing- wooden huts etc. No time to take it in or look at the exhibits. We ended up being a large group of 24 with no social distancing. Our driver was Simon, nice but silent and didn’t know the answers to any questions and just said ‘ask the guide’.
The guide and tour at Schindler’s factory tour was amazing. Very knowledgable and made the tour really interesting. Saved the day really.

Thank you for making us aware of the issue. We are extremely sorry that you were not satisfied with the tour. Unfortunately, the only authority to provide guided tours at the camps is the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, so we do not have any influence on sightseeing routes during regular tours.
The Camps are the most popular tourist attraction in Poland so guides' schedules are very busy and the number of visitors per day is massive. Guides need to speak quite rapidly in order not to keep other groups blocked on the sightseeing route.
If it comes to the driver, we will discuss with him about this tour and ask to be more focus on Customers' questions

We were collected on time by Thomas from our hotel and taken to Auschwitz then to Schindler’s factory. Our guide was very informative and very helpful in dropping us off close to the main square so we could watch the match. Each event was stress free thanks to good organisation. Would definitely use again.

Very emotional day , you need good walking shoes ground very uneven it was raining so lots of puddles long day walking , a lot of waiting around , lots of places to buy drinks and snacks , we took ours with us bought hot drinks there , no negatives only helping with attire and warning of long day , It was more than worth it ,but be prepared I had studied the history but was still shocked and upset

My 13-year old son and I had a full day tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau and Schindler’s Factory with Peter last week. We were so impressed with Krakow Direct from start to finish! Natalia’s communication was friendly and clear and she was so helpful in finding a way (schedule-wise with short notice) for my son and me to do a private tour one day and my husband to do a group tour another day. Peter was our driver and he was prompt, really courteous and thoughtful (even picking up some lunch for us to save time and allow us a quick bite to eat between Auschwitz and Birkenau...and showing us some interesting sights that we wouldn't have otherwise seen). He also made reservations for us to have a quick meal later in the day next to Schindler’s Factory when we had an hour break. He was very communicative about what to expect for the day and shared SO much knowledge with us about Polish history and culture. The subject material was horrific and heavy but our experience with Krakow Direct and Peter as our guide couldn’t have been better.

Where to begin - Direct Krakow was AMAZING. Our tour guide was safe with transportation - picked us up from the front door, was early! Kept us entertained and very knowledgeable. We started the day with Auschwitz, which in itself is an experience. VERY emotional tour but absolutely worth it. So much history to be learned and walking in the victims and survivors footsteps is unimaginable, unforgettable. Next, we were taken to the Oskar Schlinder Factory where our tour guide waited until it was over for us to be dropped back off at home. We had actually added this tour last minute and Direct Krakow was very understanding and accommodating - very appreciated. The only thing - is be prepared with payment. Make sure if you are paying online in advance that the transaction actually gets processed. We had booked our Auschwitz months in advance and were told the day of that we had a remaining balance. Highly recommended to use Direct Krakow - I can't think of a better tour company!

The day is along one starting with collection from our Hotel at 9.20 greeted by Yarek our driver and Catarina our English speaking Guide. On the way to Auschwitz-Birkenau we were shown a film relating to our destination which was very informative. We thought we knew the History but it soon became apparent that what we knew only scratched the surface.
Auschwitz-Berkeneu is stunning and giving time to process your day will be important. Catarina was an outstanding guide.. the respect shown by her to the events was very moving.
We had 10 minute break before going into Camp 1 and another after before a 5 minutes journey to Camp 2. Ensure you have lunch with you as you'll have enough time for the loo only. We visited in February so warm clothing was essential along with comfortable footwear.
Once done we made our way by minibus to Oskar Schindlers Factory and then back to our Hotel around 6pm.
Again... give yourself time to process all that you have seen, heard and felt. We as a family felt different things and became emotional at different points but... we all came away with an overwhelming respect for those who chose to preserve Auschwitz-Berkeneu and educate to ensure those that passed through the gates are never forgotten.......... Mind blowing

I could not recommend this company enough, so professional. We booked the airport pickup / collection along with the tour. Drivers and tour guide were friendly and always on time. The tour I would highly recommend, a very sad piece of history. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. An excellent service x

we are coming to Krakow for the sole purpose of seeing auschwitz/birkenau. we want to spend as much time there as possible and not be rushed. it seems you spend a full 4 hours there, is that correct?

Hi!
I can’t remember exactly how long we spent between the two camps, but it definitely didn’t feel rushed (to us). The only way to see the camps is to be put with a tour group (your driver won’t be your tour guide) who then walks the group through the camps while explaining what you’re seeing. During some of it, I was wishing I could stop and look more at the pictures on the walls, etc. but this is a function of the camps themselves (as opposed to Krakow Direct). Hope that helps!
