This tour was fantastic. This was a birthday outing for my boyfriend and we had a fabulous time. Our tour guide Lydia knew a ton about the history of Georgetown! The food choices were amazing so come hungry!!! The group size was the perfect size so it was a very personable/intimate. I'd highly recommend it as a date or even a friends outing.

I also wanted to point out that we were a little late and the communication from Dave (&Lydia) was top tier. We were directed to the best place to park so we were not dealing with the street parking hassle & made it to the first food stop with no problems.

Definitely do it

Our guide Marsha was delightful. Knowledgeable, congenial, and funny. The walking tour was a great history lesson on Georgetown, its architecture, and its famous people. The food was great. The only improvement would be better seating, at tables in some stops.

My husband and I had so much fun. Although it was raining the tour guide Lydia was super accommodating offering every item available to keep us dry. The food stops were diversed and awesome!!! Definitely take this tour if you’re around the area and want something fun to do. We all need food on a daily so why not?

Filled with good food and a side of local history
Oct 2021 • Couples
We had the perfect weather for this easy walking tour around the neighborhood. It was fun to learn some local history and enjoy some delicious foods. The guide, Shannon, made it personal and conveyed her pleasure in sharing historical tidbits and local cuisine. Thanks to Dave for ensuring foods were perfectly timed for our arrival.

It Felt Like Walking Around With a Friend
Mar 2020
I've been on a lot of food tours all over the world, and this is definitely one of the best. Our guide was Dave, and he was fun and knowledgeable. I loved that he had a personal connection with a lot of the shop owners/employees, so it truly felt like we were getting a special and personal visit at each stop. There was a nice variety of food items, and it seems like each location was chosen with purpose. Perhaps this is the glutton in me, but I felt that this tour didn't have quite as much food as some others I've been on. Other than that, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great way to eat and explore like a local.

Georgetown: Extremely Excellent
Jun 2019
Walking food tours are one of my "must do" in every new city I travel to, and so I've done several: Chicago, London, Florence, Dublin--this one in Georgetown is the one I have done in DC and it is truly how I judge all other tours I've done and I recommend it to literally everyone who visits my city (I'm local and I took this tour and it was worth every penny).

Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, brought bottled water for everyone because it was a warm day, was a blast to hangout and talk with all day, and has selected a number of true local gems (that have since become local favorites of mine).

All of the food is delicious, unique, there's a good blend of meat and vegetarian options, and Mangia was very helpful in arranging non-alcoholic options ahead of time for our guest who does not drink.

On top of that, the history of the neighborhood really made this tour one of the best I've ever been on! I learned so many interesting things and got to walk in a beautiful neighborhood and eat great food. Literally a perfect DC day. I can't wait to go on all of Mangia's tours!
