Head for the northern shoreline, cruising over the knife-thin ridges of the rugged West Maui Mountains, listening, via two-way headset, to your pilot shed light on the region’s history and geology. See the Wall of Tears waterfall with its 17 cascading falls, and the 1,100-foot (335-meter) Honokohau Falls, Maui's tallest waterfall. Soar above the white-sand beaches of the Kapalua coast before crossing the Pailolo Channel. In winter, look out for Humpback whales. Over Molokai’s coastline, spot Moku Hooniki rock, the island's first settlement. Flying over Halawa Valley, keep an eye out for Moaula Falls, and Kahiwa Falls, which drops 1,750 feet (533 meters) toward a black sand beach below. After flying over the world’s tallest sea cliffs, your tour concludes back at the heliport.

Due to the weather, we had to switch our original tour plans of seeing Haleakalā and instead took the West Maui / Moloka'i 60 min tour - And I honestly think this ended up being the better option! Captain Kirk took us through so many sights on the island that he said we typically couldn't see because of the clouds, and dropping off the highest sea cliffs in the world was my favorite part! Captain Kirk made the trip personal, continuously checked up on us, and his enthusiasm for the island was palpable. In only 60 minutes, I feel like we saw so much more than I expected. I'd suggest this tour to anyone visiting Maui!

If you only do one thing on Maui, make it a helicopter tour! Our 60 min West Maui and Molokai tour was INCREDIBLE! Our pilot, Cameron, was perfect for a helicopter full of first timers (including kids). His calm demeanor and vast knowledge of the islands kept us engaged, entertained, and the perfect playlist piping through our headphones added to the overall enjoyment. He also was able to circle around a couple whales so everyone could enjoy watching them from above! The staff at the office is very nice and accommodating, all around 5-star experience!

Fantastic experience that left us stunt by these beautiful islands. Cameron was a fantastic tour guide and pilot that shared his passion for the island and allowed us to see hidden gems only accessible by air. This was the highlight of our holidays in Maui and made us wanting to come back. A final word to also thank the whole Air Maui staff for their excellent service and facility.

Great ride! We felt very safe, very organized on check in and loading. Our pilot was informative. The beauty that can only be seen by air is amazing. The valleys, the north shore, at times it looked like something from a movie. Hawaii is amazing and this is a great way to see places you won’t see otherwise!

What an amazing experience! My wife and I were here celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and she has had “take a helicopter ride” on her bucket list for a few years now and we thought there probably couldn’t be a better place to make that happen. Kat was great as she got us in the day before so we could make it happen on our last day here. The whole dispatch team was just as good once we arrived on-site. We were lucky enough to get Capt. Jim, obviously the views were going to be amazing regardless but his knowledge, commentary, and sense of humor really made the tour that much better. We will be back on our next visit, without a doubt.

My flight changed, so I was unable to make the tour. I called to let your business know of my dilemma and see if I could get a refund. Nope, only way was for someone to take my place. You could have at least refunded half my money back. You said you would try and fill my seat to replace me, but how would I know? For all I know, you filled my seat and got double the pay. Sad!

I apologize you were not able to fly but we hold a strong cancelation policy that we need to stick to. You called us at 8:30am the day of your 3pm departure telling us your airline flight changed and you were leaving right then. Had we had more time to fill the seat or we had more notice we could have helped more. We looked into the airlines that day and did not see any flight that time was changed to hours earlier so last minute but if you can provide documentation of the AIRLINE changing your original later flight to a much earlier time then we can see what we can do. Also want to note that we did NOT fill your seat. The flight you were scheduled on took off with your seat empty which we have proof of on video and flight manifest. We run an honest operation here at Air Maui so had we filled your seat we would most definitely would have let you know.

Loved our experience! Jim was our pilot and he is awesome! Good sense of humor, made us laugh, and had a tons of information about the island and it’s history. I had never flown in a helicopter before, and was a bit nervous... but he let us know when to expect every bump, gust of wind, or turn. I felt so prepared and wasn’t scared at all. The team there is so professional and friendly. MUST DO! There are so many aspects of Hawaii that you can’t see anywhere but from the view point of Jim’s helicopter!

I was a little leary purchasing my tickets through Costco for this excursion, but it turned out to be incredible. Not only did I save money by buying my tickets through Costco, I had their warranty to back me up. Once I had my tickets, I spoke with Kat on the phone and she was awesome! Answered all of my questions and gave me all of the info I would need once we arrived. We went in the summer (mid-July), but because the helicopters had air conditioning, it wasn't a problem. The views were breathtaking, definitely something we would do again every time we go to Hawaii. I would recommend flying with Air Maui again because of the experience and the knowledge of all of the girls in the reservation department, and our pilot. Jamie was awesome! He answered all of our questions about the locations we were flying over and even played music for us that made the ride even more memorable. The only suggestion I would have to anyone going on a helicopter tour is to wear dark clothes with no writing or stripes on them. I was wearing a dark green shirt, but it had stripes and they asked me if I would mind wearing a jacket (which they provided) while on board. It was a light weight coat, and with the AC, I didn't even notice. By far the best thing we did while on Maui, and we can't wait to get back and do it again! Highly recommend using Air Maui, ask for Kat and Jamie for incredible service!

We choose Air Maui a day before we flew. We did a price match for Costco price around 200 per person. I think if you research, you might end up paying less around $150. We choose the west Maui and Molokai tour. Due to some reason I do not remember our 45 min tour was made to 60 min tour. We choose the back seats in the helicopter as front seats you will have to pay more. However back seats also do give you a good view of the island.
They will recommend to wear dark clothing to avoid reflection in the windows. At the air Maui center you go through a safety video tutorial and may be a waiver form to be signed. When our turn came, we were seated as per the seats assigned and given a pair of headphones which is used to listen what pilot is narrating and you can ask a question to the pilot. Pilot played his playlist throughout the tour which matched with the background to get a surreal feeling as we are in some place out of the world eg Playing Time from the movie inception when watching the waterfall in west Maui mountains.
The tour covered the west Maui mountains, we went quite deep inside to see the waterfalls, cliffs of Molokai, rugged blueish beaches which are not good to dock the boats, coral reefs etc. Me and wife are very pleased we took the helicopter tour to see the magical place Hawaii-Maui offers from aerial view. I would recommend anyone to do a helicopter tour, it’s an out of the world experience. I would recommend Air Maui highly.
