Wow, what bang for my buck!!
I was picked up at my hotel, drove over an hour in an air-conditioned bus to see 3 temples, have a delicious buffet lunch, a river cruise - all with a kowledgable and entertaining tour guide- then we were dropped off at our hotel. All day for under $100! What a great day!

        Excellent tour
Great tour today. A full day one but interesting and good value. War cemetery for the death railway. Very moving. Great to walk over the bridge and then a train ride along the railway for a lunch stop. Drive back to Bangkok.

        Best day tour.
A very good day. Collected from the hotel. A nice drive out to Ayutthaya which was remarkable. Down to the river for a lunch cruise back to Bangkok. Staff were all great.

Bridge on the river kwai trip
The whole trip is run well and the guide and driver are great. Trip on the train was nice and chilled and lunch was good. Long tail boat was ok ..photo on the water heading up to the bridge is nice. Only downside is the return to bangkok, it does take a while as bangkok roads are so busy

        Great tour
We had a great guide! The bus was comfortable and the food on the boat was tasty. The boat could have stood for stronger AC, but we’re in a heat wave so it’s probably fine normally.

        Excellent tour
This was a wonderful tour with several stops that were all insta worthy. The tour guide also takes your pictures if you’re travelling alone or even if you’re in a group. I recommend this tour. Definitely worth what we paid for.

        A great tour of Ayutthaya
A well managed tour of a few of the Ayutthaya temples with a great history brought by our tour guide. The coach rides were very comfortable and we had a wonderful boat ride back into Bangkok while sitting on the front deck. Lunch was a tasty buffet of Thai food.

Don't book this tour. It's not what it says.
We had booked several tours through Viator prior to arrival in Asia. This was NOT worth what we paid. After receiving several emails about our tour, I thought it would be great. Nothing on WhatsApp the day of tour. We found our guide with a paper and my name on it. We had a large van and a driver, as well as a guide. We were unprepared for this. The drive from cruise port to the Grand Palace took 3 hours. The driver spent most of the time either on his phone or chatting up with the driver in their own language. And, they were loud! The driver would speed up and slow down, not a pleasant drive. We arrived at the Grand Palace (well, across the road and down a bit from the actual palace) Apparently, there was some type of ceremony that caused traffic to back up. When nearing the gate, the guide told my husband, who was wearing shorts, he would need to buy pants. He admitted it was his fault for not advising on this at the cruise terminal, where we met. He laughed. Also, he was a challenge to understand. He did know the Grand Palace, though. He was wanting to take lots of pictures of my husband and I and was angry when we kept telling him no. We were at the Palace for less than an hour. The guide asked about shopping and we said we were not looking for high end or junk. We are more impulse buyers than shoppers. We were looking forward to the market we had requested in the selection process. The guide decided we did not have enough time to go to the market (it was about noon and our onboard was 5:30PM) Instead, as he was busy on his phone, sending kissy face emojis, and speaking with the driver, they decided to take up to what was clearly a shop for tourists. Jewelry and junk. We browsed and when we went to find the guide, he was have a drink and chatting up a lady at the counter. All the way to Bangkok, we had no real shopping experience and no opportunity to have a Thai lunch. The guide insisted we head back. Again on the return, the driver and guide were talking and laughing. At one point, the guide explained to us that they get paid by the day not the hour. So, at the end of an 8 hour day, with allotment for lunch included in the 8 hours, they would not be paid extra. I guess the driver and the guide wanted to be done before the 8 hours. And, they were. The driver was much speedier on the return trip and we were back on board before 3PM. Guess we did have time to shop. This was 100% the worst tour and not worth even half what we paid. I will not recommend to anyone, not my clients and not to other travels.

        Interesting day viewing temple ruins
We were picked up from our hotel in an air-conditioned coach and drove about an hour with some commentary along the way. It was an interesting experience, but a very hot, humid day walking amongst the ruins. We visited a few other sights in the area before driving to the river where we boarded a boat which served a delicious buffet lunch and cruised back to Bangkok, viewing many interesting sights along the way.

I was excited to be able to see the sites of Bangkok by evening on the river. And while it was nice to be on the cruise ship and see the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, it was hard to see them unless we were standing out on the deck, which was crowded, and the only place for smokers to go, so it was smokier than I had hoped. The food was good, but not amazing, and I definitely could have done without the dancing entertainment, which was basically three beautiful women each dancing in rather skimpy clothing. (I had been hoping for more traditional Thai cultural dancing).
While the saxophonist was sadly out of tune the whole evening, the main singer was actually quite good, and by the end of the evening she had us singing along with her and dancing together. I give most of the credit to not having a horrible experience to her!

In the end I was greatful for a chance to see Bangkok by river, even if it wasn't ideal, and to relax and sing and dance to some fun tunes. But, I probably wouldn't' book this again if I were to return.

Booked this in advance of arriving in Bangkok as we did not want to lose a day of not doing anything. The email instructions to collect tickets for the boat ride were confusing and not clear, as it stated 2 different locations, Redemption point and meeting point. Had to ring the number on the booking on the day to check which was the correct location to arrive at, then finally found table to collect ticket.
This was to be Asiatique Riverfront (Warehouse 7-8), which is located inside the shop/stall areas, however there are several operators selling boat ride tickets so you need to check which is yours, and also departing from same pier point but at different time slots (confusing).
The boat ride itself was okay as expected, buffet variety of local food and other but strange combinations and not so authentic, quite average. The entertainment was good although we could not really see much from where we were seated on upper deck, table no's allocate in advance and so many people!
Entertainment started with traditional Thai dancers followed by western singing by Thai lady (very loud, which took up most of the night).
Nice to see some of the sights lit up at night for a different experience.
Bit pricey for what it was, slightly cheaper if you buy at location, which is easily done if you go a day or so in advance.
Asiatique Riverfront (Warehouse 7-8) is a good location if you just want to wonder as it has eateries and shops (all selling similar tourist items).

We were excited to see the temple at night and hope to get a calm and romantic evening because we saw on the postcard. We arrived at the pier but a bit confused of the check in because so many boats and different times. The buffet dinner looks good but when the time ready!!! OMG 😱 like zumbie time. So many people and limit of service for everyone. The foods not tested as expected. Not the real Thai foods like Thai foods in Europe. The music very loud and mix a lot from frist floor and second floor. Our first time and last time! Good to see the view we really enjoy!!

This has probably been the worse experience someone could have whilst visiting bangkok. The directions are poor, not a single person understands English, no one wants to help and lastly no one replies on the emails or phone. I have sent numerous emails stating a refund for a trip I didn’t do. We practically arranged a taxi and got told to go somewhere completely else. Never had a chance to see Bangkok. What a waste of a day and a 9 hour flight from London. I highly and highly advise as I am not one to leave reviews in any sought not to book this package. You’ll be wasting your money for something you cannot do. Looking at other reviews, they all feel the same. I hope this message is seen from someone in management and can reply to my email and it’s been 6 months already. Have the courtesy!

Our river dinner cruise at night was expected to be quite romantic and personal.
Instead we were herded like cattle after standing in a shopping mall for 30 mins onto one of two boats moored side by side so we had to rather precariously walk onto then thro the first boat onto ours .
      The boat was crowded
the food was by necessity mass produced and tasteless, and the cabaret aweful .
I would not recommend this tour to anyone .

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy the cruise. We propose multiple cruises with multiple prices, each cruise price matches with quality. It is possible that your expectation were not adapted to the cruise you picked. We will investigate, however please be aware that we have an office which we may provide you suggestion to reach your expectation.

Our boat was called Smile Riverside. The cruise provided a buffet and entertainment including traditional Thai dancing. It was worth the money to see beautiful Bangkok lit up at night however as it is only 2 hours long it felt a little rushed with everything happening at the same time ie people walking around the buffet and across the stage whilst dancers were performing (no ones fault) also it kind of became a choice between, getting some food, watching the entertainment or seeing the sights rather than being able to enjoy all 3. Still a great night but it would be good if tables went up individually for food rather than the long queues and if everyone had food and was seated in time for the beautiful traditional dancing..

Very disorganized. There were 7 similar cruises, all meeting at the same location at 7 different desks, and no one could tell you which cruise was yours without trial and error. This was not a relaxing event, but nonstop entertainment and no real chance to see the lights of the city and enjoy the river. I would not reconnect any of these cruises but would prefer a long tail boat tour instead.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and we genuinely appreciate your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that you found the Cruise on the Chao Phraya River disorganized. We understand your concerns regarding multiple cruises departing from the same location. We continuously strive to improve the embarkation process, and your feedback highlights an area where we can enhance the clarity and ease of finding the right cruise. Regarding the entertainment, we do aim to provide a lively atmosphere for our guests to enjoy. However, we understand that preferences vary, and we'll consider your feedback to ensure a balance between entertainment and the opportunity to relax and appreciate the scenic beauty of the city lights along the river. We appreciate your suggestion of a long-tail boat tour for a more serene experience, and we'll take this into account for those seeking a quieter journey. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we'll use it as a stepping stone to make improvements and provide a better experience for our guests in the future. We hope you might consider giving us another chance in the future to show you a more organized and enjoyable cruise. Safe Travels!

White Orchid river dinner cruise was terrible. What really &issed me off was that Tour East booked us on this garbage scow. They’re a tour operator that takes your cash and books the lowest price crap that “technically” fits the description.

Terrible loading, empty buffet tables, awful food when you manage to kick a little kid off to the side and grab their chicken wing.

We booked this dinner cruise with much excitement as we did one 12 years ago on our honeymoon (not sure if it was with this Company or another) and we were really looking forward to sharing the experience with our children.
The procedure to board the boat needs to be reviewed to find a way to make this more pleasurable...it started the evening in a really unpleasant way with a crowd of people waiting to board all jostling and pushing forward...my children (17/11) were both very anxious and unsettled by this. I am sure that there could be a way to do this in a better fashion to create a nicer experience for diners as they start their evening. To be fair, the cruise staff can't control guests pushing and being rude, however - a more systematic approach would result in a better, more manageable process in my opinion. The boat itself is nice and we received a welcome drink on our table which was nice. Getting food was once again, an unpleasant experience with everyone being told they could go all at the same time - and once again, this let to pushing and people jostling in all directions and made obtaining your meal very stressful. The food itself was ok...but nothing special. Desserts were sparce and by the time my children went to get dessert, there was very little left that was appetizing. Entertainment was fun and the host/singer was very good. The views are lovely. The transfers were efficient and timely. The experience for our family personally was poor and we all came away feeling really disappointed - especially as it was one of the activities we had booked in advance and were really excited about. I think if improvements were made to the onboarding of passengers, the way people accessed food (ie not a stampede all at once) and the quality and quantity of food....I think this would create a much better experience that would therefore feel like it was also better value for money.

Dear 364Flossie, Tour East offer five different dinner cruises to our valued customers, and it appears that you have purchased the lowest priced one. I do sincerely regret that the boarding procedure and the buffet experience was not to your liking (and may sometimes be ‘less polished’ than the more expensive dinner cruises). But you are right in saying that this was not the crew’s fault. I cannot agree with you description of the food, however,. As you can see in the Albums and the Video in our Facebook page, the food is of a good standard and there should be plenty to go around! We are happy, however, to see that you enjoyed the magnificent sites along the river and enjoyed the onboard entertainment. Kind regards, Christopher Tour East Operations Manager

We went on white orchard dinner cruise and it was boring.. Not organised well from start to finish. Entertainment was not the best, food was not at all tasty and huge crowds of people and theres no queue system.. Just a crazy rush as you enter and exit and as well as for serving dinner... Very poorly organised. So dissatisfied and disappointed.
